  • 18 novembre 2015, 4 jours après l'horreur. J'avais besoin de beau, et même si Je l'aie souvent écoutée avec bonheur, jamais cette chanson ne m'a autant ému que ce soir! Immense merci au génial créateur et aux courageux interprètes de ce chef d'œuvre qui exige tant de talent pour sonner juste.

  • I had no idea this moment ever existed - my mind is blown. My parents who have passed on - Jacques Brel was one of my Mother's favorites, My Father loved Neal Diamond's version of this song and 'The Idiot' is one of my favorite albums . Thank you. Merci.

    • @@musashimiyamoto586 I don' think he failed at all; I thought this was an amazing, emotional rendition of a very difficult song, and Iggy did great if even I could understand it (I am Polish-born American who just studied French). What the man meant above in his comment was probably that he loved "Iggy French accent," and I agree. I've heard countless versions of this song in different languages in the many years it has been very dear to me, both live and in the recording, and this is one of my favorites.

    • @@musashimiyamoto586 If inability to deliver a consonant each time "perfectly" should ruin the totality of the work, whoever feels this perfect robs themselves of many aesthetic experiences. The only thing that stood out to me was the "dog," but I would not let that get in the way of witnessing one of the most heartfelt, raw-as-in-real renditions of this song. Brel looks down and weeps the pearls.

    • Certes. Et c'est souvent quand on les prend à l'opposé de leur zone de confort que les artistes deviennent sublimes, comme Iggy ici, ou encore Coluche dans Tchao Pantin. L'Iguane est tellement déjanté que le retrouver dans un morceau 100% émotion, ben ça met une claque.

  • C'est juste une tuerie !! Ils ont tous deux su préserver toute la beauté, l'intensité et la magie de cette chanson de BREL ; Brel qui restera à jamais une légende de la chanson française à travers le monde . Ce duo improbable est une bien délicieuse preuve de ce que je dis :)

  • Très joli duo. Moi j'adore Iggy quand il chante avec des jolies femmes. Il devient tout tendre, un gentleman très délicat... tout en finesse et en émotion... Superbe Iggy. Et Ayo aussi, j'aime beaucoup. Une très jolie chanteuse, une voix très émouvante, et un discours très touchant. Quand elle parle de la liberté que donne le simple fait d'avoir un passeport en règle, j'en ai les larmes aux yeux...
