In this video I cut the very hard mineral Moissanite. This is a 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale. It took by far the most effort to complete but the results are incredible.

Bro just casually makes the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on this earth.
right?
I’d hardly call this “casual”; it seems like a boatload of work!
Bro created the modern equivalent to a Silmaril
casually? Did you miss the hard work? Shame on you.

the final shot of the die turning in the dark and projecting itself onto our world, its numbers floating through our reality amidst the sea of colors - that's the spell Hypnotic Pattern in action. Absolutely stunning and unreal. Thank you for creating this.
I love the way you put this!
That is exactly what it felt like! Had to sit down, pause and rewind cause I was doing laundry while watching lol
@@alalessia yes! The video itself is a work of art, about a work of art!
I could legitimately watch that d20 rotate in the dark for an entire day. Absolutely mesmerizing!
@@LtMashumaroabsolutely we need a longer video of this.
My wife’s wedding ring has a moissanite stone as the center stone. It was cheaper and more refractive than diamond. Pro tip!
It's essentially diamond anyway. Nearly the same hardness, same crystal structure, similar composition (silicon is chemically similar to carbon)
Is your wife's moissanite stone colorless? I've seen moissanite as diamond alternative, and in my opinion they're much more beautiful and special than diamonds. Diamonds are what they are because of a brilliant ad campaign in the early 1900s, and continued market control by De Beers. Diamonds are found in nearly every part of the world, and aren't rare in the least. I'm glad that people are starting to figure that out and leaning away from diamonds for engagement rings and other jewelry.
@@QueenQuill I'm not the OP but my wife has a near colorless moissanite. It's great she loves it nobody thinks it isn't diamond and it gets lots of compliments. Although anytime it's at the jewelry getting work done I get a frantic call of "Sir! Please know I haven't touched ring but stone is no diamond is moissanite. I'm sorry to tell you. Still want work done?" 😅 the relief when I tell them I know it isn't diamond is great. I tell them every single time what the stone is but the repair men freak out and just call.
@@QueenQuill isnt ruby or sapphire more rare than diamond?
@@sharpy3453 Ruby is, but rarity can't be understood without considering size, clarity and a million other things. Also, sapphire comes in every color, and ruby is just red sapphire. Unless the ruby is a spinel, but then it's not actually a ruby even though it's famous and people call it a ruby. And spinel is more rare than ruby. And there are gems that are a million times rarer than that, like benitoite.
This video was pure MAGIC, you’re editing and cinematography just keeps getting better. This stone made my jaw drop with every stage reveal
Shout out to Andrew the editor!

The final reveal of that D20 is exactly how I imagine one of the Silmarils to look. Absolutely stunning.
Have you ever seen something so beautiful that it brought tears to your eyes? This just did that for me. As an artist, gamer and amateur/hobbyist gemologist, your work always holds such wonder for me. But there's something about this stone, and what you revealed in it, that speaks to my very soul. Thank you for continuing to share your incredible artistry and craftsmanship with us. I am in awe.
Thank you very much for the kind words. I’m glad this fits into the different hobbies you listed.
not only is it beautiful, it will also basically never get scratched unless you keep it in a bag with another moissanite die or one made from diamond or something

*Rolls die, entire reality shatters*
Table saving throw: Critical failure 😨
Roll dice, someone snatched up the dice and ran.
Absolutely insane how you could so clearly see the numbered facets in the light refractions at the end
The final result is wild! So many sparkles it's almost hard to see the die itself. Stunning though, amazing work as always!
that's the magic or I called as one of pros of Moisanitte. They sparkle so crazy and laser like. some people not like it, but they are really good gemstone if you like more laser focused & rainbowy sparkle; which exclusive to them compared to Diamond which more subtle & glimmering than sparkling. Also due the hardness, Moissanitte is quite good as daily gemstone as well, some of my friend had it for years and not shown crack/scratch, except when they combined it with other diamond jewels. that's why Moissanitte often marketed as for self-reward gift, eco & conflict free diamond alternative; because all gemstone quality ones like here, were lab made.
...Wow! That was amazing. The "disco ball" shots were a particularly nice detail. I can't believe how beautiful it looks when faceted and polished. It's incredible that that beautiful object was hidden inside the featureless greyish cube you started out with. EDIT: Oh, and now I know about Moissanite, which I didn't before, so thank you for that too ;-)
I’m glad you learned something. I have learned so much from KZhead and I’m happy to be giving back some.
Moissanite is the best. The gem in my ring was like 1/4 the price of a diamond, and I get the rainbow sparkles!
From every single die you have in your channel, this is hands down the most beautiful and most mesmerizing one, absolutely crazy
dice is plural, die is the word you want. :)
Thank you so much!
Wow! That final shot with the light bouncing everywhere and the outline projected on the wall with such clear shadows of the numbers makes it look like a magical relic!
my adhd says i need a new hobby. but my wallet says i’m happy living vicariously through your joy
idk which one I love more this stone or your amethyst cut. Well done!
I know! The amethyst was my favorite until I saw the moissanite, they are both so gorgeous.
As a dice goblin that absolutely loves moissanite, I didn’t know how much I needed this. Thanks for sharing this absolutely GORGEOUS dice with us!!! 💖
i agree.. if you ever have the thought of selling your cut dies ... many of us would be lining up for one of these
Dude, that's just crazy epic. You have some skills.
This is, by far, the most stunning gem cut into a die so far. I am familiar with moissanite so I can totally appreciate what they look like in hand. Nicely done!
Nice, i like how it almost turns rainbow in some angles. Very impressive, thanks for putting the long work in for it.
The rainbows are cool because you can only see a few colors of light in them. This is because the LED I used to light that shot does not truly have white light.
I would say that is the most beautiful d20 I've ever seen but it goes beyond that. That's the best looking gemstone I've seen kudos man, well done
Can you share where on Earth you got moissanite rough? Have things changed since I was faceting often? The material used to be completely unavailable to hobbyists. I have some pretty rare/interesting synthetic materials worth trading.
Turtle's Horde is always looking for stuff i think.
Turtles horde is always out of stock 😢
so true @@SoulAir
This was likely made to order so maybe the client had the stone already.
A quick Google of "rough moissanite" produced a number of results.
These dice bring me close to tears every time I see them. I keep watching these videos and they leave me speechless. I gasped loud enough to scare my boyfriend when the rainbows appeared around your show. This die is so gorgeous and your video work is amazing. Good work!
Soo Satisfying watching the Dice being made, Always look forward to seeing these
7:22 "The more I make, the more I hone my process; the less it feels like I'm creating something.." That's exactly it. It's not about the dice, it's not even about fully about the stone though I appreciate what you seen in them and the inspiration you get from them. It's about your process; that is what you've created and should be proud of. That and all the dice.
I don't know how many of your videos I've watched (a lot), but it never gets old. The final reveal is always stunning. Your videography and editing really tell the story of the stone shaping, rather than just documenting the event. I look forward to the next one... :)
Love the in depth description of your process. This is so satisfying to watch. Love the channel and I look forward to every episode!
this is your best video yet, absolutely amazing camera work, and your confidence is through the roof. that last shot of the die being polished took my breath away. keep it up these are always something i look forward to ❤
This looks so good! You should also make a video showing off your entire collection - I think everyone would enjoy it
One of those things in life that can truly be described as "glorious". A magnificent piece!
I don't know how a dice can bring a tear to my eyes but damn, this was beautiful
Yes another beautiful stone turned into a gorgeous die. good work.
This is the easiest channel subscription I’ve ever had. Great work on the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in my life.
Love your work!! each video manages to impress even more than the last. Beautiful!!!
Bro the reveals are sooo nice!
Too short though!
Stunning as always -- I absolutely love to watch your videos.
This video is incredible. The shots and the music and the beauty of the dye, all the work you put in, amazing!!
great work as per usual, keep it up man, always happy to see one of your vids pop up on my feed
FANTASTIC VIDEO! Like wow, such a step up from your previous videos (which are also great). I almost shed a tear
My favorite channel. Glad you're getting some recognition and perks from people in the industry
i look forward to your vids man. its entrancing watching your process. thank you
Love the extended glamour shot on this one Just such a gorgeous stone and shown in a way that really lets us take in its beauty. Thank you!
This was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen. More than a few tears came to my eye in the final shots…What you do redefines “breathtaking”.
Another beautiful video with another gorgeous piece of art that is the dice you continually create. You are a magnificent artist and I'm so in awe after every piece. Wonderfully created!
need someone to talk up my potential like this man did that rock. I'm in tears. This is the first thing I've seen from you, but your work is sublime. I'm such a utilitarian, but you've managed to make a game piece into a jaw-dropping work of art. You made beauty here. thank you
Simply gorgeous! Thank you for showing all the work that went in. You're an amazing craftsman!
That last show was truly jaw dropping! Absolutely immaculate!!!
dude i love your videos so much, i love how you also show your whole process on making these! great stuff my man!
The result is absolutly stuning!!! Your work is incredible!
absolutely mazing. this was so insane to watch! i loved the final shot and thumbnail, it looked almost like the dice was some kind of arcane focus that gave off its own magic internal light!
This is just insanely beautiful. Worth every bit of effort, and those closing shots were glorious 👌
That is one of the most Gorgeous Dice I have ever seen. What an absoltuely breathtaking showcase too. Great work!
That was so absolutely gorgeous it has me in tears ❤ your work is amazing and the utmost respect is placed in the beauty of the material
Watched every die making video so far, and this one is by far among my favorites, keep up the awesome work and I absolutely love this piece!!
I always love when I see one of your videos pop up in my new section! Amazing as always 👏👏
Wow, amazing work! This video is as much a work of art as the piece being shown, bravo!
This is actually mesmerizing to look at. You never cease to amaze me man. I never get more excited to see a new KZhead video than when I see your videos drop.
This is stunning! Absolutelly beautiful! Great work!
Yet another one that gives me goosebumps at the final reveal. Absolutely stunning work once again!! 🤩
Smiling more and more as the video played. What you created (or revealed) is truly beautiful. Paired with that music this feels like something one should watch and listen to with a glass of wine.
I can stress hard enough how much I love this channel! I dropped everything as soon as i saw that you uploaded a new video! Every video you create reminds me that nothing is more beautiful than watching a true artist at work. And that final shot! Breathtaking!
The evolution of your videos and your work is amazing, it's so nice to be alive and be able to watch this
Absolutely phenomenal. Not just the gemstone and dice, but your craftsmanship and editing skills as well. I'd buy one of those dice in a heartbeat if I could!
Also, your editing is amazing. That final shot is gorgeous and we would totes just put that on in the background. "Fireplace vid? Psssh, nah. We got this gorgeous die to watch project itself into the void."
Wow! Your dice are always incredible, this is your best one yet! Good job on those reveal B roll shots too! The mirror shot and bright focused light did a fantastic job of showing off just how beautifully it turned out. I hope the result made the extra time investment feel more worthwhile!
That came out absolutely stunning! I love the play of the dichroic colors with the fire layered on top
Amazing craftsmanship. I believe this is your best work so far. Fascinating rock by the way!
What an amazing piece! Truly outstanding. You deserve all the praise you receive then some👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow, that is absolutely gorgeous! As a huge D&D nerd with a big collection of rocks and gems, I was IMMEDIATELY hooked by your channel man! Keep it up, I'm so glad I stumbled across you!
Beautiful craftsmanship. Love seeing people do such high quality work.
That gemstone looks absolute gorgeous You always do such an amazing job cutting and faceting these gems into beautiful creations. I hope to see many more in the future ❤️
What a spectacular dice! The last shot was absolutely fascinating! The final result is so impressive, it looks like a gemstone you would put on a scepter or crown. Well done, you keep surpassing yourself with each die.
I love your videos so much. Seeing you reveal the stone's beauty was a joy. Also I learned what Moissanite is!
I have been following your work for what feels like the very beginning. and i have to say you keep out doing yourself each and every video with the cinematics, the editing and the general vibe. I am unfortunately so VERY poor or else i'd be buying/commissioning at least twelve d20's cause holy wow!
Every time you release a new video the quality reaches new heights. There is no hesitation to click on your videos when they appear, and this is easily my favourite die you have created to date. Congratulations on finishing such a masterpiece, your dedication and hard work is demonstrated in the final product. You are a master of your craft.
YESSSS IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! I've been hoping for this for so long!!
STUNNING! It looks just like a tiny star :) My wife and I are always amazed by your work, and your explanation of your equipment was very interesting :) Keep up the good work!
This was by far your best work. Well done!
I cannot even begin to express how amazing that looks! Fantastic to see the stone really transform, thank you for the video
I really enjoyed you explaining how your machine worked, your work is really fascinating.
I've seen a dozen or so of your vids and what you do is such fascinating art. But, my man? You KILLED it this time. Just ... damn. First that lovely sentiment of finding the art already in the stone and setting it free, then the soaring piece of violin to enhance the firework show of the frankly stunning piece? I'm actually a little misty-eyed.
That is the most beautiful dice I've seen you make so far. That was stunning to look at.
I cant even describe how much I enjoy your content! This gem is GORGEOUS
I'm always impressed by your dice! But this one is by far the craziest and coolest one I've seen!!! Amazing job!!!
your creations never cease to amaze me each and every time. Can't wait to see what the next one will be!
Beautiful work! The colors are wonderful.
These videos you do are freaking works of art. I find it insane that you can see a stone or meterial and see the beauty inside and carve it out so perfectly
Thank you for making beautiful objects and sharing them with the world!
This video was reasonable well done. The gem turned out perfectly, like a genius work of art🔥
This turned out stunning, that cut worked amazingly for this!
The process was so fun to watch, the anticipation of what the final product would look like was so worth the sweating buckets. If those final shots with how the light was refracting through the die were to be anywhere, I would want to see those beautiful lights at the end of time. ❤ Very Amazing work man ✨🫶🏽
That is so sparkly it's unbelievable!! Also, loved the music in this one
Ok just when I think you can't make a more mesmerizing piece of art you do. This is my favorite so far. I actually have no words for how truly amazing this D20 turned out. Can't wait to have this feeling again on the next one lol!
I was so looking forward to the first time you’d work with moissanite, and this blew past my expectations. This is a beautiful stone that was beautifully crafted.
This is stunning! Very good work! 😍🌟
Hands down the most impressive dice I've ever seen. I appreciate the DIY approach and attention to detail. You should be proud!
That’s gorgeous! Amazing work.
Congrats on the sponsorship! Enjoy the new 3D printer. Well deserved!
