Offering your soul will age your sim
Thank you so much for sharing this! I hadn't realised and it's such an important bit of info! And I just play tested and found that absorbing a soul scrap anti-ages your sim and brings them back to the beginning of their life state!
What if you're a vampire though 🤔
@@yuhly2041 it will still age a vampire though it cannot kill them. I tried this and my vampire sim went from a young adult to an adult.
Considering how fast I get satisfaction points (normal lifespan is too short for me, so I play on long), I can just offer my soul once a gig and drink potions of youth (or spellcaster youth potions if I have the ingredients) here and there.
I don’t think it’ll immediately age up your sim…but it will shorten the time in your current life stage
Try to have gloomy traits, my sim has gloomy and she gets inspired instead of scared when meeting ghosts 🤣

I just wanted to add this cause I've discovered it a day ago. But if Your werewolf lives on a haunted lot, they can actually devour the cursed objects and even devour the Specters too 😂🤣 I laughed My ass off when I discovered that like if you're annoyed that the Specter keeps rejecting the gifts you worked hard on for them, just eat them haha that'll teach them to not be so ungrateful. If your werewolf is to terrified to get near the cursed objects, just nom them right up lol

Being a spellcaster *REALLY* helps with this. You get faster gains at the medium skill, plus the copypasto spell, which allows you to clone one item you made and basically let it act as if you made 2 of those items.
A reminder, this is a stuff pack, A STUFF PACK and it feels like a game pack
It's crazy how much this stuff pack includes.
Good tip: if you have a great amount of satisfaction points, spend it on the “Brave” trait. An absolute godsend for this career.

The paranormal pack is the only one I bought when stuff was on sale and I finally decided to buy sims 4.. I feel like I make a great choice, and I went in without knowing anything and just experimenting..I’ve been having my sims live in a haunted house.. they get 250 aspiration points every night they survive! Have to enable Heroic Mode also..

Another thing that works pretty well as gifts for the Specters is to use your Sims’ phone to take photos. Takes no time at all, and you can even do it during your gig if you run out of other gifts to give. Only issue with this is that during my testing, the Specters seemed to accept photos less often than any other gift. Though I may have just been unlucky af.
Such a great tip! And I agree with you about the specters rejecting photos more than other gifts. I feel like I experienced this, but you're absolutely right in that it's still a great option for if you have nothing handy seeing as you can just take them on your phone on the spot :).
@@PeteyPlaysIt They’ll also take the Specter Sip you get from other Specters, for some reason. I really don’t recommend giving them the Specter Sip, though.

It's also important to note that sometimes Temperance will appear while at work. In those cases, you'll just deal with her like any other time by using the dolls or summoning Bonehilda. I think you can also summon Guidry and he can help you by giving you some items too. Personally, I would go with Focused before shifts because that's the emotion that goes with the Medium skill but I'm uncertain if it helps make seances faster or anything. It may just help you raise the skill faster which generally you should be Level 5 already and that's the max.

You can also take pictures with your cellphone and give them to the specters. Its free and an easy way to get 5 - 10 gifts at one time.

This is very interesting! I also found out that if you have a lot in the game where there's a locked door and your medium sim has a gig there, they won't be able to perform any task behind that door, so they'll fail their work day.

Thank you Katarina! I do put a lot of work into trying to make sure there are some useful bits of information :). So I think the pack is really good considering it's a stuff pack. I would say it's one of the best stuff packs out there. But there's still so much more that could have been done with it. If you like the paranormal angle then I think if you buy it once it goes on sale you won't regret it at all :).

So much time has passed, but I still love the paranormal stuff 😅 I'm slowly building a New Orleans style house. I sell gifts from specters in my own store and combine it with herbalism. The small specters loves aged nectar and berry macarons. I've completed the Fresh Chef aspiration to put baked goods in sim's inventory. I've also leveled up the bartending and can also put drinks in the inventory and refresh them. In my house, there are idols even in the toilet. I don’t like it when some red angry person invades my space))) With the new Growing Together expansion, I'm putting specters and herbalism items in a chest to pass on to the next generation when they're young-adult. Everyone in my generation gets a Dragon Age tattoo when they start their paranormal investigator career.😂

Giving your soul actually makes it easier to shorten your sim's life though and they'll be that much closer to aging up until they die (aside from if they die by accident) I noticed that when I did this with my sim their age bar went up.
Well if you enable heroic mode you will be receiving alot of satisfaction points each night in the haunted house so it won't take long to get the brave trait really
If you cloudgaze or stargas and eat different quality fruits or veggies this can help boost the mood to. Thanks for your video super helpful

I just started playing this career after having this pack for a long time. Sadly there's bug playing it in my current save, where specters don't show up, not sure if it's currupted or there's mod issue. I can only watch your video to know what it's supposed to be 😂

I've been trying to figure out why, but no ghosts are showing up for my sim during the investigation. Even after reloading the game. All that appears are the smashable cursed objects. Gonna have to test it out on a different sim to see if just that one is bugged for me.
If you have the highschool pack you can also give promposal signs to specters. 😅 I gave one to Dina. Of course, very awkward.
I have 3 sims in 1 house 2 adults has there medium skill maxed and licensed 1 just did job become ghost hunter yet her first job asked if other sims going with I Choose just her when she left all I got was at work I didn't get to go with her do all have to go ?

The ghost hunter's house is actually just a house that comes with the vampires game pack :).
No ghosts appear on the haunted lot at all so it makes it harder for me to complete. I’m on xb1. I’ve seen things ab having to start with a clean save but I want my current sim to become a paranormal investigator.

Makes it more interesting, for sure. I was able to use scrubero to clean my sim after slipping on puddle. It did not let me scrubero the puddles. Buuut I was able to cast spells on Temperance. Might be another way to fight her back.

@@naminedestati I haven't tried the career yet, but I can Scruberoo the puddles around my home. Also, if you know Transportalate, you can get around the gig location a lot faster.

Wait !so EVERY GIG i have to go to the house which means loading screen? Or can the sim just go to work and return home like all the other rabbit hole jobs
pretty much. you can send them alone but (on harder gigs) they will often come home early having failed the gig! so personally I feel it's best to go along despite the loading screen.

Just off the top of my head definitely thy brave trait that you buy. otherwise in create a sim I think the self assured trait would help to keep your sim confident

That's really odd! They should be able to make one anywhere at level 5. I would maybe try exiting and re-entering the household?

Happens to me all the time. Think it's a serious bug. Someone said that if you delete all ghost objects before the time runs out, you'll be able to finish the gig. I hadn't tried it, yet. I've played it on a spellcaster. Not sure if that's attributing to the bug.
this career was such a nice idea however executed soooo poorly. it could be mix of seances, readings, ghost busting

@@unbeknownst2me422 How does it do nothing? It has all the same abilities as the table, minus group seances, and you can have it anywhere. Hardly a waste of a measly §5 you can easily get back a myriad of other ways. Also, I found it handy during my brief stint running a restaurant so I could summon Bonehilda for nearly free cleaning after the day.

I’m not sure, I believe teens can only get part-time jobs
Sadly, it gets boring fast, since there's no career rewards or anything, it never tells you anything except that customers are happy with you, so you earn more money... been trying to find what rewards the career gives, but apparently, besides the spectre rewards and the weird sculpture hands, dolls, vines, there's nothing more... no new digs, no ghostbuster pack, no vacuum, nothing... what a let down. One more thing they did better in Sims 3.
Never do easy or medium levels because u will not be givin enough to do to complete the job
