    • Honestly when it comes to college football you can never really tell what a QB can be because there is so much variance in the teams they play. The past 3 years or so I could only tell who was going be be good because of the defences they faced. None of the best defences are in the ACC, period. So Stroud going up against Michigan let me know that he will be good because Michigan ran a NFL defence with studs all over. Penix will be good as well because the Talent difference from Washington to Michigan in the trenches was no close and Penix walking off the field at the end of the game showed it. Even with Daniels it will be hard because when he faced Bama he didn't look like a world beater and that was the best defence they faced. Caleb played in the PAC12 so no defence was ever played really as only one team was in the top 25 in defence which was UCLA and they spanked USC, ditto for when he was at Oklahoma in the Big 12. They have no clue what defence means in that conference. Trust me if texas is your best defence and they get wiped off the floor by Washington who got crushed by Michigan then you can see what is going on. The stats in college football are not that important. I don't care what players do against Akron. I care about Drake Maye shitting the bed against Georgia Tech in a game they should have never loss but may could match GT's running game. Just little things. JJ on the other hand played some of the best defences in the country. Rutgers, Nebraska, Penn St, Ohio St, and Iowa were all top 25 defences and everyone except Rutgers was top 10. Don't tell me about B1G offences not being good because the CFB proved without a doubt that it is because in the B1G teams actually play defence and then you have Iowa.

  • Anyone trying to evaluate a prospect now is never going to get it right other than by coincidence. The time to do it is immediately after the college season ends and before the NFL season ends, this is when the evaluations are being done by people that actually watch and follow college football and know these QBs (or any prospect). As soon as the NFL season ends the draft clown show starts, this is where part timers and worse still the national sports media get involved and the hype machine kicks into action. These people have never watched their games, use only highlights and give more weight to pointless things like the combine and pro day than to a players 2-3-4 years worth of college games (which are basically ignored).

  • Also, struggles with ball placement outside of the #s, especially deep. He also took some sacks where he just didn’t feel the pressure. I also think his arm strength is a little overrated, as too many of his deep passes require guys to slow down, or again, if they’re outside the #s sometimes he places it inside or short. • Noo have any of yall watched his full tape every possession or just his highlights he's one of the most inconsistent qb coming out in this draft with the on schedule easy throws he misses more of them badly than I can just look past his foot work needs work he should sit for 2 to 3 years to get his problems fixed washington can not I repeat can not start mariota. NOOOOOOOO JAYDEN DANIELS IS THE ONLY OPTION. At number 2 that is

  • As a Tar-Heels fan this Drake Maye is the real deal he's gonna be the best quarterback come draft day I don't care of where he goes I hope he'll win a Super Bowl Championship but not yet but soon very soon only when the time is right

    @ryaneugenelawrencewalls1987@ryaneugenelawrencewalls1987Ай бұрын
  • Maye has significant accuracy issues and questionable decision making, along with the fact that he had mediocre numbers, played against fairly weak competition, and didn't win anything. Buuuuuut, his measurables look almost exactly Justin Herbert and Josh Allen, but skillset wise he also has many similarities to Zach Wilson. He's certainly not the best QB in the class RIGHT NOW, but his strong arm, big body, good athleticism, and strong arm talent give him a very high ceiling, like Herbert and Allen, but his negatives also lean toward Zach Wilson, who never developed, never fixed his flaws, and is still crap. Everyone also claimed that Zach Wilson was quite intelligent so he could probably fix his flaws in the NFL. That turned out to be false, and ZW actually looks quite unintelligent on the field and never fixed anything. People are now saying the same thing about Maye, saying he's intelligent so he will "probably" be able to fix his flaws in the NFL, like Herbert and Allen, but we have no idea if this is true. But I guess he's worth a high 1st round draft pick because he definitely has the physical tools and prototype body to be very good, but who knows if his flaws and weaknesses will ever be ironed out. Maybe he's just inaccurate. Maybe he makes too many bad decisions. Maybe he can fix these things. We don't know, but we shall see.

  • What I'm worried about are his stats his last season as compared to Jayden Daniels: MAYE - 3,608 yds passing, 24 TDs, 9 INTs, 63% completion rate, 449 yds rushing DANIELS: 3,811 yds passing, 40 TDs, 4 INT's, 71% completion rate, 1134 yds rushing. Both QBs played 12 games. My Patriots, picking 3rd, will pick whichever one is left. I hope it's Jayden Daniels. That TD to INT rate is scary: only 24 TDs to 9 Interceptions? That's not very good. Versus 40 TDs and only 4 INTs? Not close.
