Stephen Johnson is the father of five kids (three from birth and two he adopted). One day, paramedic Mary Seymour was shot, so Stephen and five other firefighters had to save her. As a result for saving her life, Mary nominated him for the makeover. Not only is he a firefighter, but he has two other jobs to work with as well. The children describe him as "a hero, excellence, awesome, inspiring, and loving."

I've never cried over something home makeover..I can feel the genuineness and kindness over Steven and his family, the kids were raised by a good father and you can see that the way they talk and act..This man deserve everything good in this world. He's a hero in and out.

He deserved all this because he had a golden heart,not just saving the woman but he adopted also the friends of his son and considered his own son,he saved these 2kids from separating from each other and who knows the 2boys will end up on the street doing horrible things if he didn't adopt them. I just pray this big family will live a healthy relationship and help each other. 🥰

The eldest moved out and finished university and then made a family, Steven adopted the elder brother of the two boys he previously took in and unfortunately they lost G’na to cancer in 2014. She was 22 😢

I was watching too much family court lately where theres a lot of dads who make babies all over the place and dont do anything for them. this has restored my faith in humanity. What an amazing dad! he talks about how much he loved his own dad and step dad and now the legacy will be his own kids will probably be great parents too.

On a side note: Would you consider lowering the volume of the background music, or eliminating it altogether. It is hard for those of us who have hearing problems to be able to discern the conversation from the music.

The way those boys bounced out the door....much taller than I'd expected....all in white t shirts... They, and the way the front garden looks, reminded me of Jim Carrey's "sons" in Me, Myself and Irene! 🤣 I pictured the dad on the sofa squished in the middle of his kids! "Love you Daddy" 😂 They'll be bigger than him in no time. This is what family looks like. Don't matter who's in it, they're in it together. As long as there's love, that all kids need. And now Dad has a ton of love from everyone who helped, to reward him for his kindness and generosity. Sweet! So heartwarming! ☺️☺️☺️

Wow you guys are so oweaome. The single fatherr deserve a good home for his five children. He adopted two children that lost their mother without thinking about the responsibility that come with. Such a nice man and dad. But thanks to this group for doing such a great job not just building a house but sending the family for vocation. This is the way our world should be looked like, caring for each other not hating.
