You asked me to style comfortable work outfits because many of you find blouses and shirts uncomfortable #letsgetdressed #grwm #ootd #fashion #getreadywithme #shorts #workwear
I would love to wear a glittery sweater with a magpie on my shoulder while walking to work... oh what a dream
Me too!
It does look effortless.
Or perhaps a Raven or Rook
Me too..
@@gaelle4328 Or any member of the Corvidae family for that matter.
As a fellow glitter enthusiast: people LOVE glitter. They don't even know why they're starting conversations with me half the time - but people wanna talk to the guy in a sparkly sweater.
Ikr 😂😂
✨️ I can still make the whole place shimmer
@@pinkroses135 ✨and when i meet the band they ask, “do you have a man?” i can still say “i don’t remember” ✨
bro. I'd have love a guy in a glittery sweater❤️
The only downside is the glittery sweater fabric tends to be scratchy for hugs and snuggles 😔
Dresses can be a great option too, if you get soft fabrics that are comfortable and don't crease. Bonus: fewer items to wash.
Yes! Knit Dresses are my work uniform. Easy to get ready. Comfortable sitting all day long and looks very good as they fit well but not tight.
Yessss my biggest problem is uncomfortable pants tbh so dresses are nice
I live in work dresses, with leggings and cardigans for layering. Effortless
Yes! Laundry day
Yasssss and it always has at least a casual office or formal look so i wont get judged. but personally i always need to wear a pair of short underneath cuz thigh chafings baby
Men's dance pants (specifically latin pants that I've altered) and a comfortable sweater is my go-to work outfit. It looks professional, and the pants are designed to look good, be comfortable, and function in multiple positions. It's perfect for my endo bloat days since they're ultra high waisted so they don't hit across anywhere that can be painful when bloating.
never occurred to me, I need to look into this!!
Bootleg yoga pants are an option, too.
Brilliant idea!
Ohhhh idea 💡!
@PrairieDawnC 🥴 my new place of work doesn't allow these and I don't get it because you can't really tell if you don't closely inspect the crotch and stomach area to see there isnt a button and zipper, and at that point I'd wonder why they're staring in that region for so long to notice
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you 😭
Aww so glad it helps! ☺️🫶
@@andreasfashiongalaxy u r so helpful n funny i just found ur channel n i love u already
How? These are the easiest, safest, and most boring options. The video could be titled, look at your 100 year old colleague and then dress like them.
Okay, hear me out... a fire-inspired outfit and a water-inspired outfit
🥰 love it - challenge accepted!
Can't wait to see it Andrea.
May as well do wind and earth while you're at it...
I have a jersey fabric 'blouse'. It's basically a t-shirt with a fancy collar on, and no buttons. It's so comfy. Really recommend for anyone who has to wear a blouse but hates the feeling!
as someone who has an interest in fashion AND a love for birds, your magpie metaphors are very pleasing to me 😌
I mostly despise button ups. They're often too tight on my arms, they're stuffy, they have weird wrinkles and movement, etc. But knit button ups are a great alternative, and I love the vest and turtleneck ideas, or generally little little lightweight shells. I do have a hard time finding knit tops that are blouse like or elevated without looking cheap, boring, or too revealing, but I'm always hunting for them!
Same
They’re meant for the male shape they just sit wrong.😅
@@hppydwnbythrvr or meant for the wrong body type. Like, no in-between 😂it's either mannequin or man 😂😂😂
@@ayastorm5507 I completely agree.
I have heard people swear by the Everlane button up because of the wide arms,The Candidly did a review
That grey one is gorgeous and I couldn’t even see the glitter. Am unsure if that qualifies me as a magpie or not but you look stunning in literally everything and I admire that.
i would say thats magpie behaviour
Now I gotta go look in the dictionary for the real definition of magpie.
I've been gifted second hand glittery tops in the past that mostly just lived rent free in my closet forever, but after watching a few of her videos, Andrea has emboldened me to try them! XD
I was smiling all the way through this because I could see these styles working on all kinds of bodies! Also, you held up fingers for number three and I set out loud "she passed the test! She is a true German"
I was looking for this comment...the number three😄
I hated blazers more than blouses. In my office era, I loved twin sets as a comfortable, professional alternative to suits. My bottom half would be a bold print pencil skirt, so I didn't look boring.
I don't like blazers either, I tend to wear open button ups as if they're blazers, it seems to work ok for me lol
i actually adore blazers when the fit is good and the sleeves aren’t super long! i even wear them when i wfh 😂
@Alexandra Victoria ah! So You're the reason they keep selling them! JK. I love the way they look on some people, and some suits are so adorable, I just feel trapped in them.
@@apisme9090 i hate the pants that go with them but i love a colorful blazer 😂 i totally feel you though… i feel like the suit pieces are THE WORST but blazers tend to be more relaxed
@Alexandra Victoria For me, who has an hourglass figure, I could never get dress pants to fit right. But I liked skirt suits and I loved my two dress suits. They were so cool: a sheath dress with matching or contrasting jacket the same longer length as the dress. One was olive with black pinstripes, and the other suit was a black sheath dress with a stone jacket. Opaque tights, Mary Jane shoes. So perfect. I even had a cream silk French cuff blouse for under the olive dress. Loved that outfit so much. So comfy, so elegant, yet slightly schoolgirl. 😍 memories.
ahhhhh i'm 100% a turtleneck girl! warm, cozy, comfy but still looks super polished and put together!
This is why I'm thankful my work has a relaxed dress code, that also went out the window during covid 🤣 I come into work in punk/gothic/lolita stuff and no one bats an eye 😌💅 These ideas are all something I would have appreciated back when I started though, great options!
That grey knitted top and turtle neck sweaters are beautiful
Do you have any ideas for office attire somewhere really hot and humid?
That’s a really good (and ngl tough) request - I’ll have a think and make another video soon 🫶
Please! I'd love suggestions for Australian weather!
Linen blends! 100% linen is wrinkle prone but blends are better. Depending on your work environment, wide leg tailored shorts are a good option, especially with a cute belt and a wedge or nice sandal. Flowy skirts work too but I personally need bike shorts underneath. I wear that with a lightweight shell and a loose knit cardigan instead of a blazer. Would love to see Andrea's take too!
@@handarule Thank you for the suggestions!
Thank you!! I just made another comment on how cute but how overheated I would get in the options.
The snaps were so satisfying 🤩
😊
I'm starting my first office job in a week and I was worried about this!!!! I hate shirts but I also want to look professional. Thank you❤❤❤❤
Here again to comment that she would be an amazing voice actress!
Could you do looks to hide or compliment weight gain? I'm struggling with feeling cute while going through sobriety.
Do you think you could do a yellow and cyan look 👀
Oh that’s a fantastic combination! Let me see what I can do - I think I have a few pieces in these colours. ☺️
turtleneck & office pants is basically my everyday look because it's almost always appropriate
What I learned today is that no matter the type of top I wear, as long as it's not a t-shirt, if I just tuck it in black pants, it's good for work. Thanks.
Yes, I actually will. I recently started a new job after a couple years of being out of the work force and was worried I wouldn’t have enough comfy outfits. But I had some cute jackets and pants in stretchy fabrics with the tags still on from when I bought them years ago pre-Covid and better job-searching then. I also bought some nice budget-friendly sweater dresses to wear with cute boots and scarves, and was able to cobble together a week’s worth of options. But clearly, if I buy a few adorable knit tops or sweaters, I can make one pair of pants do double duty. Thanks for the tips Andrea!
I’m personally a fan of the red and metallic gray. All look so good on you :3
I just love the drama and comedy you present as you do your fashion how to.
As an Australian I was very confused by your magpie picture. That bird is adorable and doesn’t at all look like it wants to kill you for walking too close 🤣 I really love the first two options, but especially the sparkly one!
I love these options because I feel like I will look good in them despite having a completely different body type
You look like an iconic theatre teacher, you and my theatre teacher would get along great 😂❤
Love your choices, of course classy high waisted well draped pants are automatically elevating every outfit.
I’m a guy, but I also usually opt for a knit sweater or a turtleneck whenever I need to be formal or business casual. It’s comfy and warm and I hate buttons and ties so for me it’s a win-win!
I love these options but I get too warm and also I don't like to tuck shirts in on account of belly fat lmao
You've just gained a new follower. You're so funny and you really put together some amazing outfits. The last Jean outfit rocked.
Yes. I never considered a vest. I am full busted and shirts make me look larger. I LOVE glittery tops.
Yes! Thank you ❤ I'm always in sweaters because office AC is always so cold 🥶😢😅
I just finished my last uni course and am applying to jobs now and this is honestly really helpful, thank you
I'm sorry but the last shirt you u put on was a half neck not a turtle neck !!
I love all of those alternatives! I need more glittery stuff apparently.
thanks for the tips! i would love a summer edition of this because knit tops and turtlenecks just don't work in the heat and i don't know what to do 🥲
Natural fibers help! I have a cotton/linen blend sweater I wear all summer long. Also layers are important, so you can remove layers when you’re outside and away from the office A/C
Because I don't like feeling stuffed up...I'd prefer a faux-neck, but yeah.... this is incredibly helpful ❤
I love being compared to a mag pie. It makes me feel special. Also I love these outfits
My problem is that I hate work 😑
Turtleneck jumpers with a funky necklace are the best in the winters!
Finally an influencer suggesting stylish work outfits appropriate for the office. I swear most of the fashion YTs have never set foot in a typical office and recommend terrible to inappropriate outfits
I love turtlenecks! Although I currently only own black ones and I cannot wear them without a colourful sweater overtop or a colourful skirt or else I look like the CEO of a certain fraudulent blood testing company lol
😂😂 that last bit
Epic! ❤
Danke! 🥰❤️
Grey and pink look really nice on you.
How funny to find this just now, two days after deciding I needed to get rid of all my button-up shirts! Thanks for the inspiration!
See all of these options work for smaller women . What about thick and curvy? I rarely tuck my shirt. Self conscious about my stomach. What's a curvy girl to do?
I'm in the same boat! I want to look professional but no way am I tucking my shirts in. 😬
No way am I showing the tops of my arms, but the red sweater vest was so cute on.
@@lifeis4letters I'm just now starting to be more comfortable with my body and clothes. Trying cropped top shirts with leggings and jeans etc. A cute romper from old navy and just got a 2 piece from target! High waisted of course.. I'm a size 18 but if Lizzo can do it, so can we! Screw the haters. I'm tired of not wearing what I want!
Do the same, life is too short, besides we aren't fooling anyone...tucked or untucked, the tummy is still there.
The teal / blue turtleneck looks stunning. A good color on you.
I actually love the light aqua top you were wearing at the start of the short.
Oh my goodness! You are amazing... I am one of the stylessless girls in the world and I feel inspired from you! Thank you!!!
The glittery sweater! Love that one! ❤❤❤
Oh my gosh, they are all great alternatives! I have to say, I am a huge admirer of all your videos!!!! They are entertaining and your style speaks my heart's language. I dont think you ever presented an outfit that I did not absolutely love ❤ at maximum. Keep doing what you are doing!!!
That magpie theory is so lovely! 😂❤️
Im gonna show number 3 like that from now on.. it's so cool!!
Finally i found someone who has similar fashion taste, classy elegant and cost efficient
You know what I'm going to say turtle neck jumper!!! My favorite alternative when I need to look super nice!!!🎉
"Attract magpies"! I love it.😂😂😂
Button-ups are literally one of my favourite piece of garment, and yet I loved this :D
All of them are so stylish!
How about a detachable collar can add back some of that "formal/dressy" look? I want to sew a bunch to match all my favorite knit blouses lol I also love wearing elastic waist pants. They usually come in nice patterns and lots of colors. They would all pair really nicely with the blouses you showed us to dress them up more!
I love these! My favorite work outfit is a knit top or turtleneck and a long, flow-y skirt. It looks classy but feels like wearing pajamas
Glittery stuff really attracts the preschoolers in my classroom.
Oh god yes, turtlenecks all the way! Merino ones are super warm and soft, and the wool keeps you toasty warm even if you get the "I-need-to-give-a-presentation-in-front-of-the-whole-team" cold sweats. 😅
Excellent options and very relatable!!! Your presentation is very interesting, humorous and entertaining as well!! Please do more of these - the fancy outfits for parties, short skirts, etc aren’t my reality.
The glittery knit sweater was lovely
The satin blue blouse was super cute
You are one of the best things to happen to KZhead in my opinion. Thank you for existing. 💜
Turtleneck jumper of course! I would also try the first option but with a thin long sleeved top underneath.
love EVERY SINGLE ONE of these alternatives. I have long skirts that I wear also.
This young lady encourages me to get back into dressing nicely. 🎉❤
I love the pastel blue shirt that Andrea wears in the very beginning.
Yes I'm attracted to glittery top 🤩
You have a lovely, light, intelligent humour, because it seems you can fuel it by mature honesty and compassion. Love the tips too.
Just love, love, love your delivery!!!
I adore turtleneck jumpers and even turtleneck sleeveless vests!
Andrea, You need to be a model! Love your energy and timeless class.🐦💃
This is my whole wardrobe already! Knit tops and mock neck turtle necks are my favorite. I wear them everyday tucked into skirts.
A turtleneck with dark pants is my go-to for the office. Especially during the fall but in the summer I do a flowy dress or capris with a mid length sleeve. It gets so hot in Texas and I want to be comfortable during the nearly hour commute. I made huge mistakes wearing long black pants and I was so sweaty.
Dammit😖 You look great in anything and everything. I'm incredibly jealous about that.
she buys stuff she looks good in! :)
@@katherinewilson1853 She's lucky she looks good in so much (I have cousins like it, it's incredibly annoying). I have clothes because I know I look worse out of them 🤭 ... 😭
I love all knit items
I stopped buying button-down shirts 15 years ago. For work, I wear light cotton sweaters or linen pullover tops in summer and wool or cashmere sweaters in winter. 100% cotton jersey for casual wear. I found a long sleeved tunic with a decorative trim hem and side pockets that I bought in four colors.
I’m team turtleneck. It’s simple and comfortable but just looks instantly elevated with a midi skirt or crisp pants. I can’t be bothered to iron blouses so a knit fabric is the best for me
turtleneck group hell ye ! i collected a bit when i was in college because i could wear them as formal or casual now if the weather miraculously gets colder where i live now, i would love to wear turtlenecks again :")
I came across this young woman while browsing in youtube. And I can definitely say you have become one of my favorites to watch. Love your take on fashion and the best part your funny, you bring a smile to my face every time. Go forth and conquer!
I LOVE that last blue jumper!
I just started an office job. The first job that I have had in my life that does not come with a strict dress code. Having to wear business casual and seeing this video is fate. Thank you Andrea. These are great ideas. ❤❤❤
The outfits were so cute! Back when I traveled as part of my business, I packed one pair of black pants and a black skirt. One pair of mid heel shoes, and several cute tops in different colors or multiple colors with earrings to match. It was so easy to pack and no one ever noticed that I may have worn the pants or the skirt twice.
Turtleneck really works on you. I like the magpie allusion. I find myself drawn to the shiny, glittery.
I cannot thank you enough for this advice! I also love a comfy blazer or structured cardigan with a loose tank underneath. :)
I always wear dresses to work. Really comfy. When cold, I add a cardigan or jacket and thermal tights. I can also incorporate a tank top below the dress or those thermal things for the arms for extra warmth.
You're a real fashion guru!👍👍👍
turtlenecks are a truuue lifehack. love em.
She did the German three!
This woman is the hilarious fashionista that we all needed and don't deserve
I wore all of those as well as blouses and shirts when I went to work. I think thats the only thing I miss about not working anymore is the clothes.
Love this, Andrea! Very helpful!
I wore a cardigan with glitter in the trim. My coworkers just keep saying how pretty it is. People really like glitter
I really like your style, very classy. I especially love your recommendations for magpies 😂😂😂 very accurate 🎉
