  • Dem pearls: 1. Overall, accelerate as you start from the floor 2. Follow the same technique each time. The three accessories 1. Training your upper back for strength: (15:00) Barbell- GHD machine with a focus on 'upper body activated in a back squat position' and go up to 45 degrees. 2. Strengthening your quads: (20:30) Practicing front and back squats to train the quads for the right positions and dynamic strength 3. Strengthening your traps and calves: (25:53) Weight lifter's squat with a contact at quads- a cue to go onto toes and activate traps (shrugging). I think this also trains body mind coordination to go into triple extension while actually lifting.

  • Impressed that he says you will spend 2 months preparing the body. Lots of people would tell you to just go in and throw weight around but he mentioned several times the importance of staying safe and being able to safely hold positions. NOTHING is more demotivating then getting injured. I didnt start lifting weights until late in life and not knowing what I was doing, I ran in and had a pretty rough injury. Immediately lost motivation. I healed up and got a coach specifically to learn to safely mover weights and haven't stopped first. Ive grown to really enjoy training quite a bit. You feel so much better after training.
