Which exact mask do you use? Model please
@@gurugamer8632 A KN95 mask would be fine. However, if you want extra protection you can use a painting respirator.
@@HowToVideoChannel ok thx
This is how you make a how-to video! Short and straight to the point, no bs talk like what you had for dinner two weeks ago or showing your dog running around!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed our no-nonsense and no fluff approach!
Very good comment 😂. Straight to answer!
Hahaha totally!
Yup, this is what KZhead should be promoting.
thanks mate you may have just saved me my apartment's bond! absolute Legend.
Glad I could help! Consider liking, subscribing, or even leaving a tip!
Awesome information, worked absolutely great!!!! Mold gone for 6 months now! Not one trace of it or spor!! Thank you for this video.
Awesome! Glad the video helped you!
Great video ! Very helpful & informative. I also can't recommend enough to pick up the respirator mask & gloves. Also, having a quality spray bottle really makes the job that much easier.
Yes, a mask is essential.
Thanks this was helpful, now I can have a clean window.
Awesome!
This work you guys! Very cost effective bang for your buck
Yes, glad it worked for you!
this is actually a great idea. I always have toilet bleach that says it can be used for ither cleaning. means I won't have to buy extra products to clean my windows and window sills.
Excellent
Would you recommend staying of the room for a day or couple hours with the window open, just to air out the spores?
Great vid but you also need to seal your windows to keep it from coming back as your windows don't have a seal on it to Keep the moisture from coming in.
Yes, that is very true!
The moisture is from condensation from differing temperatures inside and outside the house. Think beer can, or cold glass of lemonade on a hot day.
This is good advice. However, I live in a swamp where we have screens. I have trouble getting the screens on and off.
Yes, screens can be a pain to deal with.
Is the use of respirator mask for the bleach vapors or for the mold? I need to clean my kitchen windows and don't have a mask.
More so for the mold than the bleach.
@@HowToVideoChannel OK thank you.
Hi, Would white vinegar work for cleaning mold on window sills?
Definitely!
Ok if its wooden window? What do you do ? Obviously not bleach right? Any experience with this? Thx
Vinegar would work well.
ok is in not gonna damage the wood? its untreated natural wooden frame...thx @@HowToVideoChannel
Vinegar won’t hurt it.
Hiii can you make video about how to remove mould from walls ??
There is a video on my channel.
Will that solution destroy vinyl windows and rubber gasket
It shouldn’t. But try white vinegar instead.
after i kill the mold like in the video, how much time does it take until i can sleep in that room without fear of black mold toxin in the air, so to speak?
I suppose it depends on your ventilation and whether or not you have any air purifiers running.
If I dont have an empty spray bottle, can I use paper towels soaked in bleach?
You can sure try it! Let us know how it works!
Sure you can use soaked rags
Do you use same method to remove mould from bathroom walls?
Yes, it would work. I have another video on my channel for a wall with a lot of mold.
Hello, can I use regular mask 😷?
Yes, of course
If the gunk does not change color, does that mean it's mildew and not mold?
Not necessarily. Does the gunk come off? That’s the main thing.
@@HowToVideoChannel it came off really easily with a little microban, and left no stain. But I have a second window with white mold
Clean it off with microban, vinegar, dish soap, or another product.
How does the mould get there in the first place
Moisture.
@@HowToVideoChannel yes you’re right
@@HowToVideoChannel how we get rid of moisture then in first place getting there
Run a dehumidifier 24/7 inside, never open the window, and put plastic over the outside to keep moisture from getting in. Basically - you can’t.
@@HowToVideoChannel you have to control inside humidity. What happens is moist warm air contacts the cold glass and this causes the moisture in the warm air to condense out on the window. If the glass was not cold this would not happen. Air exchange helps a lot with this issue which is why many homes have air exchangers. I used to run my air exchanger all winter and I never had any mold at all. This past winter I decided to try to reduce energy costs so I left the air exchanger off all winter (as it brings in cool air) and there was always condensation on my windows. They are now covered in mold. So I know first hand how effective an air exchanger is at preventing this problem.
Windex works too.
Excellent!
Tip 2: Secondly, avoid using the wrong mould removal chemicals. When trying a DIY mould removal procedure, there is the possibility that you will encounter numerous types of cleaners and chemicals that you can use. More often than not, people use bleach in an effort to kill mould, which is can be a mistake. As much as bleach might be effective in the dissolution of mould on hard surfaces, it would be ineffective in textured and porous surfaces. Even more important to be aware of is the fact that some concentrated chemicals tend to be corrosive, in which case you might end up causing more damage to the facility. Some chemicals would even pose a risk to family, pets or workers. It is advised that you talk to professionals for recommendations on the appropriate chemicals for your particular mould problem and condition.
Thanks for sharing.
I thought bleach and mold will just create more
Bleach and mold don’t mix
So what about other vids saying bleach isn't going to fix it, you need a fungicide????????????
White vinegar works well.
That mold looks really gross
Yes, It was pretty nasty. Now it's all gone!
It comes back on my window
Try using vinegar.
The seal between you 2 layers of window has failed. You will continue to get mold, unless you keep the air in your house VERY dry.
@@Toolmybass wait so the window has a slight slit in it allowing air to come in?
@@ItsMsAliciaNicoleeffectively yes, even if your window is double glazed, the seals between the two panes of glass can start to leak. You can tell this has started happening when you can see condensation inside the window, that won’t rub off from the indoor or outdoor side of the window. The Trick then is to work out whether it is cost effective to replace the windows, or to just get a portable dehumidifier for the condensation issue and take the hit on the loss of heat. I would buy one of those cheap hygrometer sensors with a built in thermometer on eBay and work it out, esp if you plan to live there for a decade or more Rambling over
Leave it at least 5 minutes to work and follow the video spray again after wipe off let that air dry
I know this sounds crazy... but I don't have bleach or clorox...
You can also use vinegar.
bleach is the worst thing for mold
I’m sure there are worse things.
