  • Just because cookies are homemade doesn't mean they're cheap. You still have to pay for the ingredients to make the cookies. My mother makes fruitcake cookies every year and the pecans she puts in them are not cheap. She wouldn't even let me take any to my Christmas party because she said they were too expensive. I don't know how much they were, but I bet they cost more than those $10 "gourmet" cookies Karen brought.

  • Homemade ANYTHING is ten times better. When I make homemade food, my family eats it even if I messed up the recipe slightly because of the time and effort I put into it. And when I can give something that I made to someone I love, it feels like the best love and joy in the world when they show how much they like it. I loved this episode and hated it, because I’ve seen both sides.
