      @7Amps@7Amps Жыл бұрын
    • @7Amps I ordered from special purpose rifles, they had it in stock, shipped next day... you can definitely paint the panels or just order a solid color model... they only had the bi tone in stock so I went with it... I plan on sending it out for a custom cerakote from blown deadline

    • @@holdinasack6029 get something sturdy and made for heavy rifles. My buddy has a Cadex Tremor and he put some cheap ass bipod and it freaking sucks ass. I have the Atlas 5-H…the price stings for sure but at least you won’t regret it and buy twice

  • Have you shot the .338 suppressed? I’m between a .338 Norma and a .300 Norma, and I was curious about recoil and blast with yours? I’m trying to protect my brain after some army TBIs, but still want to get after long range hunting. Thanks man and great video!

    @corvinking4996@corvinking49968 ай бұрын
    • Yeah, it's decent suppressed for sure. The blast is farther away from you with a can on there. I'd suggest the 300 Norma if those were the two rounds you are wanting to consider... The 300prc or 6.5 prc would also be something to consider as well

      @chef.papa.6tango523@chef.papa.6tango5238 ай бұрын
    • Thank you for taking the time! I appreciate your thoughts on it, and now I’m definitely leaning .300 Norma or PRC. The 6.5 doesn’t hit quite hard enough for me on large deer. Have you done custom barrels through short action customs before?

  • Quixotic sent this video my way. I’m a huge Bullpup guy. They call my Desert Tech MDRX “Space Gun.” It doesn’t help that I also rock a Flux Raider, so I’m just completely Halo Guns all the way. Love the video comparison. I’ve held an SRS and compared it to other .338 types. Seeing it compared directly to a genuine HTI is crazy. That’s just a whole other level of insanity. Can you tell me how much it weighs fully deployed? Optic, full mag, bipod, etc.? Basically how much it is for you to lug around in the field?

  • Sup man, I got my HTI about a month ago, and have a question… Do you magazines and bolt work properly?? My magazines have been giving me issues such as getting the stack of rounds cockeyed, and the bullet rim under the bold catching on the striker end cap when racking the next round, essentially fighting two rounds at the same rime

    @7Amps@7Amps Жыл бұрын
    • Haven't had any issues with it in the 300 rounds I've shot through it. I'd call desert tech or special purpose rifles and inquire

      @chef.papa.6tango523@chef.papa.6tango523 Жыл бұрын
    • I'd also be curious if it does it with just 5 rounds in the magazine or does it do it with 4? 2? That'd be something I'd try before I called... id also try various rounds of factory (mil surp, Hornaday ect)

    • @@chef.papa.6tango523 mmm…I’ve brought it up to Desert Tech and I’m sure I ruffled some feathers cuz I was pretty spooled up over it. I adjusted the feed lips and bent the spring end loop some more and it seems to have improved the issues a lot, but every once in a while, halfway chambering the next round, the lip of the following round in the magazine gets caught on the lip of the bolt end cap and I have to push the sleeve forward it’s very annoying

    • AI is a smooth action and a super nice gun. It's double the price which I can't justify and a decent amount heavier... I ended up with the DT for its size and weight... it came down to what I wanted to carry, I shoot in the field not a bench. And also what would fit in my safe. A 50cal most the time is really really long. I don't/didn't want to have it in a case all the time/wanted it to be stored in a safe If I had a dream 50cal bolt gun, it'd either be the JJ ROCK, or the cadex defense.

You've just got to know your scope, it's abilities and limitations... it will surely hold up to a 50bmg recoil if in the right set of rings or mount
