I think your journey into ownership of a chateau and garage work and the bar …what ever else there is so much nicer than an office job any day!!! Enjoy in your own terms whatever your passions are ….at 76 and fading…the container house on a lake is still very appealing!!!❤😊
Chateau like this are so beautiful. So much amazing character and charm. Restoring these homes is a passion that ends in an amazing property. I personally love older homes and always will .
You both have to put up with a lot. I have found all of you through each other’s videos and it is my daily pick me up to watch all of your wonderful videos. Bottom line, all of the things you do, decide are no one else’s business. I thank you both for continuing to post.
I think getting rid of all the pots and planters is a great idea. A nicely kept lawn and driveway looks much more elegant and is simpler to maintain. If you want flowers, one pot by the front door will be enough.

Phil, Usually silently, I watch your videos and I have decided I need to say something. You don't owe anybody anything. You don't need to apologise for anything, You don't need to take a blind bit of notice of anyone's comments. You should never feel the need to open up your home to anyone else, just because you did so before. You can have a party for your nearest and dearest friends without feeling guilty you aren't inviting anyone else. You are such a lovely man, You are actually too nice and that's why you seem to keep explaining and apologising. I really did enjoy the video about the tunnels underground. That must've been such an exciting discovery and it's a shame the history wasn't properly documented before the old boy died. Thanks for a really good channel. I totally agree with your experimenting with the alternative living situations, the château is a good place when you have a partner that is willing to work with you or partners. Finding a smaller place where you have connections with other people seems like a great idea. I am an 81 year old retired clinical psychologist. I am a single person after losing my son and my wife, we all need some form of connectivity and living in a big house alone is not a good idea. In my opinion. Much luck on your new.

LOL👍😉 Find out where Billy had his"Crack On" mugs & baseball caps done as it could be a great added revenue stream for your site!💲 And regarding added revenue, put that terrific glass front beverage cooler into your pub instead of the workshop & fill it with brightly labelled coolers, spritzers & soft drinks so patrons can see alternative options if they may not feel like a beer. 🥤

I need to mix up some of that natural weed killer for the cracks in my concrete driveway. Hitting the weeds with the string trimmer every 7-10 days is getting old fast! And I live in a 3,000-square-foot house in Florida by myself, and do all my own lawn work. Lots of people tell me the same, that it's too much for just me. Sometimes it can feel a little overwhelming, but I also feel like it's exactly the right size for me. Totally get not ever wanting to live in an apartment again. I love having my little space cushion around me!

Phil, there is nothing nicer than going to bed in a luxurious bedroom with beautiful linens and furniture in a colour scheme that is just for you. I spent the most money in my very basic home on my bedroom and it is very special and elegant and every night when I go to bed I feel lucky to have a beautiful place to lay my head. Good on you and make it your own. P.s. make sure you spoil yourself with some really good linens.

I could live in your chateau all by myself. Doesn’t bother me to be alone, I like solitude and I have been alone for 15 years since my husband died. We were married 32,5 years and after he left me alone I got used to be by myself. I have a full time job and I am quite happy to come back home and spend my time as l like. Your suit will look beautiful when finished and you will be very comfortable there. Good luck with your renovations 😊 By the way, it’s your Chateau and you can live and do whatever you want with it.
Have you considered “dragging” the gravel like Amaury does at castle Ten Bourgh? You still have to spray weeds occasionally but a little drag or land plane behind your mover would be easy.

A Chateau on an island connected to a beautiful park of clear lawn with beautiful specimen trees in the right places. It sounds luxury. A lovely vision. An automated grass mower! And annual tree professional visit? And you can get on with the things you want to do. And the owner's suite is a great idea. 😊
I was curious when Billy said he didn't like the drinks fridges when they arrived... Having seen them, I thought to myself "Surely a drinks fridge is a drinks fridge? They're all pretty much the same" 😂
