When you’re in the bottom of the mount and your opponent climbs up to high mount, cup their elbows to throw their hips above your head, then throw your legs up and swing them to the side to get them off of you.

This has worked for me, even with heavier ppl (easier with lighter ppl ofc)
Ill try tonight. When I'm with someone new I often start in a disadvantage position.
Let me know if it works for you.
@movewithcesar Hit and miss. I have a bad habit of occasionally misjudging someone's abilities.

"Mount me please! 💅🏼" ** proceeds to perform incredibly sus escape** 😂😂
Just give it a try.
@@movewithcesar all jokes! I definitely will and i subscribed.
@@ezfnw Of course, thank you.
Share this video with anyone who’s struggling at escaping the high mount.
I did today it works perfect
Thank you sir ..what if mounts you and locks the legs under your back will it be possible to do the same escape? Thanks
How do you prevent them from basing with their hand? Is it a dead angle situation?
I do a variation of this that has worked even on black belts and is my go-to escape everytime im on bottom. I get to that same position where he is pushing up his armpit with arms fully extended but, Instead of swinging my legs to the side, i swing my legs UP and either use my feet to push off of their shoulder blades or replace my hands on his armpit and replace with my feet to escape from under OR i elevate my hips and legs enough to tuck one or both feet inside the front of his hips or even a figure 4 lock if im able too. From these positions im able to slip under and come up or sometimes im able to grab ahold of and attack their legs belly down.
Awesome! Thank you. I needed to know this one.
Nice!!!!!
I tried a similar move last night. Only the other one I watched you put your feet in the arm pits once you push them up. Now I've gotten fairly flexible since I've started bjj and with my partner having serval inches and 50 lbs on me it didn't work. I'll have to give this one a try.
I usually either shrimp to regain position or rotate my waist and body and crawl out and then grab his back
Thanks! I just got into bjj and experienced a lot of situations where I had a high mount. Will definitely try this out!
I hope it works, let me know in the comments if it did.
What if they arm bar you when you extend? Or maybe they don’t have time when you do it full speed
Just keep your arms straight and hands on armpits, it’s only when you bring your arms towards their center line that you become vulnerable to attacks.
I never had a problem escaping high mount now all of a sudden I’ve been getting stuck in it. Hopefully this helps, thanks for sharing!
Ok so what happen what’s the update
What the updache 😂
Wow beautiful like magic.. Thank You. Will def add it to my toolbox. Thanks again.
Let me know if it works.
@@movewithcesar hahahahahahahahahahah I did It ,got weirdly ontop I had the better weight shift after legs hip turn, so I was ontop, needed to readjust but I was definitely ontop. Full mount escape thanks.
Mind=BLOWN!! I constantly get trapped by high mount. I’m going to try that, then come back here and report my findings lol.
8days later. Please report.
Yeah... no update you fibber.
Great tutorial VDO
Im not great at jitsu but couldnt the top person go to S mount and threaten the arm bar
I like it but the problem i have with these escapes is that why would the person in high mount just let you cup their armpits with adjusting slightly to it by tucking their elbows and possibly flatten out right then what? Like it looks nice when we're all rolling at a level one but once we're rolling at level 2 even, no one would just let you cup there underarms and then swing your legs for momentum to sweep
Is all about turning this into a skillset and not camping in that position for a longer period of time. I’ve tried this against black belts going at 💯 percent and it works just fine.
I will also add that the person on top will probably post so I would think it would be hard to just get them on their back that easily
Your right dude but look at every other move out there they all have weaknesses. Remember this is a really disadvantage position! There's a reason you shouldn't be in it in the first place. If it was that easy we would all be happy to be caught in mount.
Would you change your escape if the guy keeps his torso heavy and low?
ff
And arms spread.
Got arm barred instantly by a black belt. You’re giving up your arms when you lock them straight.
Send me a video to my IG and ill check your technique, when done properly theres no armlock, it’s all about distance and angle, i’ve done on countless black belts.
Can you do demonstration while punching are coming down to make it more realistic?? Like make it realistic.. the guy literally swung with you.
this version is for the sport, there’s different variation for self-defense check out the other videos
Kinda of gay but definitely trying! Thanks 🙏🏾
I try to try this on a big dude and didn’t work or maybe I didn’t do it right
find me on IG and send me a video doing it and i’ll let you know what it’s missing.
What is your IG?
@@BalancingGaryTea@movewithcesar
Unlikely
That ain't gonna work in a real fight. You're better off doing a back door escape.
i tested it and the guy couldn’t punch me. 😉
@@movewithcesar What if he sits up, and you can't reach his armpits?
@@chrisfrank8413 you bridge or you do a gut check, these are basic self defense escapes
@@movewithcesar How are you gonna bridge him when he's that far up? i mean one leg to the back, he goes down, but at that high? Not close or reliable. Best i can figure, is if you can get your hands in, you can do a bridge and froce him down, then onto your side and do a backdoor escape?
Tried it many times - didn't work for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
film yourself and send me a video IG: @movewithcesar
Film yourself doing it from multiple angles and send me a video on IG: @movewithcesar
Bro forgot to resist , if your on the bottom against someone who knows what their doing, they will distribute their weight to halt your momentum, however this would work against someone inexperienced.
With or without resistance, in fact if done properly you can invite the top opponent to try and armlock you and they won’t be able because of the distance management and the off balancing that the bottom person is creating.
@@movewithcesar I take back my previous statement. That’s actually a really good tip I will try this in future, thanks for the knowledge. I’m a subscriber now.
