  • Murray is already a legend at this point. Kyrgios is a wonderfully gifted player and some of that is on display here at his early age. His speed , power , style and control is a joy to watch.

  • Australia never forgave Kyrgios for losing this match. Yet he played really well. His country's relentless criticism and mockery for losing such fine matches wore down his confidence. No other country in the world would have done that to their amazing young players.

  • This year and the following year, 2016, were his peak in terms of consistency. But there he lost numerous chances due to Novak's peak and Roger's god mode. It is impossible for him to have won only one Grand Slam in two years. If Murray was around this time in 2022, he would have won every Grand Slam.
