The rustic kitchen currently used is lovely for the Lalande family breakfasts etc but for Marie to have stainless steel wipe clean surfaces and everything where she needs it would be amazing. I thought Marie may wear her chefs attire in the kitchen after going to chef school. She looked lovely and so professional in it. The other cook was Maria. Idk why but I just never took to her. I can't put my finger on why.
I think the food factor is overdone everyday. It's like a cookery programme and spoils the rest

Her cooking skills have always been excellent. With the extra bit of polish acquired from the recent cookery course, she will do very well.

You could always order faux gold jewelry wire to attach the electrics to the lights. It might be even more discrete than the tape.
You can get it in several different shades of gold, it would be ideal. that or gold twine.

I cried when I saw the (Michaelangelo's) Pieta in person ...not just because of the subject matter ...but because of the sheer beauty and quality & expression of the sculpture. Great beauty, whether of nature or, objects d'Art that are man-made can bring tears to the eyes for sure. ❣🌹💗

I absolutely love this channel and everyone at LaLand! I look forward to these videos every day. I also love going back, from time to time, to Stephanie’s very first video and binge watching all her videos from the very beginning! I do it every now and again, because I have loads of time on my hands every day and what’s better to watch on KZhead than The Chateau Diaries….absolutely nothing, because The Chateau Diaries is a channel full of love, laughter, family, friends and miracles…I LOVE IT! This channel lifts my mood, makes me smile and I also get to travel again by watching it. I was injured in the military (spine and other serious injuries) so, I spend a lot of time, alone, in my hospital bed at home, so to pass time, I love going back and rewatching all Steph’s videos. Just seeing how things have changed and transpired over the years is absolutely amazing to see, as well as seeing all those that have come and gone, as well. I absolutely adore Steph and Philip and all of LaLand and I feel like I’m a part of a very special family of people that come from all over the world! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I often feel the same way ...particularly on difficult days when my Chronic Lyme acts up and gives me joint and limb pain... nothing like what you are going through I'm sure. Lancelot walking in the woods was so beautiful - I notice your Greater Stitchwort is out and looking as if it's been fed manure over the Winter - perhaps that is just next to little L.. And I never thought I would say this, but I missed the guests. Having them back is such an energy boost to the chateaux. Very pretty dress, Stephanie, and Phillip, you excel at anything decorational, including that table.. Things would be complete if your mother and Percy could return - she has always been such a vital part of chateaux life. Miss her.

Steph, the fluffy white flowering plant at the beginning of your walk is called Tiarella. The common name in US is foam flower. I love this plant!

Everyday you succeed in your guest dinners, you should go and pick a bluebell flower or other type of flower and press it and at the end of the season you could arrange them and frame them. This will sound strange, Stephanie, I’ve been a patron for a long while and have watched literally all of your videos from the very beginning , several , more than once anyway , my point is I’ve been on many walks with you , on the paths , at least I feel like I have, you make it so enjoyable , I love how you make me , and I’m sure everyone feel like we are your friends and we are on a stroll in the woods.. your videos with the good , and even some of the bad things that happen, make me smile every time I watch.. Lancelot has come such a long way from the frightened little pup who was too nervous to venture outside. Now he's living his best life. I love seeing him enjoying the freedom of the grounds of Lalande. He really is a very lucky little dog, what a great life.

Lights in the dining room, use gold wire and wrap it around the entire length following the spiral design of the arm. Will totally hold it in place and look pretty as well

Stephanie’s right! - the gorgeous bluebell woods are like being in a dream and I have taken screenshots from a previous years vlog because it was such a heavenly sight to me! The Bluebells are so worthy of making prints of or making cards for the Lalande shop. I also had the thought that maybe Lancelot should have a high viz vest or collar in case he gets lost amongst the leaves in the forest.😅🥰
