    • Yeah, right as he was starting to figure out how to do it. All it needed were some canards on the front and we would have had liftoff from a runway. But nah, let's just use the wings to do "the usual" that we see in literally every other Car Pal vid.

  • You need to have the centre of gravity in front of the centre of lift, otherwise your "aircraft" will be unstable and won't fly without a flight control system.

  • Small planes actually take off at lower than 100mph. Heck some old Saabs (the kind of 50s teardrop shaped ones) would lift the rear off the ground if they got up to 70mph because of how aerodynamic with no down force they were.

  • The end was a great example of why a helicopter works! Except the one wing would need to be pointed backwards to exactly match a helicopter's blades. _(technically, you'd use two of the _*_same_*_ wing)_ That could be another video... Using wings to try and turn everything into a helicopter! 😅 Maybe rip the engines from the Me-262 and strap them to the wing tips... Or the JATO pods from the bus, that might be easier _(although, their angled nozzle might complicate matters)_ Oh! And make a Test Dummy "Buzz Lightyear", with a JATO jetpack 😅

  • Well. You miss the back fins for maneuvering the car and the leverage needed for take off. Kerbal Space Program made a pretty good job of teaching me this. There a central lifting force to take into consideration too. Your cars are basically un-flyable as is.

  • In order to make a car fly the wings need to be double the size of the car I think because the wings need to have a certain amount of lift but also the wings can’t be to big… in other words the wings need to be able to creat enough lift that is equal to the weight of the car to create a stable flight. Or at least thats how it is in real life
