Lindgren's right cuff glove save was unbelievable, but the Caps had too much poor coverage most of the night leaving Lindgren out to dry too much! Caps had multiple chances to build on that 1-0 lead, but failed to do so and then had somewhat of a letdown with those 2 goals against in the last 5 mins of the period.

How the hell is Washington even in the hunt for a playoff berth? they have a -35 goal differential. Abysmal. They look old and slow, yet here we are.

I think they have one of the worst loss records in regard to blowout losses. When they win, they don't win by much(hence why they are a bottom 5 team in scoring goals), being in the top 5 in wins by 1 goal.

They have the capable goaltending to be good, but they need to figure out how to play team defense consistently.
The out worked the Caps tonight. Caps looked slow and lethargic. Come on boys, this is the playoffs for you.
The extra day off threw the Caps out of rhythm, which I have seen happen to plenty of other teams. Playing every other day keeps you in a rhythm, but playing on 2 days between games instead of 1 day between, gets ya out of rhythm a bit. Caps looked lethargic because they were standing and chasing the game too much. Caps made too many mistakes which you can't do against the Sabres who have too many weapons to capitalize on those mistakes.
