It is insane to see how daringly skilled pilots show off their performance that has been acquired in no other than repeating of trainings, trainings, and trainings. • I'm pretty sure it was LCDR Zimmerman who did the narrating during a Blue Angels demonstration in Duluth MN summer of 2023. Apart from his aviation creds, I was also impressed by his articulation, poise, and honestly, keen memory. There is a lot that the narrator says and he spoke it all without skipping a beat, seemed so comfortable and natural. Was also great to hear one of the pilots was from MN. Our entire home state was very proud of her. Very inspiring.

  • Saw the Blue Angels show at Guardians of Freedom in Lincoln, NE last month. LCDR Zimmerman did a fantastic job as narrator for the show. He knew the names and home towns of every single person on the team by memory, and he presented a 30 minute show without missing a beat using no notes. Military precision at its finest :)

  • Saw the Blues when I was maybe 8-9 yrs old. Military air show my mil dad took me to that I’ll never forget. They did a high speed low altitude pass. Maybe 15-20 ft off the ground and so close I remember thinking I could have reached out and touched the wing. Truly incredible aviators. Dust coming off the runway and then did a straight vertical pull up to 20,000. Insane pilots, nothing but respect for these guys and what they do.

It’s the most exhilarating and impressive demonstration I’ve ever witnessed. Your chest is rattled by the engines, hearing muffled (definitely wear ear protection) and your heart pounding.
