  • I don‘t get why so many comments are about how predictable the plot of this movie is. Honestly it‘s a romcom what do you expect lol (not the genre with the most plot twists I‘d say). Even if it would be a fresh new take on the genre, it doesn’t necessarily have to have an unpredictable storyline to be enjoyable to watch imo. I think the Trailer looks quite good or at least better than I expected so I am definitely going to check it out before judging:)

    @gutenmorgenjana@gutenmorgenjana2 жыл бұрын
    • I think people are referring to how much the movie revealed. Every genre has a predictable plot where we have an idea of the set up, but this specific trailer basically told the whole story and left nothing to the imagination. I'm sure it will be a good movie, but it's the trailer people are critiquing.

People claim "let there be some mystery" and then people don't watch movie where the lead might not get the girl. The data is so strong on this. And people claiming "I saw the movie in the trailer not watching this" are not necessary sticking to some random commitment they made somewhere weeks ago.

It’s very rare to see white female/asian male couples in movies and the fact that they didn’t pick a typical handsome guy was very refreshing. Also, they touched a few sensitive topics about asian males and how they have a disadvantage when comes to dating so I really liked the message behind the movie. In the East, prejudice against nerd is not so much a thing. Nerd and everything else is weighed the same.
