The settings they added for tuning the steering response are great as well. You can tune how strong the steering filter is without completely removing it. For me those were enough to make the driving a lot more consistent and enjoyable.
Wild Steering, Direct Off but 75% sensetivity, is about all I needed, feels 10x better/responsive!
I hated it at first but now I'm getting it. BUT I don't like the way all my cars drive now. Sooooo I wish people would have just shut-up
IMHO people had to pro-setting cars to compensate for the filtering, now we can actually have proper steering, and then pro-setting, or actually use stock settings, rather.

They don't want to make it straight cops and robbers because it adds questions about the morality of the world. That's why in TC2, they made it movie themed. The latest update was featuring movies again so hopefully a cop themed movie season comes eventually
It was more of a solution for people upset about wheel users having a massive advantage than it is anything about cheating.
You could emulate wheel input on a controller, using 3rd party software

Ista a che feature. It helped me get better time on the Summit and actually “feeling” more precise on turns and getting the gutter right. Also the adjustment of the sensitivity of the steering is damn good. So far I really enjoy it.
Direct is insane.. But it did inspire me to turn up the Steering sensitivity and such up to 90, maybe eventually go to direct.

I’ve always had a Problem with the steering on the crew games because it just always feels like you can never turn as quickly as you want so direct steering seems like a good idea for people that want more responsiveness

I don't use Direct Input because I'd rather improve my skills with a difficult handling model than make things simple. Yes, it's an arcade game but if something is supposed to be hard, I'd rather just get better at it so that it becomes just as easy as the alternative.
Theo can you ask about full crossplay outside of just the grand race?
The crew 2 did suffer greatly on this kind of issue but still... Greater drivers / players still come in to play but rather the time difference using this kind of method differentiates almost 20 seconds to 30 than the players who play with vanilla handling. (Other one was the almost clutchless transmission setup for controller.)
Would love to see someone drive direct steering (wheel mode in TC1) on motorbike because you should already be rolling the stick because of leaning. Had issues with the controller filters on motorbikes on TC2 and cant play TCM yet

I mainly use my wheel on motorfest so i dont mess with the controller stuff. the wheel feels super good for it being an arcadey racing game
Yeah, I thought the same thing the first time I used my wheel on Motorfest. Even though it's an arcade game, it feels confortable and responsive, unlike TC2 where it felt awfull and sluggish.

I really liked this change, it fixed my issue with Motorfest's driving physics, the cars felt slugish and slow at turning, now this is instant reactiong on yout thumb & dualshock stick, i really love it and im getting used to it with some cars, but i mastered it in most
I don't use the direct mode but the extra sliders they added for tuning the steering filters were also great. Tweaking those has made the game so much more enjoyable to drive.
@@namesii1880 yeah that too, they are great if you want to get a more sensitive reaction but without making that full change to Direct Mode, its a very good change so people can adjust their driving style and drive confortably without ruining the overall drivinf physics of the game for the ones who enjoy them

It looks like as if you're using WASD in PC without filters To me, it kinda helps so you'd have better turn response in fast times. It just that now you need to "filter" the turning radius yourself

IDK man, this game is such a mixed bag of experiences. The crew peaked at crew 2 for me, it was a good experience, felt it was more rewarding in terms of gameplay. But I’m gonna miss the og crew. I recently finished it on playstation and I forgot how good it was. Gonna miss it. RIP😢

Its not cheating if eveyone has access to it, its cheating if it involves external methods.
With the introduction of Gymkhana and dirty driving they could do some very cool PvP or group modes, using timers to say score 10000 points in a race or smash 1000 objects. Currently the demo royale can be a pain to fill it's bracket, and your left with Summit (sweat heaven and yes probably my skill issue) or standard races for 179th time. I think Motorfest has huge potential but it's squandered

Turning off crossplay took ages to find a match so it was not a viable strat

because we have the cop cars from the crew 2 it would be pretty cool to have brand new chase events and even chase PvP and with the demolition Royale I think maybe because you have the monster truck power ups they should make a mode where it's like 3 monster trucks against six demolition cars and the demolition cars have to survive as long as possible and if one person is left on the demolition cars team then everyone on that team wins
So, basically everything NFS hot pursuit and the arena wars in GTA Online already provides then. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, but it's not anything new.

This is similar to ppl who play CSGO or CS2 now with unbelieveably insane high sesitivity which seems stupid and counterintuitive because oyu have so so little fine tune precision BUT you sacrifice that for the ability to 360 degree turn with a flick of a mouse instead of 45 mousepads worth of mouse movements,same for this "cheat" in this game. You have less precision so it's finicky to keep under control but you can steer quicker which means you can afford to break later than normal because you no longer need as much time to steer and adjust and when it comes to actual good players vs tryhards them couple miliseconds make a difference. So basically this "cheat" turns a sim-cade more arcade-ish race game into straight up Asphalt 9 =))))))) That being said who the hell has such little of an actual life to tryhard in videogames? Like who sacrifices actual personal enjoyment from playing a game which is the whole purpose of the game existing just to win in a virtual thing. . . . .a win that means nothing to no1 and is never worth sacrificing actual enjoyment XD
