He couldn’t have average 50 points a game in todays NBA. Now there are 7 footers everywhere. Not just him. The defenses are more sophisticated. The players have more talent across the board. There are 30 teams. The NBA has doubled in size and talent. Watching a game from the early 1960s looks crude and primitive compared to watching an NBA game now. • Two players that became legends in the NBA and even though they didn't win any championships they made their mark in the league. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.

  • This was a golden era the atmosphere Iverson vs Marbury, Dick Vitale with the commentary. I felt sad when he mention Lorezen Wright, how Ray Allen said he was the best big man he's ever played with. I remember Ray Allen and AI going at it in the Big East.

  • College was DIFFERENT then. Look at all the NBA players on two teams that weren’t even considered elite. Obviously Marbury and AI but Jerome Williams, Matt Harpring, Jahidi White and Othella Harrington all had excellent careers. And Drew Barry and Victor Page were STUDS at this level. In todays era, this could easily be a Final Four game.

  • The 96 draft class was so stacked. Imagine those killers playing against each other in college...& then Duncan came out in 97. Nowadays it's 1 & doneski. All u can do is imagine what if Zion & RJ stayed at Duke? Herro & Maxey at Kentucky?

  • Look how many points was scored in the paint you had to have a tough game as a guard then now college and pros no contact all jumpers shit is sweet compared to how intense they played then straight physical uptempo to the rack every time down

  • MANNNNN, these were the good ol days. AL AND STEPH were the best guards from high school to college. And what was great about it is how they matched up against each other. None of that BULL ISH they do today when stars playing the same positions don’t guard each other. On another note, everybody usually forget how good VICTOR PAGE was. Great talent in his own right.
