Did you saw the other part? Yep it's a hint
@@sugartonix what other part
They wouldn‘t have mentioned it, if they don‘t get any. I THINK they won‘t have outfits, but amazing and gorgeous wings
Lol. We need wings! 🤣
Where are the rest of the specialists.. I mean techa isn't here but what about timmy and BRANDON...?
its so dull the costumes are just not winx the hair the vibe. if this wasn’t winx then it would be ok
it doesn't really matter what it is. it's cool right?
We're in 2021 not 2004 lol. The way they dress in Fate is how real teens dress today. Besides, their outfits don't change the plot at all. Didn't matter in the cartoon and they don't matter In this either.
@@Rachel-xi9gi The fashion was a big part of the winx. It was some people's reasons why they enjoyed it so much. It does matter and even if they were going to make it darker, why couldn't they stick to the original colour scheme bc that is what the fans want to see. If it wasn't call Winx, then it would be great but they're naming something winx when it barely resembles it
@@Rachel-xi9gi I agree it doesnt really matter from an entertainment standpoint but thought I'd just point out that fashion was actually a big thing in the cartoon (they specifically consulted with designers at the time to make it perfect and had a whole character based around fashion) so its understandable that fans of the original would be slightly disappointed by the lack of proper style. (Stella wouldn't be caught dead in half the stuff these characters are wearing)
@@RBee411 I know I wouldn't either. Gosh,🤣🤣🤣 those outfits make me want to crawl under a rock and never get out. Also, as a fashion student, the funny thing is, early 2000s fashion is already back in fashion. Crop tops, peasant, blouses, mini skirts, even cargo pants and flared jeans. they are all back. So why not use that to the advantage of the show? That is what baffles me. Cause as you said, the fashions were big for the og show. Real big. The sole reason I was watching it as a kid. I was mesmerised by the colours and the fun outfits, and the fairy forms with the fun wings. I still am. Kinda the only reason I am still watching the classic show even now. This would have worked as anything but a Winx reboot. They could have just called it "Sabrina's Replacement" and I would have been ok with it. But calling it Winx and ignoring the things that made the classic show special I have a problem with. Edgy doesn't mean mature, colours and fun aesthetics can still work as mature through the use of proper storytelling. I feel like the muddled colours and overall repetitive darker aesthetics we are currently bombarded by the entertainment industry aren't really mature, but rather act as a cover for how poorly written and unimaginative a plot can truly be. You can't even call it edgy anymore, 'cause this aesthetic has been so overused to the point where it lost its edge and just has become dull and washed out. I am sorry if I am a bit harsh, but again, there are some things I draw the line at when it comes to how much u can change until a thing loses the thing that made it special. Make more mature plots and further develop the characters? Sure. Change the entire aesthetic and cut out characters just because (also whitewashing which is not good)? No. As some comment's said. This show has reached the thin line of not being able to be told apart from Harry Potter, Riverdale, Sabrina or Percy Jackson, which is not good for maintaining a show's sense of identity. I am giving it a shot. But if you ask me? This is not really worthy of carrying the Winx in their title. Fate would suffice. Sorry if I offended anyone. I really did not mean to. What I said here is just my honest opinion about how this show in its current state makes me feel😔😔😔

okay so: actually its a pretty decent show BUT literally nothing like Winx. First of all, removing Flora and Techna, literally one of the protagonists that have been a part of Winx club since the very beginning is just unreasonable. same goes to Timmy, Brandon, Helia... and Whitewashing Musa and taking away her original powers... they did her so dirty. like what were they thinking? also, i understand that Riven is a mischievous person but did they really have to make him say so many sexual jokes? like- winx is supposed to be fun and energetic! not something as dark as this. i understand that they tried to address a larger age range than the usual but still... as someone else said, it literally feels like a witch movie and not a fairy one. and the thing i hate the most is the weird love triangle they tried to make between Sky-Bloom-Stella. like what... Stella has never been interested in Sky as she and Brandon were together. and the way they portrait Stella... you get my point. It all just feels like an alternative universe lmao. and the effects, especially in the season finale with Bloom as she was using her magic. I honestly expected more from Netflix. It all just seems low budget. Please put in more effort next time you’re gonna make a show out of a lot of people’s childhood.

While it doesn't look too bad, the one thing that kinda pisses me off is that Winx Club was never really about elemental magic. Except Bloom, whose power came from an external source, the other fairies used magic that felt like an expression of their individuality, and a reflection of the worlds they grew up in. Flora had nature magic due to her fondness for nature, Musa developed sound/music magic because music was the closest connection she had to her late mother, and Tecna's intelligence and technological expertise made technomagic her specialty. In addition, she came from a technologically advanced dimension. Aisha's power was not really water, it was her power to shape pink energy into what she needed. This show seems to be trying to retcon that, slapping on the whole "elemental magic" thing; if they wanted elemental magic, they should have adapted the W.I.T.C.H series instead.

Please make season 3. I’ve been waiting for this and just found out that it’s been cancelled.
I watched this with my daughter the day it came out and now she can’t stop thinking about it. The cast has inspired her to be who she is and to believe in the magic in the world. One of her dreams is to become friends with the cast. Thank you for Sharing the magic ❤️

Everyone talking about Musa not being Asian, while Flora and Tecna are nOT EVEN THERE-
oh no, Flora is there. They just completely changed her into being some random white girl related to Bloom
@@lolwutrly yes! Chubby Flora 😑
LemonDrop lol true but hardly anyone is a natural blonde into adulthood, but so many people color their hair that most people don’t know the difference
They name dropped Flora in the first episode, the chubby girl said she had a cousin named Flora, so they may bring her in season 2

WE NEED SESON 3!
what people loved about Winx that makes it so timeless: - the fashion - the aesthetics - the diversity - the creative and mature plot contrasted with the seemingly innocent atmosphere - the transformations - GLITTER Netflix: mm yes, but no
the fact that they had magic AND technology, suck it hogwarts
Well tbh I was just in with the villians Like the trix and valtor but still. No trix here ;( except stormy i think.
It seems you haven't seen winx in a while lol Watch season 8, that's white washing and lazy writing
@@KaioMichiru22 shhh season 8 is not canon
@@birb353 I think the trix were all smooshed into one character. Beatrix, I'm assuming.
East Asian Queen Musa isn’t here such disrespect. We, Asians barely had any representation but yall made Musa, white?
There are many types of asian and the actress is one of them. She's half Singaporean. Yes, biracial people count and saying they don't is racist. A lot of Asian Americans are biracial.
@@KaioMichiru22 winx isn’t even american and admitting the characters are whitewashed is ok
@@cinnabon944 Winx is Italian American since 2011 whe and Nick bought the show. Do your research. You don't know what you're talking about lol
@@KaioMichiru22 she's only 25%, that doesn't make her Asian. And her being "Asian" is just a rumor to cover up the whitewashing.
@@KaioMichiru22 There is no such as thing as American or Asian in the winx sage. There are races, but since there are so many planets with so many of their own races, it doesn't even matter. But indeed if Musa was born on earth she would be half-Chinese with Chinese features. So it has nothing to with Italian or not, why don't you do your research first? Bloom is American, as she is based off of Britney Spears. Layla/Aisha is African American, as she's based off of Beyonce. Musa is Asian, since she's based off of Lucy Liu. Flora is Hispanic, she's based off of Jennifer Lopez. Stella and Tecnha are simply white as well, since in space they don't have "American or British." In the 4kidz version though, she had an British accent or something, which in space would probably be pegged as just an accent or has an universal name for it and Stella I feel like would either French or most likely American as well since she speaks like a valley girl sometimes. Musa should have some Chinese features as well, there no excuse for having an 25% Asian person who doesn't even look Asian let alone Chinese.
ive seen this series 3 times over now... im in for the 4th now.. hope season 2 come soon
Netflix: *"look guys! Magic! Violence! No fairies and colors! Aren't we so relatable?!"*
Maybe in season 2? lol
There's wings y know
It's actually very relatable to some of us.
It's better this way
Thats what also makes a show men can watch 😂😂
They should’ve just called this “The Fate Saga” and given the characters different names. Think about it, they changed the original show so much that no one would even notice this has anything to do with Winx if they didn’t have the same names lmaooo.
Not really the key elements from season 1 are there
Theo Ah yes, important stuff like Tecna, transformations, the Trix, the specialists, and the diversity are all here! You’re totally right.
@@-Theo- they have specialists , they’ll have transformations in the future cuz they teased it and they got a bigger budget for season 2 , and tecna isn’t that important in season 1 , and they can bring her in the future like flora , diversity I agree with , BUT I’m talking about the plot of season 1 , the important parts of it are still there , there are a lot of similarities , you just have to be objective and not come from a place of judgment
Theo All I need to know is that they whitewashed two poc to judge. Also, they took away everything that made Winx Winx, and they only left the most essential parts of the plot but at that point they boiled it down and changed it enough to a point where it could be linked to many shows, not just Winx. And how could the main plot be the same if the Trix (the main villains) aren’t even there? And even if the plot was exactly the same, they’ve made enough changes (for the worse) where I cannot ever watch this and think to myself “Oh look this is based off of the Winx Club” (Also we have the same name oop)
@@-Theo- hahaha true we do 😂 , btw I means that , yes they did change things but I don’t think it was for the worse , musa whitewashing was messed up , bir I try not to look at tera as flora , cuz I think they’ll introduce her like they did with Layla in the animation, in season 2 , I feel like , riven being manipulated by the villain was the same as animation, so was him feeling like he’s being second best to sky , Beatrix looking for the unknown like the trix , bloom’s dragon flame , company of light , withces trying kidnap bloom as a baby for her power , bloom learning who she is from the villain etc………… basically it had a lot more small and bigger connections to the animation than I thought it would have , also I think those “blood witches” are going to be the encestrial witches , the ones who tried to steal bloom in the animation, btw the final shot when the girls were at blooms house gave chills for so,w reason 😂
We really wanted to be season 3 of it. But sadly Netflix had cancelled this series
I take back every negative and prejudicious things I've said about this show beforeㅡI just finished the series and ended up loving the cast, the acting, the plot, the pace, the adaptation.. Everything. Screw comparison. It all makes total sense why they had to base it on Winx. I got too judgmental and I don't regret giving it a chance. So can Season 2 come out sooner?!
*More like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Riverdalde emerged*
Yet nowhere close to being as good as any of them.
I mean yeah winx(the cartoon) did have a school that trains fairys and the main group had elemental powers but that can literally go to any other fantasy/sci-fi show ever created
@@queenmoreau2098 Riverdale? Good? Oh sweetie...
Yes! : )
No no no, don't invoke the name of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson like that! Keep their names far away from this...this MESS. 😂😂😂
Why do people hate this reboot so much? It's because they called it Winx but removed Tecna, replaced Flora with a whole new character, whitewashed Musa and took away her original powers, changed the entire lore, got rid of the huge world the winx live in outside of Alfea such as Cloud Tower and Red Fountain, replaced the iconic Trix with one fairy (they're witches, not fairies), and changed the entire dynamic of the girls' friendship.
I do like this show but man, the Trix not being there really disappointed me. Maybe next season?
Man this is too much I am hurt really upset. They destroyed it man I hate Netflix
I know, right?! There's no Brandon, Helia, Timmy, Nabu or Nex... what even is this? There are certain things that I do like such as the fact that they added women of different body-types and that some characters have different sexual orientation. Lmao if they were already doing that much, sticking to the characters' original racial background shouldn't have hurt. Also, the fashion is so bad. Am I the only one who feels weird seeing Bloom in red clothes? Like, in the show she almost always wore blue, her signature colour. It's just bad. I'd rather they not call it a winx adaptation at all.
Winx was about sparkles, color, fashion, cute guys, wings, friendship and magick and it seems they've given it the superhero treatment and removed all the light and beauty...
Well it's not even called Winx 'Club', it's an adaption.
They should have made it exactly like the original, with a cast that looks the same. No point in calling it a Winx Saga otherwise.
I just finish this, It was pretty good to be honest. The characters were diverse, everyone has their stories, and their problems, It was nice to see them over it. There are still some problems, but this show is definitely worth the time, and I hope they make ss2
Why does Netflix want to make everything depressing, edgy and dark? Like, no. Where's the sparkles, glitter, y2k fashion TF?
Exactly so pissed
I do not care of what they think about this but for me,... FATE WINX SAGA IS WORTH TO WATCH.

I'm sorry but just because it's "young adult" doesn't mean you can throw everything about it being made from a show originally targeted at children away. Did they forget that most likely 90% of the fate audience fell in love when they were kids? That what we loved then is why we still love it now as adults? That maybe we have a different view of what classifies as "young adult"? Winx is Europe's magical girl group and here we are trying to morph them jnto Americas "young adult trope". Winx's fan base was built upon different things than the stereotypical netflix young adult show. That's something to celebrate, not try and fit it in with the others.
Exactly... I’m so disappointed

"Unbreakable" by Fireflight would have been a perfect theme song for this series. It has the same lyrical mood as the cartoon theme does but, with sophistication. I watched the cartoon with my daughter when she was a kid so when this series came out I was so excited. To make this series work and get Winx fans loving it, get that *MAGIC* from the cartoon to the big screen and you will have a #1 series for all fans.

I can think of nothing worse than a faithful adaptation, like I really don't see how the songs and transformations and glitter could be not cringe as hell
@@schwaben4120 it don’t have to be a literal remake. But there are countless ways of relate the aspects that the audience likes. Instead of the whole cutaway for the transformation, Bloom can just catch on fire and form a new outfit, for example. For what I’ve seen, the only things that relate are the names of the characters (kinda, cause there are missing characters) and the fact they have powers... pretty generic.

For those that say this isn't something like the winx club or whatever it isn't, it says fate: the winx saga not winx club.
They could've made an entire show with the exact same everything if they just changed the names and stuff.

Netflix Producers/Writers: How many tropes do you want to put in this? This show: Yes.
they just BUTCHERED this series. Well, they wouldn't be the first ones, but couldn't this be the earth fairies at least
I didn’t watch Winx that much but the moment they stated how Bloom was different from the others and her being the most powerful fairy and all, I knew how this would go(like they didn’t just give us that with The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina😂), I’m just sick of “the chosen one” tropes.

What I’m saying is that Bloom as a character was very self centered all those scenes with Aisha she never really asked about her life and was expecting her to be some sort of round the clock helper. There was even a scene when Terra said guys don’t like her because of the way she looks and Bloom acted oblivious and then redirected the convo to be about her issues instead of affirming Terra.
