Frostpunk 2 is the sequel to the genre-defining survival citybuilder Frostpunk, and I'm really excited to dive in to the Beta to show off gameplay of the Utopia Builder mode that's coming when the game launches later this year. In this mini-series, we're going to learn how to play Frostpunk 2 together, embracing our mistakes as we explore gameplay options, and engage with a completely different type of gameplay compared to the first Frostpunk.

Please please please do another playthrough after this one! I’m so excited for this game!!!
I would definitely be interested in seeing another playthrough, particularly given some of the learning that has happened throughout this playthrough. Might be fun to try favouring different factions as well, see how that effects the events that pop up and the like.
12:05 Even in the dystopian future, there are hippies and squares! 🤣Well, it brought back "Dutiful Youth" again! (Mom [not "mum,"] *and* bollocks? I'm betting this game was produced in Canada!) 23:30 you have to look it up in your research section. 25:50 you said you were going to later. Well now at this point you did! 29:05 when did "survival of the fittest" I mean "Apex workers" ever cause any problems in human history? 😁48:50 Sadly indeed that is what the "get it later" option was for. RIP cargo😢 but you survived the whiteout! Realize you are currently playing Manor Lords/This game is in early testing, but do play this again in the future! 1:00:20 As for that and the last Q I vote new session!
New run! 😊
the beta has two endings and when you get one of those endings it stops so you should save more often
Yessss do another run one after this!
You didnt resolve the mats situation early enough imo (and hint iron mine just beside your food district and logistics station was a much better choice with 3 millions and some mats, versus the like 500K provided by the dead wood).
17:03 there still value for distrik doesnt produce anything, you can use the distrik building slot for depot
About the question at the end of the video: I'd like a new run, yes
Gotta say, I didn't expect this playthrough to go in this political direction. You've changed, PE. 😂 But thank you so much for this preview. The political systems of this game are amazing
I mean it's just me but generator upgrade seems like something important to research right now and I assume going for something on the Logistics bay idea would take us a nudge on that direction. Just a guess, but I think that will help with the heat problem...
Iirc, that one isn't available in the preview unfortunately
@@PartyElite Oh ok sorry about it
@@PartyElite At the time of these videos, they were not. Hopefully for your continued/new run they will release!
Also, is there a reason why you don't demolish that deactivated resources district? I think you should open the room for something else, that is taking space and providing nothing... Also, I suspect if you had ndismantled it and used the money you get back you could use it to keep oine of the promises you broke...
Because it's expanded, it should be providing extra heat right now due to our policies
@@PartyElite I mean, just spitballing here but the policy is the one where you use the heat from the machines to heat the houses right? But that assumes the machines are working, and thus providing heat right? IDK maybe the sistem doesn't think like that but maybe check if it's actually giving you the heat it should be because I suspect it isn't since it's not working...
I hope it comes out on PS5
Oh wait it will!
@@NB-yu4ljIt will be released this year, possibly on New Year's Day, or a few weeks after its complete release, or the first day
What are the things developers should remove and fix in Frostpunk 2?
23:35 I understand the idea of putting pressure on the player by locking them into the screen, but alot of that impact is lost by not allowing players to do practical research on what they're supposed to be making decision about. They should be able to delay these decisions or look up the proposals they are being asked to make choices on. Being forced into blind decisions is kinda bullshit, ngl.
Lots of people seem positive. But i really struggled with the beta. It doesn't feel engaging. I hope the story fixes things. I really hate the frost breakers.
