As a nurse I've used the vein viewer several times (in the hospital we call it the vein finder). I have mixed feelings about it. It sometimes helps to find the vein, but even when it does, it doesn't show how deep the vein is or where the needle is in proximity to the vein. It also essentially becomes useless if the patient's veins roll. Another problem with it is the light that it shines is obstructive to the needle. The way nurses know we're in the vein is when blood travels up the needle to the port that sits outside the skin, but we need to be able to see that blood, and the light from the vein finder is so bright and green, it's very hard to see that blood come through. Don't get me wrong, the vein finder helps sometimes, but many of us only use it as a last resort.
Thank you. I was wondering how well those actually worked. It also explains why some techs are great at drawing blood while others... need practice.
I was in the hospital in 2021, and they tried to use a vein finder on me. It did not go well. They had to stick me four or five times to actually hit a vein. It was kind of messy.
I’ve got great veins and never minded being a pin cushion for someone training, but I met one 2nd lieutenant who shouldn’t be allowed needles. 😂😂 That finder couldn’t help her. 😂
I have what a nurse once called "deep veins". During two hospitalizations in the last 12 years, and blood draws for Coumadin blood thinner, I have had experiences at both ends of the scale - some nurses are very good and I barely felt it, while others could not find the vein and wind up moving the needle INSIDE my flesh... OUCH! A couple times I had a "blow out", resulting in a huge ugly bruise. 😢
..Interesting to hear it from a real wourld experience... ..btw dont let a doctor near when thay say thay r just going to draw a little blood, leave it to the pros aka Nurses (dont think i ever been so bruised up as when a doc 'tried' to draw blood)
My son bought me an Ember mug and coaster as a birthday gift a couple years ago. I work from home, so I have it on my desk, and I use it almost every day. I had no idea it cost so much. But regardless of the price, it's one of my favorite things any of my kids has ever bought me, and since I would otherwise have to go reheat my tea 3-4 times before I drank it all, it's incredibly helpful, as well! It's wonderful, too, to have a son who's so good to his mama.
That's so sweet! I'm so glad for you!! Also, it's the first time I'm hearing someone actually talk about it really
Our local hospital's ER had one of the devices that detects the blood veins several years ago, but it was hand-held. Which I guess was an issue because someone walked off with it and they've not replaced it.
I always enjoy your videos, great job as always 👏

Best KZhead channel ever....
So true, its one of the best channel and barely ever gets boring
@@TheHeck17 Indeed
Thank you always love your shows would like the liquid full screen and sent it on shoes since I am blind so naturally they my favourite looking forward to your next show
Honestly, don’t care what place i got I’m just happy to be here
Really love the vein finder thing :3 we need that in *ALL* hospitals!!! The amount of times I've been jabbed because they can't find my veins is horrible.
I was jabbed 4 times yesterday in different areas and arms until she finally succeeded!
It doesn't work well. I was in the hospital 6 years ago, and after multiple tries, the nurse got the vein finder. The nurses still had a hard time and finally quit with the vein finder. On the other hand, the nurse at my regular doctor's office can stick me first time every time.
Didn't know about? You underestimate my KZhead hours spent Mr Amaze
Why does the narrator sound like a villain from jojo's bizarre adventures describing his stand
This is so specific I love it
😂 oh why do i have to see comments like this
If you see this have a nice day
You too!
You too bud
I liked my own comment
Thank you
Add time stamps, please👍
Nah

That AI camera is so pointless
True but at the same time it basically has the power to remove specific things
Exactly what I thought...
Also: That knee seat is a great idea but with my 30 years in the work force I can't bend my knees that much at all 😂 to get up wouldn't be much easier then by not using it and I stead just protecting my knees with regular protectors. But for anyone just starting to work it would be a great way to not get where I am in the first place. And those solar panels to recharge devices: With such small panels it will take years to fully charge. The has to be something fishy about what the developer says it can deliver. And the Glow in the dark TP? For sure better for the environment and more healthy then untreated TP...
I need the needle one. Nurses always have such a hard time finding mine.
Ditto, sadly.
It doesn't work well. I was in the hospital 6 years ago, and the nurses failed with the vein finder. They got rid of it and finally found a vein. I went home with bruises all over both arms. It was bad enough that I'd almost died before getting there.
BE AMAZED, Your videos always make me happy, so I subscribed!
I'm guessing the 30 second charge didn't get released due to the fact that they wouldn't have been able to solve the problem with expanding/exploding batteries before the year 2016. I'm still not fully convinced that the expanding battery problem has been solved, even if the higher end phones no longer allow you to remove the battery...
No, it hasn't. I've had two smartphones suffer overheated swollen batteries! I keep two phones in service, on different service providers. Having a backup phone has saved me several times. Being disabled, mobility-impaired and homebound, my phones are my only comms with the outside world.
that or its complete BS that violates the laws of physics, the only thing that company has made is a money extractor for foolish investors
yeah I really doubt that technology, I won't believe 30s
Ai's everywhere but it needs to be worked on pretty hard to be perfected
AI TTS has been a thing since at least the early 1980s, when I began working with computers. They haven't got it right yet. Some seem to have regressed. 😮
You can wrap yourself in glowing toilet paper to look like a green, eerily glowing mummy at night. Neat halloween costume.
I LOVE YOUR STUFF!!!!!! Please keep it coming. 🙏🤟
Just make sure they don't send increasingly powerful robots back in time to change the past and kill whoever can stop them.
What can I say I'm amazed as always ❤
11:34 bro stopped me before i asked the question 😂😂
We can become Toph from Avatar with the shoe attachments
lmao
Your videos always amaze me
18:04 look up the medical drone company in Rwanda (I forget the name) but they have a (in my opinion) better system on a much lower budget, there was also another delivery drone company here in the US (it might have been connected I’m not entirely sure.) but it uses heavy duty drones to carry smaller quieter drones that hold the actual package and the big drone hovers at a height that stops most of the sound from its props from reaching the ground making it mostly soundless, and then it basically mission impossible’s the droid (as it’s called) down to the delivery zone, drops the package gently off, then lifts the droid back up and leaves.
Coincidentally, I'm watching this video while my 3d printer prints a 1/24 scale model of my house next to me.
Nahh this videos are soo amazing.
another video to be amazed about
The veni X-Ray is a Godsend! I inherited a LOT of bodily likeness from my Grandma, including a stupid, hiding, venous system. 😓
If it actually worked. I was in the hospital, and the nurses couldn't find a vein and brought in the vein finder. They still couldn't find one. They got rid of the vein finder, and after a lot of tries, they finally got the IV in. I went home with bruises all over both arms.
@@bite-sizedshorts9635 THEY need to go back to medical school, pronto! You got to insert the syringe in shallow and use two tourniquets if need be to hold the vein steady like they do for me.
Blimey, a tonne of amazing things here 😮 The Foodini looks curious but as someone who was on Cat C pureed food only for seven years, texture within food is so crucial. I was going Insane for texture, there was no crunch or chew and those are actually part of the body recognising eating, I was absolutely starving hungry and so fed up with horrendous preformed gross meals, no matter how nutritionally rich they apparently were 😔 The loo roll capsules is a great idea severely let down by not being flushable which is deranged. We already have the sewerage systems jammed with wet wipes because people insist on flushing them too. Plus the capsules need to be in a vessel of water to expand, many a place where you would need them wouldn't have that facility in the first place 😕 The vein finder one seems fascinating, I have to have a lot of blood tests, this could be quite beneficial and could well lead the way for further applications within this field. Flippin great video, cheers me dears ❤
I like the look of the Ember mug. It would save me reheating my tea when I'm gaming.
I saw the invention in the thumbnail last year and it was really cool.
*Have* smartphones changed our lives for the better? I seriously doubt that.
I don't need or have one. I also don't need to start up an addiction. I watch people who can never put their phones down.
Oh my
It is nice to see a main stream channel cover inventions made for the blind. I'm a techie who has been blind cense birth, and would love some sensor shoes or a screen that could shape itself into buttons.
$3,500 for those Bluetooth sensors is a complete rip-off!
The vein finder! Can’t wait, I always have to be stuck more than a couple of times and in both arms so this sounds great
My worst experience was in the Navy, as my ship readied for overseas deployment in late 1982. The vaccines I'd gotten in my first enlistment had expired, so I needed the full battery - 10 of them! The Corpsman told me I could get half now and half later. I told him, "Do 'em all now, I won't be coming back!" So I got half in one arm, half in the other! My arms were so sore I could barely lift anything for a couple days. 🥺
I never thought I would be so early on a be amazed video...
Super Fast Cell: Not this guy- One plus pro 12 charges from 0-100% in 35 minutes : D Love it!
My grandfather has an Ember-like coaster that is literally just heats up the mug but, I have to remind myself that’s it’s not a wireless phone charger
Took three attempts last week for the nurse to find a vein, when I needed blood drawn for testing. She finally had to resort to the back of my right hand. I'm fortunate to have a high pain tolerance, so a needle prick is easily bearable without much effort, BUT that doesn't mean I particularly enjoy it.
8:00 I REALLY hope iPhone does this soon. I miss buttons while typing. Although I think some screen protectors can do this. I also want them to do a folding phone ASAP, so..
Folding phones used to be a thing!
I have actually seen the vein thing. Wicked cool! It even shows if your veins “roll”😮
Great Video
The toilet paper capsules come in my MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) and are quite strong. When microwave ovens first came out they were pretty expensive too.
Who doesn't love snake oil? I've got plenty to give away. Nice video. I'm subscribing. Share the love.
I just had surgery the other day and the nurse used the vein finder on me to get my iv in and it’s so cool to see in person
The innomake would also be perfect for a real-life Bird Box.
Can you do a military power series
Very interesting and very informative 👍 👌 👏
I actually had the infra-red vein scanner used when i had to get an iron infusion
Have you ever talked about the Nuclear Car that was one of the original Flying Cars, that used a personal Nuclear Power Plant? The reason as to why it didn't become popular is simple, nobody wanted to fly around in a mobile nuclear power plant, especially with how everyone already on the road currently drives.
Really like the video. But, like another poster, would appreciate time stamps to find items. In addition, links to sources would be really helpful! Still can't find the Green Lighting solar charger anywhere!! 😕
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻 The last one reminded me of the cartoon The Jetsons when they dump all the food in the machine. And it would make them dinner.
I still want the Space Family Robinson's clothes washer. Dump dirty clothes in, moments later they come out the other end cleaned, pressed and plastic wrapped! 😅
@@lancerevell5979 Absolutely, I am totally on board with that. It would be great to have my own Rossie.🤣🤣😂
The only problem with Ember is that it NEEDS to stay on the cup holder because the mugs and bottles release the heat hyper quickly. BUT it is Amazing to keep at your desk! No more microwaving your coffee when you just need a swig, haha.
2:05 Unfortunately I’ve been in the hospital a few times the last two or three years and have seen it in action - but it’s still INCREDIBLY cool.
22:50 Oh yeah I've heard about the brand "ember". I think there's one lying around my home, but I didn't actually know what it's purpose was until now.
The most leftover toothpaste I have is in the area around the cap, so Two Way Toothpaste doubles that, even though it halves the effort to get from back to front. You can eventually get to that stuff, but not the bit near the cap.
Just get some scissors and cut the top of the toothpaste tube off and cut down the sides and open the tube right out. Then store it all in a plastic bag so it doesn't dry out.
I love be amazed
Having a half hour phone charger would be AMAZING! Having car batteries that are super efficient? Sure, bring em on. I prefer the phone battery though
I’ve had that vein viewer used on me a few times. It’s really great. I am a very hard stick. It’s not just rolling veins, but I’ve been told that I have an insane amount of valves in my vascular system. Valves have to be avoided or they will be blown out by the needle. I’ve had nurses and phlebotomists have to stick me 10 or 15 times, blowing out many valves during the process, which is painful. Thankfully the valves repair themselves, but this Vein Viewer allows them to hit the vein every time. The problem is, they usually have to stick me 5 times before they decide to go get the machine. I guess when they become more common, there will be enough to go around. Anything that glows has some level of radiation. I don’t know if I’d want to wipe myself with anything radioactive over a long time. Could be problematic, but we wouldn’t know for a decade or two. I don’t want to be the first one with anal cancer when they find out that glowing toilet paper was the cause. I guess a good lawyer could get you a great settlement, but that wasn’t be worth it if you’re either dead or have an ostomy bag for life. Just buy a nightlight for your bathroom; problem solved.
12:26 I saw what you did there in the bottom left corner. Sneaky, but clever!
I love this channel
Those parking robots are awesome.
i love your videos, the only downside is that too many ads
As a healthcare professional, I've used a vein pro, but different branded name. Frankly it is of some help, but really does not substitute for competence. If you're really uncertain of your phlebotomy skills or need to do it with as few sticks as possible, you can do your venipunctures under ultrasound guidance it it's available. Also, it certainly will NOT take the place oof CT of Ultrasound for deep venous investigation.
My veins are hard to find. I’ve had them use this twice. It’s pretty cool BUT they find vines that are deep in muscles and it hurts really bad. One time they went through my bicep with a thick and long needle. I have a high pain tolerance and I almost cried.
Dude I was watching a be amazed vid
Am 0:00 surprised that people have already watched the video it's only been 18 minutes 😅
Finally early yay thank you for content!
Unfortunately there are tons of laws in different states that prohibit drones flying overhead for privacy reasons. Some even allow people to shoot them down if they fly overhead of your property
Also don't let Sawyer trick you into painting a fence for him LOL
Hello
Its stores and restaurants that toss most food.
Am I the only one who comes here for those crafty captions for each category? 😂😊
Like the 30 second phone charger, most of the products that never came to be is because they didn't work. It's impossible to charge a phone in 30 seconds! It would get so hot it would melt! A battery can only charge so fast!
Yeah, exactly. How they could even claim that is bonkers
The car valet is actually pretty smart
When you talk about yourself, it is like you are talking about ME! 🤝
A couple of days ago I was on United flight (4/2024) & was pleasantly surprised to find that ever seat has a USB port.
nurses in Birmingham Alabama already have eye glasses that find the veins in a patients arm. They dont need that huge robotic machine. Nurse used the glasses about 6 years ago, first time I ever seen them.
Had to come here just for the vein viewer. I had one used on me in the hospital several times because of several combined issues and those things are a miracle wonder to those of us who are so terrified of needles they pass out calm down a little bit. Kids find them so interesting that often times they forget they are about to get poked I was told by a nurse who used it on me. I'll never forget how it took 3 nurses and finally a doctor to get my IV needle in and 7 pokes it was pure horror and worse of all they took it out a few hrs later and released me!!!! I had been there over a week but still ugh. So many horror stories
the haptic buttons on phone and the 30sec charging seemd like the only really usefull stuff
i would say that last machine would be good for fancy garnishes on the plates tho
If you love coffee like me, just get the ember mug!
The first thing that came to my mind was Mistral when I saw the arm backpack.
Last time they had trouble getting an IV in me (as my veins both suck and roll) they used some kind of ultrasound thing to get it first try. And it lasted longer too.
I like the ember cup....that's what I really need right now in the office
I still miss the little spinning man saying 'Amazing' .... from your vids a few years ago
The vein finder doesn't work nearly as well as it's portrayed here. Honestly it only really works in situations in which you don't need it to.
Senator Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Maxor Metal Gear Rising) : "Nanomachines, son."
When I saw the Vein Finder 'Vision 2', as someone who invariably comes out of hospital looking like a collander due to the interplay of bad veins and medical egos, I was initially delighted. A quick scan of the comments seems to show, however, that it's real use seems to be more one of "Well, we've tried everything else - wheel in the wotchimcallit; has to beat dragging in some kid off the street to have a 'stab' at the problem!" Until they've perfected the technology, I suspect that it will be better used 'in the negative', so to speak; something like the gadget they used in theatre when they were trying to put a 'Picc' - line into my arm/chest that was able to tell them they'd taken a 'wrong turn'. As for the food printer thing - perfect example of something invented by the kind of boffins who dream up the (admittedly genius) technology before actually asking the question of "What use will it be to anyone?"!! The only organization I could picture taking even the most ephemeral interest in a gadget designed for reconstituting the sort of scraps that would normally be kept for the dog, or the compost bin, might be the US prison system for the manufacture of 'The Loaf' (aka 'Nutraloaf'), the punitive (but benevolent sounding) concoction of kitchen waste and canteen leftovers given to 'difficult' inmates, usually in solitary. The fact though, that it costs thousands of bucks per unit would tend to rule it out for purchase by organizations that begrudge the spending of more than a dollar or two per head, per day, on feeding the people in their charge..! Finally, in the "Great idea - but I can see Problems" category - the drone delivery system. Never mind that it is envisioned for use making life saving deliveries of blood or organs, given that there are people that think blinding the pilots of passenger aircraft [EDIT: with lasers] is great sport, are we really to imagine that these things won't replace ducks, geese, etc. as game in those countries (you know who you are!) that are armed to the teeth, especially over built~up areas?!
One of the first!
The vein finder is what I need because I have crap veins. They're deep, small, they collapse and they move. At the hospital they often have to use the ultrasound to find my veins. Now if vein finder would come in a portable version that would be great. 🤔
2:20 they currently also use ultrasound.
5:34 there are also things called "moonwalkers" the do practically the same thing but war way different (and better in my opinion)
That "solar powered" charger is all well and good until it's CLOUDY
Are travelators the same as escalators?
Escalators have steps while travelators are smooth
@@piotra.2304yes, travelators are little more than LONG ASS conveyer belts that people stand on, found in train depots and aeroports.
I just got this vid from my notifications and this vid was 6 days ago
Evil Donna always comes back
The food printer is cool. If they ever make it commercially available, it will be one step closer to the world of 2060 in my favorite book series. Of course, in that universe "all" of the food is replicated...unless you are uber rich, who can afford the real food. As long as it tastes good, I wouldn't care if it was replicated.
NASA is developing 3D Food Printing for space use. Can Star Trek's Food Replicator be far behind? 😎👍
