  • The orca footage is one of the most beautifully terrifying things one could imagine. On one hand we know they’re hyper intelligent and understand us. They interact with us and are curious and at times even protective. Sometimes it may even come across like they have an affinity for humans or at the very least are simply tolerant. On the other hand knowing this creatures capability as the apex ocean predator in tandem with the knowledge that their cool behavior is 100% voluntary, if they chose violence there’s not one single thing you can do about it out there. We trust them to not make us their target and operate simply on faith. That is so beautiful and chilling at the same time.

  • It amazes me how animals that could kill in an instant if they felt like it are so often peaceful and just curious yet so many humans do nothing but harm to them or their environment

    • That's the funny thing, the ones with the most capacity for violence have the most freedom to be peaceful and stay safe. I hope I get to see animals like these people did one day, I have no delusions that it wouldn't be dangerous, but knowing that I'd still take the risk.
