    • Impeachment is not a criminal trial. It's a political process. And it is a bit of an open question while there are people who have been impeached after leaving office there are also some where the impeachment stopped because they were no longer in office. In general: That's more like if my employer sends me to a sexual harassment course for some misconduct but i leave the company before that. The person i did this to can still press civil and or criminal charges depending on the situation. So your question about not getting arrested misses the point a bit.

    • @@asatowne5234 Again Reread, these dumb analogies people keep using are moot, being charged for an actual crime and being impeached are two entirely different things. Impeach is to remove you from office while you are STILL IN OFFICE it's not to charge you with a crime, impeachment is brought about usually because of a crime. THEN if successful or not (impeachment) you can still be actually charged with said crime. No one's saying the accountant can't be charged for murder, but you can't remove the accountant from his job when he has already left said job. The only reason these people are even bothering is because they want to ban Trump from ever becoming president again, impeachments take quite a while to do, they can't be done in the single week left in office. So once again Impeachment charges are not the same as actual criminal charges, one is basically to get you fired from your job, why they use the word charge who knows.

    • That's a very common trait actoss all politicians. I remember a Pelosi interview with Wolf Blitzer about Covid relief bill.... He asked a rather important critical question her respone was more or less (paraphrasing of coirse) "I came here for an interview not for another discussion with a Trump supporter".... yeah she called Blitzer a Trump supporter and never answered the question.. Politicians do stuff like that all the time it's just getting rather blatant and outrageous the longer it goes on
