  • I live on Long Island and have visited Toronto 6 or 7 times, but not in about 8 or 9 years. Wow! the skyline sure has changed! Looks a lot different. I guess its time for us to start thinking about another visit.Looks good!

    • @@SkyCruizer One more thing... the average human has no patience, low attention span and looking for some excitement. KZhead says they like videos less than one minute... hence why they now have SHORTS. So... use that information like this: Don't waste time making a long edit. Just post each clip of about one minute. More videos, more views. Top creators have hundreds and thousands of videos posted.

  • In the 10 years since I left Tdot for good, the cityscape has transformed so much in that short time that I barely recognize it anymore. There are some pockets of positive change here and there but for the most part it's (limited) aesthetic charm, and overall quality of life has taken a steep dive. Toronto in the 60s to the mid to late 90s had something of a local, slightly ecelctic, distinctive personality to it. it was subtle, and you had to look for it but it was there for those of us with a yen for the offbeat. Sadly, greedy developers, generic architecture and a kind of B-level intenational stature with attendant global chains, replacing local businesses this city has a soulless, generic, vibe best exemplilfied by the multiple-hundreds of soulless grey glass box condos stretching almost to the horizon in every direction. At least the lake is there to stop a potential southern march of this design banality.

    • I totally disagree. While I haven't lived in Toronto back then, it was a car-dependent hellscape from what I've seen in some pictures. The whole harbour was packed with parking lots and you call that great? Right now, the city is getting urbanized at a quick pace and public transit is seeing a huge expansion. As for the condos, I think that they look nice especially at night with all the lights
