    • Honestly they should record themselves playing the most popular classical pieces on violin so editor San can edit it into these videos instead of the orchestral records which are copyrighted. Sure the orchestral ones are better but for the sake of these small videos, a melody lines played on violin is good enough.

    • In my experience the MuseScore 4 midi has actually been super problematic, especially with the brass instruments. There’s a lot of balancing issues among instruments and putting a dynamic marking down affects the measures before and after it, it’s weird and I don’t like it

  • 4:04: The 1808 gives it away, since it was the year that Beethoven's famous concert in Wien where the 5th and 6th symphonies was premiered. That is what everyone thinks of, when 1808 in Beethoven's life comes up, so it really couldn't be anything other that the 5th symphony of the choices available.

  • Since it's coming up soon: how about a review of the evolution of violin-playing on Eurovision? I know it might be tricky regarding copyright (maybe turn off the sound from the get-go for Mr Rybak), but that would be really cool. Especially if you really looked at the evolution, not just recent clips, but also older ones where they actually played live - playing instruments live was banned in 2004, but before that, the playing was live, and until 1999, the performers were actually accompanied by a live orchestra! (I get why they stopped doing it but it's still a shame; it's pretty amazing that was a thing for over half of Eurovision history!)
