"for a girl group" is such a backhanded compliment
It's sad because it's a lowkey insult
@@Aelegant_I feel like it is a straight up insult, it feels degrading and like barely a hint of a compliment. It’s so rotted 😔
It's not even considered a compliment
They are complimenting their talent but they dont want to accept that 'women' did something great. They are insulting an entire gender.
And now it's the girls groups dominating charts
"if i don't fit into this generation's standard of beauty, then i will have to create a new, different one" 💜
HWASA IS SUCH A QUEEN AND A LEGEND AND AN ICON.
it gave me chills, it's so powerful
And it’s funny bc she is so beautiful to me that she is the first woman who rocked my world so much that I began seriously questioning my sexuality. Turns out I’m actually lesbian. The power hwasa has is insane.
It hit me when I saw Sulli. She always stood up for her values and beliefs despite the criticism from the media. She is a real symbol of strength for all women everywhere
What values and beliefs did she defend?
@@rsecherry i think for women who want to show the way they are and doesn't fake it
@@rsecherry she's always been an advocate for body neutrality, especially for women. she fought against the negative connotations of female nudity in media. often through casually posting no-bra pictures of herself in instagram. i love her and i wish i had the guts to do the same.
@@pulsar6538 I don't think she was that good, she used the lolita concept once, she also pretended to have cum on her face (a reference to oral sex) so, she wasn't as good as they say
@@pulsar6538 but do you think it's ok to normalize no bra concept? just to prove women freedom?
the first clip frustrates me so much. there is so much ageism towards female idols in the kpop industry. male idols are allowed to age while women have an expiration date. women's careers shouldn't end at 25.
what i hate the most is that if you aren’t to old the your age doesn’t matter (despite being 14 y/o which they are still adolescents)
Men also critical when they are very old
@@rsecherry definitely not as much.
And it's the fact that creep had a crush on his wife when she was in middle school 💀 So she wasn't to young for you to crush on her but Sori is too old to chase her dreams??
@@roaxeliefr it's sickening
When sulli appeared, I started crying, why did the haters do that? She had so much life to live... So many dreams to fulfill
i feel in the same way, I really really miss she so much
@@Chocobears122 2:10
it’s really sad that people were able to support groups like mamamoo but left sulli behind, all these women did things korea would hate but they were able to outshine the haters with fans. I wish that sulli could’ve been shown that same love :( may she rip❤
@@yunawinx omg what happened to her
@@zainebhidoussi1498 Sulli committed su0cide
I'm so fascinated and proud of the fact that the 4th gen has been ruled mostly by women lately, in the sense of music trends, award shows, the songs with the most wins, the most talked about groups. I've been a fan of kpop for a fairly long time and seeing this is something i used to dream about. let's keep showing women's talents and the art they're. let's keep supporting each other, learning from each other. let's stop envying other girls instead let's start being inspired by them. let's break the mold, the generational courses and the unfair standards!
All thanks to 3rd gen GG though as at the end of 3rd gen GG like RED VELVET, TWICE and BLACKPINK dominated the whole K-pop world and left a big breathing space for 4th gen group to ride the wave and 4th gen taking it further ahead.
0:35 Hwasa is a QUEEN.

When sulli said it was nothing and she could fight it, the fact that we know she had committed suicide hurts to see how much she was going through. It hurts to see herself in pain while we did nothing but watch.

Im crying literally
The double standards in Kpop is absolutely disgusting , a male idol can get away with not giving his all on stage , performing shirtless, saying inappropriate things , supporting certain ideologies , however when a female idol wears a short skirt , lack energy on stage , speaks about her personal opinions , or even choose to live how she wants people and unfortunately ”women” bully her , disrespect her and harass her in every way
This.
FAX, sad reality of not only Kpop but globally.
WOMEN WOMEN WOMEN AND MORE WOMEN
i cried seeing sulli. she was making change, the kpop industry is literally insane.
Tbh i am so proud to be a woman bc of her. I will keep mentioning her always whenever people ask me who is my role model. Its her.
I cried so much. They are all so strong. Can’t wait for this video to get more views ❤
Everyone should read kim jiyoung born 1982. When Irene read it people burnt her photocards and unstanned, when RM read it he was praised for being such a progressive idol and for supporting women. It’s a very good book, truly. I’ve only read some long sections online but if I can get my hands on it I will.
I was so mad at women at dat moment of my life ,sadly it happens calling women slut and whore for boys dat won't have anything to do with you after his career
“I feel the most powerful when I’m blackpink, having my girls by my side, and doing what we love”- JENNIE KIM
this really got me emotional- i just had an argument with a girl who was literally sl*t shaming Jennie and bp saying they're p*rn stars just bc they were twerking on stage and wearing revealing outfits. Seriously why is it always women putting down fellow women 😭
Bro ,like literally these people will first hate ,then when they will do suicide or something ,everyone starts loving them for eg.sulli :(
"women like hunting witches too, doing your dirtiest work for you" - taylor swift
its even worse because twerking is not inherently sexual. its a bunch of layers of racism and stereotypes and sexism that backlashes everyone. Wearing shorts and a crop top isn't even remotely sexual. Skin is an organ we all have but they love to ostracize it. I just hate these people because they lack sense and understanding. if they think something, nothing you can say will change it. They only care if it affects them. But i truly wish recovery on their life, because they have to be miserable to be so disgusting to a person. And they will go on and torment these poor girls until they end up like sulli.
It was especially frustrating when people were hating on her for supposedly being misogynistic for being in the show which wtf? But people in return were being misogynistic towards her as if they weren't being hypocritical it pissed me off
i bet She probably drools over male idols who done the same tho.... double standards 🙄
"YOUR THE MAN BUT I GOT THE POWER"

As a girl, this empowered me so much and I really love how these idols express themselves because it is reality. Best video I watched today!
Same,it made me cry so hard Im so proud to be a woman
Hi! Please refer to yourself as a woman/girl. Female is mostly used as a scientific term to refer to the sex of a plant/human/animal and many people find it derogatory to women.
OK... I just watched this video without really knowing what it's going to be about and I came out in tears. I was very moved and burst into tears when I saw Sulli. After this video, I've never loved being a woman so much.
🤍
With all this hate that blackpink has been receiving lately when Lisa appeared I started crying and the fact that the hate is from fellow women from around the world is so unfortunate... These women are doing their very best everyday to present their best self let's appreciate them and their talent

this video is genuinely so reaffirming to me, ive always thought on how my life would've been so much easier if i was born a boy and that i hate the hardships we women have to go through just for being women. but after watching this video, it really showed me just how powerful we are and that i shouldn't hate these hardships, but instead break through them together as we work for a better future for ourselves. thank you ♥
Same... at one point in life i really hated what i have to go through as an overweight woman but whenever i see other women,i feel so powerful and proud to be a woman. Having too many hardships makes us beautiful and strong. As one beautiful person said "having obstacles means god is preparing you for something really good"
3:57 4:10 I’m so happy seeing them being recognized for empowering women. Loona’s entire focus was embracing differences and showing that women can do anything.
i love how each girl group shines in their own unique way :( these types of videos need to be talked about more, and bring more about the stories of female idols/groups that overcome/overcame things in that industry.

i totally got emotional
This edit is so so so good, when I saw Sulli I started tearing up knowing that she tried her hardest. These women have fought for their lives and they try their hardest to make it up to the standards that they "have" to meet. Some people dont understand how much these women risk for their "dream lifestyle" they wanted. Every single woman in this kpop industry deserve so much better than what they got in return for the hard times they went through just for their fans.
I will keep cheering those women forever
Bro my heart sank when I saw Sulli
its so amazing im crying rn

You made a real description to female groups and i really like the video tnx for your hard working it's not just a video for your idols but it's a great meaning for any single girl watching this video. You touched my feelings ❤🙌

hwasa is a inspiration to me her confidence is everything i love her shes such an amazing person, like almost all idols are. (also do u post everything yrs months and days cause it seems like thats how)
recently i’ve been seeing a lot of discourse not just between kpop fans, but between girl group stan’s especially. which baffles me because of how much struggles these girls *all* go through and how big of a difference they make all together. this video was very much needed, no matter which generation comes having women in the industries backs is important. thank you for this video, it made me tear up and very proud of everyone included.
Jennie does not deserve the hate she's getting. Lets protect her
We women are beautiful, we are incredible, it's magnificent to be a woman, let's not let anyone tell us otherwise, each one of us is extraordinary, a marvel without equal.
I identify as genderqueer, but I am so thankful to be born as a woman. It made me strong. I am so, so proud of these ladies for working hard to raise our voices. Especially you, Sulli. I'm sorry the world did not understand you. There aren't a lot of us that did, but we appreciate you and what you've done for us. We are not "just" women, we are women and we are BEAUTIFUL, NOURISHING, WISE, and *STRONG.* Being a woman isn't always easy, but in the times that we find strength, healing, harmony, and peace within the world, I hope it can motivate us to keep our head high.
Thank you for delivering such an empowering message through this video. More power to you. WOMEN WILL ALWAYS BE GREAT!
You have such a beautiful thought, and u have tend to deliver it perfectly 🥰

What a beautiful piece of art this video is. It made me cry, and in my country men and women are treated equally, and we can fully express ourselves, so its not like i relate to it or anything. There was no fancy editing, you didn't share any personal opinions, yet it managed to be so moving. You should feel so proud of yourself, because this video is amazing. I feel like it should win a short video competition or something. Despite you yourself not saying a single word, the message has come through loud and clear. Thank you for this, truly. On a side note, I truly think you have a talent in this regard, and would highly recommend looking into this for a career!
I’m sorry but the double standards like literally are so bad💀💀 like a female idol gets dragged face first in the mud cause she ate a strawberry with 2 hands while male idols could commit a crime while doing aegyo or some shit and people would adore it💀💀
Fr
Fr like one enhyphen members ending fairy was so cringe and ppl were adoring it like bruhhh 💀
all these idols deserve the best
Ryujin was so touching
5 minutes of absolutely beauty, the editing of this is everything and more people should see it because it delivers a message not just for female idols but women in general, women with talent that they’re afraid to show ALL OF IT 😢 little girls too who look at these idols and think they’re prettier or more perfect than them :( I love this video
This is why I will always be a girl-group stan. The boy groups are great but the girl groups need and more importantly deserve our support and love so much more and honestly seeing how amazing they are despite all the crap they have to go through...how can you not just be in awe of them?
I love this video so much... It speaks so much about the double standards in kpop without even having to say it. Just the way it was edited is just.. amazing.

I cried for all of them but I felt so bad for hwasa😕
When Lisa won Best k-pop at the Vmas, i felt it like we SEA women won. I cried and cannot express in words how seen and strong i felt that day.
"Im proud of each and every one of us, bc we went thru a lot" really made me cry

im tearing up i love women SO MUCH ☹️🤍
That video explains perfectly why i have special place for the girls of kpop in my heart 🤧 they're so talented, hard-working, kind, beautiful and so inspiring for me. I have such a strong connection with female artist in k pop, because issues they have to struggle with in this industry is such a common issues for all the women around the world. We are never good enough, never strong enough, never talented enough. But seeing those amazing women fighting back against prejudice is so powerful, i will always stand with them 🧡
Las amo mujeres, somos hermosas, poderosas e increíbles, es precioso ver el poder que tenemos todas juntas y lo lindo que hacemos el mundo. Nunca se rindan, son muy valiosas, las amo 💖
This video is everything.
They worked really hard still they do but people just need a silly reason to hate.😢
It piss me off when people claim that there's no double standards in general in both women and men but also in kpop industry, think about It: you can't deny that when male idols do provocative dance moves or going shirtless on stage they get praised but when female idols does the same they get sl*t shamed, male idols get involved into scandals and anybody can find an excuse for protecting them, while female idols are getting bashed for everything they do. When people will realize It, It would be too late. Be real, i stand and i will protect every woman from every mysoginyist actions.
Wow. I cant stop crying. These women are amazing and deserve the world! When Sulli showed up, i couldnt do it I just started sobbing. Sulli did NOT deserve all the hate she got. Same thing with other female idols. People need to respect them and realize that they are human too. And some people think that if they dont fit into the beauty standards, then they are immediately ugly. Thats definitely not true. The women of kpop are definitely talented and amazing! My heart goes out to all them.

♡ thank you for the video, as a woman, I loved it. ♡
this hits so hard fr… like I’ve watched the “moments in girl power” video so many times and every time it gives me chills!! this is really meaningful when it comes to kpop too when girl groups are so overlooked so thank you ❤️❤️ it hit all those necessary topics too just wow
