almost looks like a sunday drive to mall... when you forgot eggs :D
You buy eggs at the mall??
I tried the STO spec on the rear of my 991 carrera and I prefer them in almost every way to a cup 2. IMO aside from inital heat up they are better for track days than the cup 2 in all other ways.
what are you running up front to balance it out?
AMP is such a nice track
I have Potenzas on my TLX, man I love these things
Type S is the car the NSX2 should've been at launch
Exhilarating to watch per usual!
Nice video as always Tedward!
Thanks!
It looks so menacing in that color!
You're living the dream.
Oddly enough I just watched Jason Camisa’s vid of this car
3:46 the Si didn't want that 5 second penalty
😂
Great vid!
Nice NSX🔥🔥🔥
I love a good grocery getter! On the road for maaaaany years to come!
Well well, long time no see. Hope to catch up with all the content. Hope you've been well. My life has been pretty much up and down. Do let me know if I missed out on anything extra interesting. Keep going and wish you luck. 👍 🤩
need another type r therapy drive bro.. cheers..!!
Picking it up tomorrow! Have been driving the Wraith 🤤
@@TedwardDrives glad to know!! 😀
Wow that looks like a lot of fun! How did bridgestone manage to get so many Type S models anyway? Thought they were sold out a year ago.
The track looks very fun and so does the NSX, but I'm afraid it doesn't look like a $250k fun. These cars look great, they're not over the top, but the price is a killer. Can't deny that it looks phenomenal in yellow.
I think the MSRP is around $170k US.
@@TedwardDrives Oh ok, one that's for sale here in Poland is listed at $300k so I threw $250k as a ballpark figure for the US market. Now that markup is just crazy. 😂
Don't see a lot of these 🔥🔥
Tedward? Actually Leadward with that lead foot. /s
very intresting car to drive fromt he sound of it
Ted how would you compare this experience to the c8 Eray? As far as handling and performance ?
I feel like that says something about the car if it's not giving you confidence😬 Edit: You said towards the end the tires were getting greasy so, maybe just the tires?
Tires were fine and actually hung on longer than expected before getting greasy. Brakes on nsx are unsettling. They work every time but the application feels uncomfortable as it moves from regen into the pads. The peddle feels disconnected so you don’t get a tactile feel of what’s happening.
@TedwardDrives I never considered how regen would feel on a track. It's good to know that the future of supercars won't be boring!
Any classic car you would want to drive on a racetrack? It would be cool to see you drive a E30 M3 DTM or a 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II DTM racecar.
what does dtm stand for?
it basically means german touringcar masters in german@@geraldthegiraffe6963
@@geraldthegiraffe6963 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters aka German Touringcar Master
Ahí está el Gabo jaja
Legitimately curious, how do you get invited to an event like this? Is it possible for a layperson to be invited?
They invite media outlets who make content or write about the experience. Exactly like this video
Well that doesn’t make any sense. It’s not even a Honda event
Why didn't you paddle shift it and wring out the motor? I agree about the brakes tho, worst part of the new nsx..no feel... It's like on or off.
Because they were lead follow laps and I’m just allowed to follow the instructor. Plus there’s really no need to use paddle shifters. The transmission is smart enough and has plenty of torque. Would have been silly to use them here.
I have never seen this kind of nsx before, i usually see the 90s versions
yeah… the profile picture checks out 💀
Why not drive in Track mode?
If memory serves it got too stiff any the throttle resolution was harder to control with small movements and upset the car
I wouldn't even bother buying those tires. If you're going to a track day, just buy proper racing tires that can handle the forces on a track. It looks like those Potenzas will get chewed up quickly and probably will degrade probably faster than a race tire. Looks decent for enthusiastic road driving, but fairly pointless for a track day.
Of course you are going to say Potenza is good for NSX, why? because they are sponsoring the event
If only they offered the NSX with a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission with a proper gated shifter. Not only is shifting and using a clutch a ton of fun, it “connects” you to the car. It always looks bizarre seeing a sports car with buttons where the shift should be. True, these modern automatics are very fast, but are 2 second 0-60 mph times really necessary to enjoy driving a fast car fast? Give me a 1990’s Acura NSX with a stick on a sunny, deserted mountain road in California for maximum fun!
Agree. Although slower id much rather have an old NSX with the manual. An automatic hybrid turbo car doesnt het the blood going.
100% Honda missed an opportunity to make a simple, elegant mid-engine car. Instead we got a $200k Rube Goldberg machine with the soul of a refrigerator.
its the "new sports experience", not the 1999 sports experience. if the nsx was offered in multiple power levels like the 911, I could see it work, but for this supercar powertrain, the Dual clutch suits it better
Yeah, modern cars can suck it. Performance numbers mean absolutely nothing to me given the sacrifice of driver involvement & visceral rawness. Half (or possibly all) of the tech & engineering in modern performance cars is to hide/compensate for them all being bloated pigs along with provide 10,796 nannies so that rich idiots who have 0% driving skill don't instantly die.
hi :D'

race tires? So slicks? huh what? What are these tires? I am so confused.
They are called “potenza race”. That’s the name of the tire. Plus I explained that they are a cup 2 competitor and what they are for in the video. Should be no confusion.
@@TedwardDrives yeah you did after I wrote that lol.
second
potenza always have the worst tread life, like no tire can compare. sorry bridgestone.
