You need to be physically flying to play more than 4 hours in two days after 7 months out. Muchova is still a top player max respect. I'm so glad she's back.
I was just thinking, did people just forget what this girl is capable of doing?
Too much court time and not enough in the tank and then got scared to face Osaka🤷
Yes she's back!! The most underrated player on tour right now. So happy she's finally healthy. Let's go climbing back to the top 20 where you belong champ. 💪
yap, i was disappointed when she lost a close match in AO 21 against brady
@@francischo8891 that was an awesome match
ah; didn't realize that she was injured...was wondering why she was gone for so long
@@dctrbrass maybe she has a chance against osaka if she won
I always look forward to watching Muchova play and she didn't disappoint at all
Despite losing I think Leylah enjoyed this match because it was different and more skillful tennis, Karolina Muchova will never disappoint you if you like this kind of tennis. Remember Karolina beat the world number one Ash Barty in the Australian Open two years ago so she is a quality player. I hope Karolina will do well, she was missing for a long time with injury, she is a great player.
Muchová is one of my favorites… so talented, like she never left!
Too bad she was injured for too long. She easily can become a top 5 player.
Not a bad loss for Leylah. Muchova is super talented and has all the skills to win. Glad she's back.
Mind blowing performance by Muchova!!!! Muchova completely outplayed Leylah!!! It was complete fun to watch the game. Leylah kept trying everything on her side but for some reason but it wasn’t working out for her since Muchova was playing fantastic!!! Many congratulations to Muchova on this win!!! She sincerely deserve that!!! All the very best for the future games!!!
It was a squeaker she did not completely out play her, look at the score.,
Layla will be out of top 40 by yrs end
@@ynot7119 you are such an expert aren't you
Muchova changed Leyla’s game pace, from fast hitting balls to gliding slices.
What a play from Muchova, I hope she's going far on this tournament, she has so much variety in her shots
Muchovas style looks very balanced and elegant. Love watching her play
YES!
Muchova is a special one !! Such a joy to watch . Future number one if she can stay healthy.
two all around players. that's so great for wta!!! muchova is a joy to watch, pure talent. and leylah, she's will become so good that I can't wait. so much variety on her game.
Love Muchova's all-court game. She reminds me a bit of Novotna in the way she can neutralise power with court craft, but she also has some power of her own. Great hands...she should be in the top five, no doubt
Interesting, she actually reminds me more of Mauresmo. Strong forehand, super athletic, creative, and has a great backhand slice. Either way I’m so glad she’s back from injury and is back on the tour.
Boths ... + Mandlikova
Whenever MuchoVa wins and smiles, my smile returns to my face. Infectious entertainment of all-court tennis. Vamos.
Muchova's a top 10 player. Last year she beat Barty, Badosa, Osaka and Sakkari. Injuries are the only thing stopping her. Fernandez will live to fight another day, she actually played pretty well, and had many breakpoint chances she couldn't convert against Muchova's cluch moments.
And she beat wounded Venus not Serena Williams.... Venus fan
Congrats to Muchova. Love Fernandez’s sportsmanship at the net.
A slap to the face of all the haters who say that she shows no sportsmanship.
She was whining when Emma hurt herself! Gives me the cringe!
It's just so so nice to see Muchova back.
Even though Muchová has been away from competing on the tour all these months, it's safe to say that she has continued to focus on improving her craft and style of play. She might be the best all-arounder on tour now.
Agree! Her court craft and variety is just sublime, her volleys are classic and her on the run forehand is something else!!
Her and jabeur are the queens of craft *-*
If muchova remains injury free, future top 5 along with anisimova. WTA Highlight vids so much better without slomo replays.
Love muchovas athleticism and ball chasing tenacity! It raises the bar for women's tennis for sure
Karolina is such a great athlete. She really moves well, and gets to some shots that a lot of other players simply wouldnt even attempt to chase down. Impressive.
Amazing net play and read of LF. Well done.
Excellent match, the get by Karolina down 2-3 in the 2nd was pretty impressive. Compliments to both ladies.
Dear Mr. commentator: You know Czechoslovakia hasn't been a thing for nearly 30 years, right?
Muchova is a rare breed in modern women's tennis, she feels like a complete player & has all the tools you can dream of. Missed her a lot and almost forgot about her for a minute. Really unlucky with the draw tho as she faces Osaka next. Leylah was in form coming into this match but was left searching for answers.
I was pretty sure Much ova would win this, but Fernando who has improved, made her work for it. Nice match.
I was worried about her as she was away for a long time due to injury.
Love watching the variety of Muchova's game! Good luck to her!!!!
I thought this was a competitive match separated by one break in the 1st set, and few mini breaks in the 2nd. Muchova plays a complete game and will do well as long as her fitness holds up. She was getting tired but had enough to get through. Hopefully Fernandez is not deflated by this loss. She played pretty well and needs these learning experiences to adapt her game.
Rocking the purple! Don’t see that too often on the tour.
3:55 Muchova is from the Czech Republic, not Czechoslovakia :)
Players know how to play Fernandez now. The same with Raducanu. They know their patterns and it will be harder for them to win.
@@oatsgoats39 yes but she made it to the US OPEN final. That put a target on her back. Now players really want to beat her.
Muchova plays amazingly. Not many have been able to break Fernandez lately.
@ho ber are you mad ?? 😡😡😡
Read thru all the negative comments about Leylah ,calling her a bad person a whiner etc.. like wtf ppl it has nothing to do with this match highlights, wake up already this is tennis sport you win some and lose some. Presumptuous comments doesn’t help at all. Get a life ppl
She's not a bad person at all. It's just a narrative created by some people who can't stand her or should I say hate her. Her friendly exchange at the net with Muchova says otherwise. Not a single player on the tour has anything bad to say about her.
Great game. Outstanding performance from both ladies.
Great job Muchova. ♥️🌞
Great to see Karolina back, the most talented player in the WTA currently. Watch her do great things in the slams if fully fit. Osaka next and I predict she will turn her over like she did in Madrid last year !
so happy for karolina 🤗
Some beautiful play here from Muchova stunning 😊
Love Leylah's uniform. Good luck next time Leylah.
So True!
BRILLIANT coverage WTA!!
Bravo muchova👏👏👏 le retour !!!!
Exceptional game to watch. Both players did really well.
Muchova is the craftiness player on tour, both are my favorite players. This was a beautiful tennis 😍😍
Muchova played a superb game and simply outplayed Fernandez. Had this game gone to a third set, Leylah may have had a chance as Muchova looked exhausted.
Muchova always looks exhausted! That doesn't necessarily mean she's about to give up! She's really a superb player... one of the very best forehands on WTA, very Atp style, heavy serve, heavy two handed backhand (also ATP style) and very good slice backhand. And all the skills needing to mix it up. Unfortunately she's pretty prone to injuries, which are always stopping her.
Welcome back Muchova! You've been gone too long. Your game is fascinating to watch. Stay healthy!
From Méxio: Muchova: So beautiful your gameplay: stick to disciplne & technique: it works and will take you to any result you envision.Stay healthy!
I like muchova, glad to see her back and winning!
Muchova looks like she’s lost weight, but on fire 🔥 also it’s Czech Republic not CzechoSlovakia we are in 2022 not 1922
maybe he is in 1992
Go Karolina~! So happy to see the joy back in your game.
Hello Leylah, u played well but u tend to play along karolinàs kind of game. u have ur own game drop shots, parallels etc to exhaust opponent's stamina. We always love u Leylah ❤❤ just play & enjoy and winning would just be there.
Muchova sta arrivando molto forte , gioca bene davvero , in Indian Wells ha fatto un partitone con Rybakina ; gioca un bellissimo tennis
Very nice outfit leyla👍it’s a different level👍
Loving women's tennis these days. So many different styles of play
Awesome match ❤️
Muchova: brilliant and intelligent!! Leylah had no answer.
Beautiful tennis
As one classy Lady departs the tennis scene sadly 😥 for good...another has returned! Well played Karolina Muchova...pure class, could watch her all day long!
Was thinking the exact same thing.
100% atleast we can root for Muchova now that Barty is gone
Great match!
Was wondering where Muchova has been. She has a really mature style of play, and is often too "game" for most of her opponents. Gg
She has been out for 7 months because of injury. But she is a top notch player, she was ranked in the top 20 when she go an abdominal injury.
@@teoc8124 I said i "was wondering" lol I know and I know her career highlights ect, really enjoy her style of play.
Another positive lose for Leylah ..Get all the experience you can get..Its going to solidify your game in the long run..Stay focus amd positive...
@ho ber (laffing)
@ho ber you are such a fool - Why don't you write to the WTA if you don't agree with Masters 1000 tournament rules - I'm pretty sure you don't even have a clue what is the actual rule
Beautiful game.
Yes there is a fine line between losing and winning you play your best Leylah, better luck nxt time keep goin. God bless🎾🙏
Leylah lost, but kudos to both! Extremely high quality tennis with high amounts of winners and low unforced errors from both. It was all about winning the important points, and that’s where Muchova won!
Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!well done muchova!!
I wonder where she's been, she had good runs on some tournaments, then she disappeared! She's one of those always steady playing chics, hope she makes it to the end😉😍
She had an injury l think.
Abdominal muscle rupture that got inflamed lately in the process of healing plus some back issues. She's dealing with this since AO 2021.
Leylah still has room for improvement, especially on the volley. in everything else with time and physical improvement she will level up, technically I like her a lot but she needs one more step to face matches against strong players and be the one who dominates. well played by Muchova.
Indeed Leylah net’s game is terrible as well as her general play when she’s put out of her basics. Time to gain from experience and gear up from her regular scholar baseline play i guess for more shot variety. Well done from Muchova, she found the right mix of improvisation and tactics to put her opponent off tempo.
@@iansmirna5183 Leylah has a very good hand as a left foot , she opens very good angles and when the game varies she drives her rivals crazy . All this is experience, I trust that she will continue to improve. I hope she works a lot on the volley because it is what annoys her approaches to the net.
Women tennis is flooded with so many good players. This is what parity is.
Not so much. A lot of average flat ball bashers with no other option than bashing flat balls. Muchova is one of the absolute best tennis players on the tour. Very high quality tennis from her, but there are not many other players like her on WTA Tour.
Many top 20 players have fallen already, goodness. Hopefully, as I always say, my baby girl Leylay will do very well one year and more.
Entertaining play by Karolina Muchova. This is her first match I've seen this year.
This was her 2nd match after recovering from injury.
She is a darling.. welcome back miss maam..
OK OK Karolina, what a beautiful tennis game.....so clean.
Muchova ❤❤❤
love them both but muchova just has more flair. great match!
Great comeback by KM
Good play muchova, she is similar steffi graf🥰🥰
I love her!!! Oh my God! ❤
Leylah keeps having to fight from a set and a break down. She needs to figure out a strategy earlier because by then it’s too late and she has very little margin for error
That`s soooo true !
She takes a while to warm up
Agree. she needs to get stronger. Unfortunately, now the other players know her game and can take advantage of it. Needs to mix it up a lot if she wants to win the big tittles.
Assisti esse jogo aqui no Brasil.
Glad to see Leylah and her noisy fitness coach leave a big tournament again so early in 2022. Muchova is the one with the game, the charms and the talent.
Well said. Thank You. Leylah is not as good as she thinks she is.
😃😁😃😁
Well, I bet you and verdugo never won anything in life with your disgusting attitude. 🤷🏻♀️
@@501man9 i wonder why you hate Leylah so much. I'm sure she doesn't even know you.
@@merlita8707 I do not "hate" anyone. The word "hate" is coming from your evil mouth. I was once a fan of hers but not anymore. I love and respect players in any sport that show good "sportsmanship" whether they win or lose. Like Emma Radancu, like Ashley Barty, like Paula Badosa.
Leylah didn’t capitalize on her handful of service breaks, and she didn’t do enough with her net volleys to evade Muchova. Props to Muchova for making some great gets and shots. Also 1st serve was better and more consistent. Ps: found the commentators annoying on this match, especially the guy. Cringy at times the way he just waxed on and on. Plus they kept calling Leylah’s fitness coach her Dad every time the camera panned to him.
She wasn’t allowed to capitalize. She needs to get stronger because of her height. Then she will have a chance with top players.they know her game now. At the US Open. She was able to capitalized because they didn’t know her game she was basically unknown. Now they all know her game. To get stronger and mixing it up way more will make the trick; otherwise, she won’t win big tittles.
Muchova is such a talent! Injuries made us miss seeing this
This should've been the final... quality of tennis was too high... What a match...
Молодец.чешкы самые лучшие тенинистки мира бравоб
Both Emma and Leylah lost to amazing Czech players, positive losses though
Muchova has a very complete game and no shame on Fernandez's part to lose this match - just not able to convert key break points due to Muchova's brilliance. Really timely for Muchova to start working her way back into the top 10, to replace some non-performing top 10 players like Pliskova.
Would love to see her in the top 10.
Какая веселая и забавная игра получилась! Мухова красотка!
Both of these players are refreshingly feisty when it comes to saving points. Most other players on tour typically just give away points they don't want to "waste" energy chasing. Ultimately, Muchova's shot selection gave her the edge in this match, likely from having more experience. The winner here faces Osaka, right? Interesting either way, as they both recently won their matchups against her, and I believe this might be the first time Naomi gets a rematch against any of the players she lost to since her last GS (correct me if I'm wrong!) I'd argue the next match would be her biggest challenge yet.
Muchova vs Osaka gonna be must-see match in the next round. Muchova always a tough matchup for Osaka.
@@6ixdegrees15 This didn't age well :( oh well, seems she's played Collins a few times before, so quarters will be interesting.
CRAFT !! SHEER CRAFT !!
Fernández y Raducanu están pagando el precio de las espectativas creadas a raíz del Open Usa.Las dos tienen mucho talento y resurgirá en cualquier momento.
Muchova and Coric. They are back to shake things up!
Muchova has a much more entertaining game style than Coric lol
i am still asking why video quality is not as good as tennis TV for example ?
To the commentator: Czechislovakia does not exist anymore:)
one of the longest 2 sets in WTA
Pardon me, "from Czechoslovakia" wtf? Guy need to update his database
Impressive game by Muchova.you have strategic game which Fernandez doesn't have.congrats
All these people who are rightly posting encouraging and positive comments about both these fantastic players are the same people who constantly criticise and bully Raducanu for not winning every match she plays in. I never knew tennis fans were so hypocritical, shallow, spiteful and jealous. Very sad.
I watched this match in person the other day. Leylah needs to improve her serve! Serving at 77 mph-82 mph ain’t gonna cut it if she wants to be a consistent top 10 player and win major slams. She’s also barely at 50-55% accuracy on her first serve so her opponents are feasting on her 2nd serve. That puts way too much pressure on her to hold her serve.
Can't wait for Muchova's comeback in big 20 again.
Good game muchova 😄😄
Finally a decent looking outfit for Fernandez lmao
