  • THE FAKE LIMP!!!! Takes me back. During a year my wife and I spent in Mexico a stray dog (that was serious like the IRL version of 'Tramp' from 'Lady and the Tramp') set up residence on our street for a couple months. He had a limpy paw too...unless you obviously had food or were walking coming from the direction of the Oxxo (Mexicos 7-11 equivalent). He'd full blast gallop right up to you, hop around adorably, sit down obediently, whine dramatically, and if you still hadn't given him anything...TWANG! Up popped the gimpy paw to hang there limply. He had a whole array of con-man antics. It's a stray/rescue thing... Thanks for another great video!

  • Area 51 is an old WW1 and WW2 proving ground. My great uncle was stationed there in the late 1940's, like 1948, and even back then there was enough unexploded ordnance from WW2 to level New York City like eight ties over.

    @StevenCouncell@StevenCouncell19 күн бұрын
    • These test areas within the Nevada National Security Site are often referred to by their specific site numbers, such as Area 5, Area 15, etc., where different types of activities related to nuclear testing were conducted. If your great uncle was involved in operations connected to unexploded ordnance or other military activities, it might have been within one of these specific areas of the Nevada Test Site rather than Area 51 itself, which is primarily associated with secretive aerospace testing and development.

      @DCEntropy@DCEntropy14 күн бұрын
    • @@DCEntropy Area 51 switched commands while he was out there. Before the switch it was a test site for bunker busters and "Jumping Beans" and other nonnuclear unpleasantness. He said they had to drive to 51 at least three to four times a week during the switch to disarm or detonate some unexploded ordnance that turned up.

  • Very cool! By the time you stopped near the gate, before the alarm went off, your vehicle details etc would already be on their database. Good that you didn’t get to encounter any of their guards. Take care and safe travels.

  • Glad everything worked out okay! It was a great idea to make sure you were on public land before calling it a day. That alarm would’ve scared the crap out of me, too! Rodney learning the limp for attention is hilarious! I love that you went out of your way to explain the rancher’s mailbox and clean up around it. • We stopped at the AlienIn for hamburgers a few years ago then drove to another entrance to Area 51. We stopped about 100 feet from the gate where a posted sign warned us that going further was prohibited and we could be shot. There was a dark green pickup truck on top of small hill just past the entrance and a guard standing with rifle was next to it. We turned around and left but at least we could say " been there, done that".

  • My Stanley, who is a 3 year old pug does something similar. He absolutely loves to take the longest walks. And I absolutely love to take him. It's probably in my top 5 favorite things to do. But sometimes I have to cut it a little bit short. Work and other pressing obligations, etc. But he will start to walk very slowly, and then start limping, the closer we get to our home (we live in a 26' Forest River camper.) when it happened the first couple of times, I was seriously concerned. I picked him up, carried him the 100 or so feet back to our camper. Gave him 1st aid, and so much attention. But after about the 3rd or 4th time, I noticed that it was happening at roughly the same spot. Turns out he's a big faker. Just trying to drag out our walk, and time outside together. He's actually very smart. The smartest dog I've ever had. And I love him so much. He's my best friend.....and my road dog 😊.

    • Wow! How fun! I am enjoying your videos. I am new to you. I just started to watch on Monday. 4/15. It’s fascinating to me how many different reasons ladies have for van living. I wish I had done it when I was young. I was a widow at age 54. I sold my house. It was on a big ranch with my husbands surrounding me. His brother didn’t like me. Like it was my fault his brother died of cancer? I busted my butt trying to keep him alive. His brother was always jealous of my husband cause he was smart and good looking and tall. Lol His brother was none of that. Lol They lived on the ranch too. Thry did all kinds of stuff to irritate me. I sold my place and split. Lol I would have bought me a van then. I didn’t know about van living then which was in 2001. If I had I might have bought one. My health is too bad now and I’m too old to do all the physical stuff I would need to do to van live. I have serious back issues.

  • Hello, Nikki and Camper! Awesome video! Area 51 has always fascinated me... Theirs is TONS of conspiracy theories lol! Yup from aliens to German WW2 technology... I heard too that past the hills the base is 10 miles away from the entrance and is underground. Also, snipers on the hills with thermal vision I heard. There is also, an episode on the X files where Mulder and Scully find a time travel device haha...

  • Back in 90s me and my buddy were in Oklahoma for a church retreat. We were outside talking and saw a light high up in the sky. All of sudden it moved so fast, then it became two, then 4, then 8. They were flying around for about 10 minutes and became one again and left. Now we are talking about distance where big planes would fly so at that height planes look like they are not moving even though they are fast. But these traveled super fast.

  • This would be a fun area to check out. Growing up in the 90's I remember seeing a lot of shows on Discovery and other channels about the mystery of Area 51 and I was really intrigued by it as a kid. That was a great place to stop for the night and like you said, probably one of the safest spots you've been to so far.

  • And by the way, you do know about thermal scanning cameras, that can see right into a car like an x-ray machine, which is what they were watching you with the whole time by the way😂 so there’s no hiding in your car from those cameras Nikki❤😘

    @JayneW911@JayneW91120 күн бұрын
    • No. This is just not true. Thermal cameras most certainly cannot see through METAL walls...they also cannot see through glass. This is what happens when people get their "facts" from television and movies. NV could potentially see into her windows but she uses shades.

    • But on a brighter note, you do know we have ground penetrating radar right we’ve had that for over 20 years! And we do have thermal scanners that can see through things that’s how we found victims of the world trade towers. I should know because I was there I’m a first responder.!!!

      @drwheycooler8423@drwheycooler842319 күн бұрын
    • @@JayneW911 GPR has been around since the 30's. They did NOT use "thermal scanners" during 9/11 because, AGAIN, they cannot see through things like concrete, metal, and glass. You were not in NYC at any point in time on or around 9/11. You would know how we located survivors and bodies if you were. You would also know that thermal imaging would have been useless due to the heat of the fires that burned and smouldered for three months after 9/11. You are just full of lies...in hopes that someone praises you. Just stop.
