Today’s guest is Caleb Brewer.
Caleb is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces soldier and the founder and owner of Stick Sniper Archery in Tucson, Arizona.
He joined the Army in 2005, eventually earning the coveted Green Beret. In 2015 his life changed when he was critically injured by an IED resulting in the loss of both legs while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan.
During his recovery process, Caleb gravitated toward the outdoors. In 2017, he discovered his love for archery after being given a bow. He quickly went all in and built a service shop in his garage and started bowhunting. In 2020, Caleb developed the archery program for Operation Enduring Warrior, a nonprofit organization that supports veterans and first responders.
In 2021, Caleb founded Stick Sniper Archery in his hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Stick Sniper Archery is a comprehensive archery pro shop with an on-site range offering lessons for archers of all skill levels.

  • I love your show Jack but this one struck a chord. Caleb is a really inspiring guy. I got hurt in 2019 and I can relate to his story, although I didn't have the honor of serving. Thank both of you.

  • My wife and I used to have similar conflicts with hikers and mountain bikers when we put on endurance horse races. We had constant problems with people pulling our flags or moving our trails. In a couple of cases it resulted in riders being injured. The thing that was irritating is that these people were hijacking trails that the horsemen created and opened. They could use the trails 362 days of the year but we couldn't have our 3 days. Sad.

  • I bought my first Compound Bow (Browning Bushmaster Deluxe) when I was 13, I'm now 60. I still have that bow and it hangs on the wall of my "Man Cave" along with all of the other Bows and Crossbows that I bought over the many years.

  • Mountain biking has been taken over and ruined by yuppie _assholes_ . Im in my 40s, grew up racing BMX and was a litteral pioneer of DH/AM mountain biking here in the PNW where the modern sport was born (built much of the Post Canyon trails here in Hood River OR and all over the area) and now days its a rich effete yuppie sport for people who can barely ride their $5K 29'rs. As an archery addict whos seen the same stuff at TAC up here in ID/MT it pisses me off so much to see these people just take over the thing I helped to invent 30+ years ago.
