THAT'S ALMOST LAAAHNG BEACH MAYN!!!
I Know right lol its so fucking hilarious lol
Continue driving until you can't take it anymore...🤭
@SuiGen3ris - yaasssssss
That's such a traffic jam. You might as well take Lincoln to the car wash, make a left on Venice until you get to the Fatburger, then take the 405 down to La Cienenga, and then make a right before the Carl's Jr.
As someone who lives in Los Angeles, I won't stand for these outrageous lies that these sketches are perpetuating: Griffith Park and the 5 are nowhere near the beach. You have to take the 10 all the way to west LA, past the 405 to get to the beaches. If you follow their directions, you're going to end up in Glendale, and they're all going to be wondering "whuuuuuuuyoudoin'ere?"
Based on your name, I’m pretty sure that you’re 21 Jump Streeting with your partner John Nottacop.
I've seen your comments on 2 snl sketches today lol
😆👍
If you take the 5 far enough south, you will eventually hit the beach, but you’ll be in Orange County, past Long Beach.
born in san diego-BEST COMMENT EEEVVVUUUUUUHHHHHRRR!!!!
I always thought this sketch was ridiculous until I visited LA for the first time. This is accurate.
I just had a conversation with a friend about whether to take the 101 to his place or the 170 to the 5 to the 118 and had a debate on whether the traffic on the 101 was bad enough during that time of the day to justify the 7 miles extra of the latter route. Yeah... traffic and routes are a common discussion here.
You didn’t meet any native LA people 😂

yest it is and, yes it is🙃
@@thomassmart4088 i saw your comment just as she said that!
"Get on the 405 until you can't take it anymore." Now that's just cold blooded.
Bill Hader desperately trying not to laugh is pure gold.
Fred said "What are you doin here" with a normal voice during reads and rehearsal. When it came to do the actual sketch he delivers "Whadrruuuuuduinhere" in that way for the first time " Hader did not know and could barely hold it.

As a native born and raised Californian (Los Angeles), these skits just kill me. I wonder how folks who are not aware of CA view these skits. For us, they are pure GOLD and so accurate.
Does it ever get tiring talking directions so much?
I’m in Maryland so I can’t talk about the accuracy of direction giving, but definitely love these skits. Reading other Californian comments sounds like the directions is very accurate.

Norm Ellison I don’t think people watch snl skits because of their accuracy
@@fatimacabrera8659 Humor should be based on certain amount of truth . Thing is as a California native third generation I am sick of stereotypes that mostly exist in the minds of outsiders.
Norm Ellison a lot of humor is exaggerated and that’s why people find it funny. But I’m no one to say what all humor has to be.
Bill and Kristin trying not to laugh in the first part has me in stitches 😂
Christina Applegate is such a pro. She nails the character and accent like no other guest host and doesn't break character.
Lmfao yea she is I love when she did the skit with Chris Farley and David spade😂
@@just2vicious466 Farley broke everybody though. Lol.
She’s a native Californian born in LA. Safe to say there’s some truth to the stereotype 😂
She's a pro. She was awesome in Married With Children
Can we get a quick shoutout to Christina Applegate?
I feel like Bill Hader's reputation for breaking is 100% Fred Armisen's fault. When they're in a sketch together Fred is always laser focused on destroying him and it's hilarious.
Mullaney's Stefan gags also caused them. Weirdly I find his breaks endearing whereas Fallon's always seemed intetional.
And Mulaney was also intentionally trying to break him! Everyone was gunning for him. Bill's corpsing is funny because he's desperately trying to control himself. Jimmy Fallon's laughter always seemed like he just didn't give a shit.
@@seaport7421 I thought it seemed more like Fallon's breaks were originally accidental, but over time he switched and was trying to make breaking part of his persona.
The difference is that jimmy just leaned into it, whereas hader *hated* breaking
@@greebler_elf I think you got it exactly! I feel like Jimmy might have been able to get out of the habit if he tried back in the day, now it's part of his persona. For Bill it's more like a flaw he's constantly fighting and I just want to give him a hug as I laugh myself to tears 😂
I never got this humor until i actually moved to LA - then realized it’s completely accurate. It’s painfully accurate.
I always thought they were making fun of Laguna Beach (the tv show)
@@wombatcube That's part of it, but talking about streets and highways like they do in the sketches is a very Los Angeles thing. It's not even a southern California thing, it's specifically just the LA metro area.
Billy Everyteen i feel like it's also in OC as well though, i'm from there and still sound like this even though i moved away years ago lmfao
@@wombatcube- In LA (west of Downtown) from almost Long Beach up into The (San Fernando) Valley, whenever people arrive to a location, especially if they are late, they proceed to tell the person they meet the route they took and frequently that other person then responds with an alternate route that would have been faster (in their mind). Also, if someone says "I've gotta go, because I have to drive to _______.", they will be asked which route that they are planning to take and then, if that is not the best route in someone else's mind, they will then suggest an alternate route. It also occurs between people who have seniority in LA vs people who are new. In 2007 I had a friend call me via Skype from LA... I was living on another continent, but had lived in LA a number of years, and he was asking me for suggestions on which route to take to get to the meeting he was going to. It is soooooo LA/SoCal.
It’s a real thing in L.A. It’s like talking about the weather anywhere else. It’s just something to talk about. When you live and commute in L.A. and spend 2-5 hours of every day in traffic, it ends up being a big part of your life lol
I’m an Uber driver in LA and even though I have a GPS guiding me, Californians still give me directions just like this. 😂
It's very considerate of Californians to make sure nobody ever gets lost.
As someone who lives in California, the fact that they’re always giving directions, is 100% accurate
True, Im in Aus, caught up with an LA friend in LA and this happened.
My family is from California. And it truly is! My uncle called my dad at one point and started giving directions on the phone to my dad and he just started laughing because it reminded him of this.

It's a joke Californian buttholes!!! I lived in Cali for 38 years. Get over yourselves Karens in the Wild!!! This is why people who visit friends in Cali think we act like stuck up bitches. You say ur burthurt? I'm butthurt you butthurt! If u can't stand the heat grow a pair you girly man. SMH.
100,% accurrarate
The therapeutic value of watching Mick Jagger do a believable albeit exaggerated Southern California accent cannot be underestimated.
Pretty much what all Brits trying to do an American accent sound like.
I was wondering who that was.
Yup, he was the only one exaggerating.
He is a true legend. His wit is surely what keeps him young. he is the best.
funnist thing ever
"Stuart! You never told me you had a dayd!" I'm ded. 😂
As funny as this was for me to watch, Mad Respect to Mick Jagger and Usain Bolt for not only appearing in these sketches but also mastering the southern Callfornian accent. I can't even imagine how hard that must have been for Usain Bolt let alone Mick Jagger. It's not often SNL features a gold medalist/olympian/world class athlete like Usain Bolt as part of their skits. I think he's the only non-American Olympian to make it on SNL in the history of their show. Mad Respect to those two legends.
Strangest comedy I've ever seen. It's hilarious for reasons I cannot explain.
I know right. I'm from Oklahoma and I can't get enough of it
You must not be from California
Its obvious what the premise is?
@@sirprince9734 be nice and speak simple so the Okies can understand
@@sirprince9734 What is the premise?
“Uwuttere yioue deiuing heurre?!”
Same here!
Southern California native here. Accurate.
i was visiting my friend in LA, and we had dinner with her parents. 80% of the conversation we had was them discussing traffic routes. as a native utahn, i felt like i was in one of these sketches lol
“Let’s sit down in these Mexican country-style chairs.... These Californian oak chairs....These coastal living-style chairs.... This Sequoia seating arrangement.” 🤣
I learned all I know about chairs right here 😆
Love this too.
This Sequoia seating arrangement!!! haahaha
In my house, we just say have a seat. I guess one needs to be super rich to describe the furniture that is to be used for plopping one's butt.
Notice it’s a running gag they’re different every episode
“Devan????? WwwwwwwwwwwwWWhat are you doing here?” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Your comments funnier😂😂😂
😅🤣😂LMFAO
*devon
Mick did the best out of any of them keeping a straight face LOL.
"I boogie boarded here from La Jolla" Bruh, that's a feat!
Jumping the cove 😎!!
Right?! That’s like a 3-hour drive North up The 5, then you take The 405-North until you can’t take it anymore!
@@ChuffedLemon I woke my baby boy up laughing at your comment 🤣
Fred just gives a quick "cool" like it makes sense, without the usual counter directions.
@@gigia741 oh shit again, hwahahhahahaahhahahaha1` zebe deeeeeeeee!
I absolutely LOVE how Kristen does the accent, fuckin hilarious
"I'll bring some California grops for us to shar." 🤣🤣🤣🍇
Her accent is the most accurate of anyone, by far.
@@dazem8 lmfaaaoooo
"At this time of daaa? It's gonna be jaaaamed! Are you crazaaaa?"
Hers was the best and most accurate, along with the girl playing Mick Jagger’s wife
The crowd always goes completely silent when the maid is on.
That mirror's getting mighty crowded. 😂
I think Fred's goal became to say, "What are you doing here?" in as few syllables as possible.
Richard Thompson and the EUUHHHHHGG in as many as possible
