2024 Lamborghini Revuelto Review // The 1,001 Horsepower Aventador Successor
The 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto is the company’s first high-performance hybrid supercar. Powered by a roaring V12 with an absurdly high 9500 rpm redline and three electric motors, the Revuelto makes over 1000 horsepower combined. All of this explosive and electric power is connected by a transversal dual clutch e-gearbox, which aids in achieving Lamborghini’s claimed 0-100 kmh time of just 2.5 seconds. But performance aside, does a hybrid Lamborghini still feel like a Lamborghini? And how is it on the track? Thomas is off to Italy to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. And then subscribe, silly.

I love the concept of a NA V12 mated with electric motors. It’s basically a no-lag alternative to a turbo-charger that doesn’t ruin the sound of the V12. Epic.
Looking forward to listening to an aftermarket exhaust on these some day, it's a tad muted on the outside shots compared to what it could be. I still think the Murcielago is the best sounding V12 ever.

The most impressive thing about this car is the weight. V12 + batteries + 3 electric motors and it weighs less than the latest M3.
As a new m3 owner… agreed
@@Bimmer_BillI have an F80 comp, just ordered a G80 comp xDrive, but haven’t yet gotten to drive one. Is the weight increase *that* noticeable?
@@mpow3r972 no, because the chassis is far more composed. It’s such a brilliant machine.
this is a 2 seater supercar, and the AWD is made possible thanks to the electric motors… the chassis is in carbon fiber. The M3 is based on a 5 seater sedan (obviously heavier than a 2 seater) made with conventional, heavier and cheaper materials, it has a conventional AWD system that adds weight (in the xdrive configuration), and it has all the technology and comforts of the normal sedan (which also add weight). Overall the m3 isn’t that heavy, and it handles better than its rivals and all its previous versions on a track

It was actually a nice change of pace to have Thomas on his own for this. The extra time dedicated to him describing how the car moves on the track was super interesting. It felt like a Clarkson-era Top Gear review where you had one host with dedicated screen time and a singular view point backed later with the opinions of the others.
It would be nice to get more in-depth solo segments with each of them. Sometimes you had Clarkson, sometimes The Hamster, and sometimes May.

If the Revuelto can produce that much power, imagine how the SV/SVJ version is gonna be like.
Right? Makes me wonder what the Huracan replacement will make. They say it will have a twin turbo V8, what a shame. I wish that they did to the Huracan replacement what they did with the Revuelto. The EA824 V10 was a masterpiece and everyone loved it. The stock engine and internals are insanely strong. It has been tested handling over 1800whp, over 2000hp to the crank on stock internals and lasted for a very long time. Edit: I think that it would be cool if Lamborghini gave it a rwd mode and different transmission maps akin to what the modern M cars have. They have these different modes/maps that you can choose from. Would be nice to have the aggressive and mental shifts that the E-gear had, your typical ignition cut shifts that most dct’s have- like the way a Huracan/R8 shifts, and the map the Revuelto has.

I love the idea of using the EV components to flatten out the powerband - We are going to see peaky low displacement turbo charged engines and fewer gears in the transmission required to get the same performance, as long as the world's governments continue to allow gas engines to be developed. A much smaller battery is advantageous in most situations.
The government should ban private jets and private yachts before they ban combustion engines. Otherwise its just another way of hurting lower and middle class, which is unhealthy for a nation. You take away too much from people, they are gonna revolt as they have nothing to lose.
@@danieldorn9989 while I agree that this seems to be the aim, I think a "revolt" wont happen anytime soon. people are focused on living through their life. history shows that something really dramatic for a long time needs to happen, such as hunger for people to actually set aside their life and be ready to protest in more significant ways
History also didn't have the world wide web, social media and 1000 ways to communicate to anyone in the world. @@bozhidardimitrov3573
@@danieldorn9989 We are seeing movements by many world governments to phase out and ban ICE engines over the coming years. We are all clearly going to see how much of it is political posturing vs actual legislation, but I am generally not for banning anything, not even private jets. If governments want to impose some sort of higher taxation on the burning of fossil fuels because climate change or something, then so be it, and let the people decide whether they are going to keep those legislators in power. I would love to fly my own personal aircraft if I could afford it, even if it isn't the best use of my money or the best thing for the environment. The Revuelto is a cool looking car; Lambo should be allowed to continue to develop cars like this if they want to, and there are people willing to pay for it.

That is how you properly implement EV tech into your car. Amplify what's already there, not make it the main feature. If anything, it's a bit like a checkbox for compliance but it has its own perk. I may have gone with 'plugs are for lamps', but that's half the fun of this channel. 😂

But here's the thing, *this is still the Peak.* Lamborghini having maintained their stance in keeping the screaming V12 in their flagship car in this post-Modern day n age of Batteries & Robots is by far and easy going to be the Best automotive achievement of this Century. 💫

I think everyone decided to forget...that the McLaren P1 came out so long ago that Throttle house wasn't a thing yet and we were all still watching top gear, and it did everything this car does...but more crazy.
I disagree. It is a great car, but it has a turbo v8. I don't think there is another v12 mid engine car under a million USD --> Best Value for the money.
Not just the P1 but in fact all 3 cars from the holy trinity - LaFerrari, 918 and P1, were already so far ahead of their time, whether it's technology, design or performance, that even after a decade has gone by, they can still challenge the hybrid supercars from the current generation. The Revuelto is too late to the party!
@@amarjit_singh_it is far from late to the party. More can be done with hybrid. Only thing it would be late at is being the first hybrid supercar.
@@gaara4667 The competition has already moved on, given that Lamborghini benchmarked it against a car that's more than 4 years old and out of production.
