A Sunrise, Florida police sergeant is seen on bodycam video grabbing a female's throat during an arrest on November 19, 2021. The officer, 47-year-old Christopher Pullease, was charged with four crimes for this incident, including battery and assault on a law enforcement officer. Pullease was arrested and pleaded not guilty to all four charges last Thursday with his next hearing scheduled for September 8 in a Broward County courtroom.

    • Having worked in one of largest cities as a cop, I noticed the look on the other officers faces. They had that look of “ Oh no, here he comes.” This sergeant is likely a known liability. Probably juicing. In the days before cameras, guys like him with altered uniform sleeves to make their arms look bigger, would show up to a call and not announce their arrival to the dispatcher. Thus, their name was not assigned to the call. Because he was not assigned to the call, he would take liberty to take some shots on the arrestee and just leave the scene. This would leave the officers left at the scene, to deal with taking the subject to the hospital and deal with the subsequent Internal Affairs investigation. Loose cannons like this were riddled throughout the department. My favorites, were the ones always finding dogs to shoot. Later they progressed to people. Like serial killers. If you said anything, you were labeled a rat and get run off of the job, or tucked away in the personnel division. So, you learned to leave any call that the psycho showed up at. We even had females like this. One in particular was a female officer that hated men. ( being politically correct). I called her “ Anna the Hun”. She always found a way to kick men in their privates. I could go on and on, but I’ll just end it with I am fortunate to be out of that totally dysfunctional job.
