The greatest boxer of all time, in my opinion. Iron Mike is truly the definition of "built different". Also, respect to all of his opponents, who had the balls to enter the ring and face that beast of man.
Exactly, and some of those opponents are pretty scary men in their own right but to step into the ring against tyson...wow.
Under Cus's mentorship, he was unstoppable. I'm sure if Cus didn't die, Mike would have been undefeated to his retirement.

I always knew Tyson was a legend, but never really saw him in action. I recently started fighting and seeing him now…it’s unreal. This man is brutal.
I was lucky to have watched all of his fights.
@@formhubfar same
His short and stocky physique matched perfectly with his peekaboo style.. practically curled up in a ball, bobbing left and right, always moving forward and keeping the pressure on.. avoiding the taller fighters lengthy jabs and catching them one to the body, then one to the jaw.. lights out. Hard to imitate unless you have similar physique. In almost all cases, it's better to be tall with long reach like current champ Tyson Fury and late great Muhammed Ali.
Ha
@@nitsuanomrah6997 what you're describing kind of makes me think of canello Alvarez style too. Tyson is amazing and of course a legend. I think Canello is the current best boxer around :)

@@mariogarcia2879 Guys, can you please help me with an idiom to describe a situation where the my opponent is so strong that my punches have no effect on him?
I totally agree, he's scary
Probably if he hits you with it clean and with no guard up it would definitely have potential to kill you with no gloves
For a heavyweight boxer, this man moved faster than any other boxer in his weight class and he had the ability to unleash lethal strikes without missing a beat. Mike Tyson is a legendary phenom and the greatest heavyweight boxing champion of all time.
0:28 Tyson stopping for a second to think is one of the most subtle but intimidating things I’ve ever seen 😂
He looked like a large cat stopping for a moment to figure out which part to eat first.
Absolutely Ruthless
lol, agreed. He knew the round was almost over yet still took a quick moment to decide his approach in order to end the fight before the bell. He saw how his opponent was shelling up & came in with the classic centerline upper body/upper head to split his defense. Mike was the greatest & that is thx to Cus who saw his raw potential & to Mike himself who gave 100% of himself following Cus's training & fight philosophy.

Boxing could come back today if the best fought the best again. But now they get so many lay ups and easy wins it’s hard to be invested in an undefeated fighter. Especially when the media and seemingly most of the fan base writes them off after 1 or 2 loses. That’s why I’ve stuck with watching the ufc. I personally love to watch career comebacks more than the perfect career.

Jake Paul has a 30 year age advantage over Mike Tyson, and the world STILL isn't sure who will win. That should tell you all you need to know about Mike Tyson's greatness.
I remember as a kid, when boxing was still legal in Norway we had a boxer fighting a match in Las Vegas. We had to watch it at my uncles place, he had a satellite dish. Our guy was mediocre he lost, I remember its was still kinda interesting in a way. But after that came the main event, with Mike Tyson... I looked at Mike and thought, tsss this dude is way too big. Slow af, heavy weight is boring. A boxing match has never again made the same impression on me. This was the Iron Mike up and coming at his prime, he was as fast or faster then a feather weight, with lightning fast reflexes and a technique that was godly. I cant remember who his opponent was but he was totally outclassed. He didn't stand a chance. Later on the sports news we had a interview with our guy, and they started talking about Mike. He said yeah I know Mike we used to train in the gym together. I was like wow, he knows Mike? I was a instant fan.
So fucking good bro, prime Mike Tyson might be the most dangerous man to ever walk on this earth
Yeah Jake is dead 💀
Look at the size difference between him and his opponents & zero fear. He just kept charging at them till he put ‘em down. Never seen anyone with this much power & balls since
I respect the fighters who didn't do trash talk, stood up like a man to Mike and fight till the end. They just couldn't do much to a guy who wanted to hurt them and kill them. Especially with these skills.
"the closer to the ring the more confident i getz once i'm in the ring i'm a god. Noone can beat me." -Mike Tyson
Those bombs !!!! I'm glad I witnessed a Tyson era. As much problems as he has had,he matured and is completely as different person today but don't be fooled, beast is still inside
@Peter McKinlay I COMPLETELY understand what your saying he never had the never say die MENTAL FORTITUDE of an Evander Holyfield or Ali or Joe Frazier but in the same breath I believe his UNBELIEVABLE Natural Talent was among the BEST EVER and I'm referring to any fighter EVER to this day the combination of SPEED and POWER is untouchable I mean you had guys that were ULTRA-FAST but never had this kind of power then you had guys who hit like no other but weren't half this fast but in the end he FAILED BIG-TIME when his calling to be the GOAT was there he never answered but I CHALLENGE ANYONE to show me a fighter with this ULTRA-RARE talent
@Mynne_ one thing I will agree with is Tyson was hands down the most PHYSICALLY GIFTED HEAVYWEIGHT EVER but he did struggle with resistance and self doubt WHY? I'm not sure with his TALENT he shouldn't ever had doubt but he did
@Mynne_ the funny thing is when you had the PHYSICAL SKILLS Tyson had you didn't have to have the dead game grit and determination of a Holyfield because you'd simply just kick their ass on just your natural talent alone
I couldn’t be any more proud of mike.
@Peter McKinlay 6 times he failed and 50 won,Ali won 56 fights and failed 5 times yet they're treating him like the God of boxing but if you're checking both numbers, there is not really much difference,is it? Well Floyd Mayweather has impeccable resume but everyone's accusing him of running, how do you explain that? You seem just like another hater who crawled out his little stone just for the sake of trolling

Tyson had the most vicious uppercut in the history of fighting period he leveraged it so well
I saw all of Iron Mike's fights and there was nothing like the build up and anticipation of a true Heavy weight champ. Only problem was they were over in seconds after watching hours of the under card fights. Beast💪👊
Mike never had any fights, they were executions! 🤣👍
It became known if you ordered the PPV or were going over to someone's house to watch it don't go to the bathroom or go get something to eat or drink and definitely don't show up late cause in the blink of an eye you'd be watching a the knockout on replay as the entire house was screaming in shock and amazement. Tyson PPV was truly a spectacle of its own. Nowadays people complain if they see a main event on a PPV card and it goes 12 rounds. Mike Tyson was way ahead of his time. No other heavyweight since has come close to this kind of dominance. The speed to power ratio was insane.
Mike Tyson is the best ever. He is great to listen to , brilliant fighter.
What makes me laugh is Tysons early opponents trained in the 70s trying to dance around him and hold him. He would just punch through it. Lmao

I've seen his fights so many times i sometimes think i might be obsessed or something :)) fact remains that even if i'm not a kid for way too many years now he's still my idol.
Epitome of speed and power. I get the power part, but so amazed by his speed. The strength it takes to throw that much power in a millisecond. Unbelievable 🤯 he makes it look easy. Mike is great and deserves all the recognition. But so does Cus, and I want to know how Cus reached through to Mike. I need a Cus in my life.
Finally a wise man.. im growing up.. The lethality this man possess is hilarious when he's, just psychologically focused.. It's not about size, and merit or pure instincts anymore.. Iron Mike is just so savage, jesus..
Tyson was an educated warrior. Thats why he was so brutal. He became like the greats.
I noticed that Tyson is often shorter with less of a reach than the opponents he faced here, despite that he is still downed them and took some blows himself and kept standing. Knocked them out before they even touch the mat, what a beast of a fighter.
