The A1 and A2 both use the same bolt stop spacer. Yours appears to be missing is all, but not a big deal as you may have noticed.

Nice review. Couple things about the mag that you may not be aware of. Desert Tech designed the mag specifically for the rifle and for precision. When you insert your rounds into the mag, you will find that there is no way you can damage the projectile, it can't accidently scrape against the sides or the front of the mag housing. The cartridge is held by the neck of the casing so the tip does not rub against the front of the mag and when feeding, the ramps that you shown are specifically angled to direct the projectile into the chamber and not grind against the feed ramps. This eliminates the issue of damaged projectiles that may cause accuracy issues. It also eliminates the necessity of single feeding vs. mag feeding. The spacer in the mag is designed to hold the cartridges tight to eliminate any possibility of damage. Also, your bolt is not an A2 bolt, it is a very early model (A1?) and your muzzle brake is not a desert Tech brand muzzle brake (that I have ever seen). Not an issue at all as the A2 is backwards compatible with all A1 conversion kits. This may be why your bolt cams a little bit harder.

I didn't know that. I got this rifle second hand so that definitely explains it! While the mag design may protect the projectile it sure sucks for loading!

They now ship with a new coating on the bolt, seems dt agreed it could be smoother to operate

If I’m not mistaking the monopod is back as standard configuration for A2 as of sometime 2022, if not earlier.
