Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms - LIVE Wembley 1988

    • If you confine yourself to today's charting songs, you miss the good stuff that didn't chart. Just like this song only got to 16 in the UK and didn't chart at all in the US. I love the artistry and emotion and talent of this song, but there are a lot of great young artists out there even today. You just have to look for it.

I love rock guitar greats like Steve Vai, Satriani, Hendrix, Page, Slash, George Lynch, John Sykes, Gary Moore etc. Watch a genius at work my friends. It doesn't need 1000 notes a second, just the right notes in the rights places. Not only that a talent to write great lyrics and the emotion/soul required to pull off such a song. I recommend Gary Moore's Parisienne walkway next.

Is the first time, other than, everyone that tells my husband, " ( a Vietnam Era tank commander), Thank you for your sevice", and seeing every time another veteran and my husband shake hands and have a few words, even when they don't know each other. Now I understand, they are brothers in arms. Thank you, Mark for this emotional song.
