Assassin's Creed may have satisfied some fans of the video game, but the rest of us... not so much. This movie sets the record for "amazing actors slumming."

probably my favorite part in the movie was when the kid messed up the bike trick in the beginning
Mr. Jiggly my favorite part was when he took ofc his shirt XD
My favorite part was the end because it was over
9:24 Sin 91 He missed the conveniently placed haystack at the bottom, which caused him to desync. Everyone who's played Assassin's Creed has done that at least once.

They could've done the story of Edward Kenway from Black Flag and used Chris Hemsworth as the actor and it would've been a killer movie. Like cmon!
oh shit you're right he does look like edward a little
Anyone else notice that Kenway was the last name of Connor and his father? Or am I an idiot
@@capitive1503 its because they are related
@@capitive1503 there is no facepalm big enough xD
Or they could've just used his voice actor, Matt Ryan.
One of the things that gave me nerd rage in this movie is how they don't even get the terminology right. The assassin's organization is called the *Brotherhood,* the creed is just their motto.
True
The thing that really gets to me is the Animus, I know I'm not spelling that right, I get that they had to change it.
The creed is not the motto it's the ideology
The Creed isn't just a motto, it's a creed. The rules they live by.
Just imagine how hard is it to be a Resident Evil fan.
"Does he remember mundane things?" Well Ezio remembered collecting feathers, soo... yes. yes he does. XD
Not to be dirty minded, but another mundane thing was Ezio was a womaniser- like A LOT! Imagine watching someone in the animus (movie version) literally.. eh.. thrusting?? ^^U Also, your comment made me snort laughter, so thanks~
And being born apparently.
For the collecting feathers thing. . .didn't Bayak do that too? Or was collecting feathers just a normal thing for Ubisoft's assassins to do?
Lark88 Altair remembered collecting flags and picking pockets
The animus isn't based on actual memory, it's based on genetic memory. So it would make sense for literally everything, including his birth be stored in there.
I don't get why game-based movies go out of their way to change everything good about the games.
To be fair (and I haven't watched this movie or played much of the series, so this is general), movies tend to have to change stuff to fit the medium.
I understand, but still, the outcome often sucks.
Adnane Roc along with writers having only read the description on the back of a boxes or the Wikipedia entries
I bet the people who make them are too lazy to play the games so they just read up on it on Wikipedia.
Bcuz who da fuk carez about story?! Gotta make dat qwit money boiiii
Remember when the animus worked like a VR headset, yeah good times, but hey movie drama
Or like a coffin. Or a complicated therapy chair. Or literally anything that would’ve made more sense than a giant stupid arm.
Because no one wants to watch a movie about someone using a fucking VR headset. That free motion apparatus was great
@@thevoidlookspretty7079 I think the arm makes more sense tbh. they were using the animus as training for a long time. Why not build practical motion alongside the practical knowledge? Plus, synchronizing seems to be more finicky, but nets more accurate memories, so the motion likely aids sync as well.
@Halo Wanna the Templars had the animi training program. It's what they used to train new recruits
What about the way they did it in avatar
1:12 I'm going to use a James Kidd quote, that he says when Edward misunderstands the phrase "Nothing is true, everything is permitted" "You parrot the words, but you do not understand them"
only a true fan of blackflag would notice that so kudos for you!!
Nice
Here's a real commentary on this movie: I saw this very video pop up, said "Oh, is Assassin's Creed out already?", googled the release date, and found it came and went SIX MONTHS AGO.
Honestly, I saw one trailer and heard nothing else. Ever. Nice job, advertising team.
Yeah very low key marketing. I knew the movie had come out but I only knew it existed because of the gaming sites I frequent.
SAME!!
LITERALLY SAME
Sooo movie failed to movie even before it had the chance to movie. (ding)
u think those credits are long?...in the games even the cleaning person in the Ubisoft toilets gets her name shown...and in every language the game is available
ff14 in the Guinness book of world records for longest credits because of all the players who stuck around in 1.0.
I think the credits for both Rayman Origins and Legends are damn near the length of a movie
Little Nightmare bullshit
MysterioBerlin when I beat one of the games (idk which one) I left it running and ate dinner AND IT WAS STILL GOING.
4 words for you: Mighty No. 9 Credits...
A thing that really fucked up my nerves hardcore was that the assassins in the movie cut the ring finger on their right hand. Canonically, it's their left hand - portrayed in ac1, ac origins. Also by the 15th century they didn't need to cut their finger (unless it was part of the initiation ritual, which I doubt) because the hidden blade's design had advanced considerably by that time.
Also the animus is a chair with a computer thing connected to it not a wierd huge arm thing
*"Apple fans-annoyingly loyal since 1492."*
Best comment ever😂🤣
Even longer than that
This guy is a savage. I want him to tell me everything wrong with my life in 13 minutes or less.
that would take at least an hour.
efge3wf ewfgef 13 minutes? hahahahaha with me he'll talk for hours
efge3wf ewfgef 13 minutes is not enough time bro
why bleu cheese? and yes, it's bleu, not blue for cheese
liquid uranium damn 😂
Let me tell you something good about this movie; it doesn't have blindingly bright loading screens.
Yeah, the loading screens are a lot shorter than they were in the last game.
I am a huge Assassin's Creed fan, but the movie was just terrible.
I am a huge fnaf fan and I pray and hope they do the movie well 😔
Please explain to me why you hated it because I thought it was great. Regardless of what people say, I’m not afraid to say it.
It was a disaster
The problem is that if someone never played a game before, they’d hate this movie. All around, the movie was alright. Some of the real world scenes sucked but I think they did a good job portraying the memories.
@@Gho5t_1984 Well, I think they didn't tell the story as they should have, mind you I have played the games so from my perspective knowing the pretext. Plus the simulation while in synchronisation isn't how Abstergo operated in the game? He was having to execute the moves to reflect his memory? A lot of things just didn't make much sense. But that is just my opinion, disregarding the games storytelling, the movie was good.
I don't think this dude has ever played an Assassin's Creed. Also, him seeing Aguilar is something called the bleeding effect which is also how he knew how to fight
That's the point if the criticism lol. A movie is supposed to stand on it's own not rely on information from the game.
Play 3:39 and listen. This guy makes a single joke about time-travel, and suddenly everyone takes it serious without bothering to finish watching the video.
@@Laocoon283 Ah yes, a movie about a video game should stand alone and not rely on information from the actual video game it's based on to make sense. Using that logic, Super Mario Bros. isn't the worst video game of all time
@@thornwall6303 dont really know what your trying to say but yea not every1 going to see the movie has played the game so why would you rely on plot important info to be narrated exclusively through the game. That's just gonna result in half of your audience not understanding the movie.
@@Laocoon283 Ok counterargument: Why would you go see a movie based off of the Assassin's Creed game series if you've never played an Assassin's Creed game or are even remotely interested in the Assassin's Creed game series? That's like walking into a gun store even though you are against guns

St. Ranger it's one of the best video game movies so far so ehhh I wish they picked the script of the assassins creed 2 because it's the best story
Stephen Borkowski they probably wanted their own storyline to prevent a quicksilver-esque scenario where you somehow have two origin stories
Justin Kurzel directed the film well enough IMO. I think the script and Ubisoft's signature buggery really spoiled the final product.
I feel like you're rehashing a Star Wars quote with that, except Obi Wan says destroy not kill, but thanks for trying
St. Ranger Bring balance to the genre, not leave it in darkness! 😅
Well, calling "city" to Andalucia deserves a sin
It's really common knowledge
I was searching for a comment like this.
@@nils1749 its also hardly unpronounceable lol
some of the sins could be easily explained: it's a fan service for gamers(doesn't make the movie better, but explains why it's there)
I swear, you're the only person in this comment section that I've seen that has made that point and not complained about them not playing the game.
@@Mk-it6cr no, not at all.
@@Mk-it6cr Exactly. They tried to give the game fans some fun stuff but they screwed so much else up it wasn't even worth it.
Andrew Cruz I don’t think you understand how company’s work, they don’t do it for the fans they do it for the money that’s why some people don’t like new games anymore even if there’s nothing wrong with them it’s because of the company
Most of the “sins” are just movie cliche. He gave a point for the face touch? And another point for the drugged running scene? Anything besides a family of 4 with kids born from missionary sex followed by blueberry pancakes is a “sin” to this guy
Really surprised you didn't sin/mention the fact that 95% of this movie took place in abstergo, and that about 15 min of the movie actually took place during the inquisition with the assassins
Blake Hunter I don't know about u but those were my favorite parts of the game walking around that boring gray building instead of being kicking ass in the animus.
Bruce Young either I don't get your satire or your sarcasm.
The Sins are based on the movies themselves without consideration of the source material. Since they aren't considering the balance of modern day to past found in the games, the movie's balance isn't being compared to anything.
Erudito otidurE what you said literally had no connection to my comment lmfao.
Blake Hunter True. I loved this movie. 10/10. But I hated that Aguilar only had 15 mins of screen time.
We're gonna make this movie about an Apple to make the movie seem like even more of an asshole
themightysven I don't understand one bit of that.
It's a recurrent joke in Cinema Sins. Everytime a character eats an apple, the guy says this.
he says "director tells actor to eat an apple so actors character looks like an asshole" in essence
themightysven if you don't play assassins creed then you wouldn't know what the apple of eden is. It has nothing to do with Adam and Eve.
Booon Noob technically Adam and Eve are mentioned in I think it was subject 16s memories if you worked out all the puzzles
2:02 the man actually says "nothing is true, everything is permitted" in Arabic
lel Really the movie butchered the subtitles by having it say (backwards spanish)
that must be altair
As a fan of the games, I didn't really like the movie but I like how they included the bleeding effect.
Actually the statement "nothing is true everything is permitted" comes from the real life middle eastern Hashashin the Assassin's were based on. The motto is often taken out of context in the AC series. In reality its referring specifically to religion as "nothing is true" means the rules of religion are not real and simply rules made by man and "everything is permitted" meaning things usually considered unlawful and immoral (murder, thievery, suicide, etc.) were in fact allowed and not the rules of any sort of higher power. Also fun fact the assassins IRL actually worked WITH the Templars during the crusades not against them. Annnnd then got slaughtered by the Mongolians only 100 years after they began.
The series interprets that motto as this: _To say that nothing is true, is to realise that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilisation. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic._
@@zorex. some of the games also sprinkle some "the needs of many outweight the needs of a few" (like in killing one guy to save multiple others) into the mix.
everything was perfect, until the 100 years fact, it was reported they lasted about 300 years, now i might be wrong, they might have been slaughtered but some survived ... not sure
I figured that the assassin's would help in the cursades
@@jedidiahstone5949 becouse they had the common enemy, sunni muslims. Hashinshins (assassins in the western world) were shia muslims who wanted shia islam to be the dominating islam in the middle east. They failed as much as the crusaders

I would like to point out that, if anything, the game's story is more batshit insane than the movie's. However, it is *cohesive* and although it gets a little pseudo-science gobbledygooky at times, it still has a *consistent* internal structure that the player can follow. The threads of Assassin and Descendant are interwoven in a way that is entertaining and easy to follow (if weird). Also the Animus is more like the Matrix. None of this suped up Vive shit where the Descendant is physically performing the feats of the Assassin. But I guess they felt like they wouldn't have gotten the most out of buying Fassbender's time if he'd been laying in a box for half the movie.
^ The animus in this movie is retarded.
Draukagrissah Cohesive my ass. The game series has one of the most stupidest stories in all of gaming. Very fun games, shit story
Superhero Fan the story was good until brotherhood. The story outside the animus in the first game was really interesting. But then desmond died and everything went to shit.
They didn't want to invoke Matrix vibes. I mean, that's a stupid reason for the Arm-nimus, but that's one of the reasons they gave.
Haittakari The last game I played was Black Flag as well, but I've watched Letsplays of the following games. Unity is garbage with no redeeming qualities, Rogue has janky dialog, but I'd recommend watching a letsplay if you like the narrative (It ties heavily into AC3 and Black Flag, plus introduces some modern day characters who may be important), and Syndicate also has instances of janky dialog, and feels a little out of place in the universe, buuuuut I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, and the modern day (which consists entirely of about 10 minutes of cutscenes and some audio logs) has potentially major implications for the future of the series. I wouldn't recommend spending money on any of them, but if you have any interest in picking the series back up in the future, you'd do well to check out letsplays and Audiolog compilations from the latter two.
"Oh Lord, wash away my sin" *Looks directly at the sin counter*
They could've at least stuck with the original story I mean it can't be so hard to look for people who look like Desmond or altiar
The movie is a canon expansion to the games universe also one of Cal's ancestors is Arno Dorian
@@MOH-ph3qm To add to that, I think Omar was meant to be a descendant of Yusuf from Revelations.
@@TierRune yeah almost every character that was prisoned in abstergo was confirmed a descendant of some of the famous assassin's
Aguilar was cool though
it could've been more even. maybe it could show Desmond going through the first 3 games leading to his death. would be hard to fit 3 games into a single movie but i've seen it happen, a huge plot squeezed down into a single movie and it still being good also, i'd really like to see Haytham on the big screen, he was such a cool character and i'd love to see him portrayed by an actor
This isn't time travel. This dude never played an Assassin's Creed game.
He probably didn't, but that's beside the point. If your movie doesn't hold up without the viewer knowing the source material... then the movie sucks balls, period.
@@zimnylech527 i mean, if you go into something specifically advertised as a movie about a game, and you choose not to play the game beforehand, then your an idiot to begin with . . . but hey, lets not judge right? . . . the entire point of a movie based off of a game is that the viewer DOES know the source material ffs, otherwise why the hell would they be going to said movie . . . also they did explain that they were accessing genetic memories, time travel wasnt mentioned ONCE in this movie . . . ps - dont get me wrong, the movie was trash, but call it out for what actually made it trash, rather than for some bullshit reason

Yeah, a great thing about the video games is that there are basiccaly no good guys. I mean, there the ones who want to be dictators and rule the world, and literal assassins on the other side. The change of the usual good guys/bad guys division is refreshing. But there are so many things in the Assassin's Creed franchise that they simple couldn't explain all they needed to explain in the short time lenght of a movie. So, yeah. Point to them for effort. I'm still disappointed. The games are awesome (though less so in the more recents) and my favorite to this day and the movie doesn't live up to the potential.
@Madeleine Fisher The Assassin's have a creed and part of that creed says that they won't kill an innocent. So no, they won;t kill you even if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, the Templars however, will do whatever it takes to get what they want.

This Assassin's Creed movie was made by various religious faiths and beliefs.

yea the movie is canon to the game universe, you'd know if you played origins, the main character who is using the animus sent and received emails with sofia, and the arm design for the animus was her idea
It’s not supposed to be a game, it’s a movie. It’s supposed to take the general idea of Assassin’s Creed (because it’s cool) and turn it into a unique story. It’s not connected to the games because it’s a MOVIE. There’s a difference.
it's set in the same universe as the games though.
The eagle is the spirit of assassins creed
Please sin Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. You thought this movie had too many goddamn cuts? Resident Evil took one look and said "Hold my beer."
Xander Roberts I actually liked that movie, it was supprisingly fun. And a high note for the series.
they made another movie? how many damn movies... I gave up after the 1st.
Eh the plot sucked and the plot twist was predictable.
Mr.Death Yeah but it led to the line ''The trinity of bitches.'' More than worth it in my book.
Demonos3 This is the sixth one in the series. Personally, I enjoyed the first two movies. Three and four weren't great, but they could have been worse. Five was probably the worst one in the series before the final chapter, but with how they ended it, I was really hoping to see Wesker and Alice team up to take down the red queen in the sixth installment. By no means am I a die hard RE fan. I've played 5, a few of the wii games, 6(which blew), and Revelations. I've seen a playthrough of Resident Evil 4 as well, though I doubt that means much. So while I have experience with the games and consider myself a casual fan, I can't comprehend the frustration of bigger fans of the franchise than I. You're all more than welcome to disagree with me on the appeal of the movies. But with the final chapter, the story is shit, there's 40 cuts in every 15 seconds, and what's probably going to piss everyone off the most *SPOILER WARNING* is they turned Umbrella into a religious cult. A fucking cult. I'm not kidding.
Ah you missed a trick. When they open the box 13:37 you should have played the Apple start up sound.

I played almost every Assassin's Creed game, am a big fan of Michael Fassbinder, a huge fan of the character Omar from the Wire, but none the less - that movie managed to suck balls pretty damn hard. They'd be wise not to make a sequel but, they probably will.
CoolFugginRanchKid I think they're actually making a TV series
Exactly how I felt. I was so baffled at people trying to rate the movie good to oppose the critics, like they did with Suicide Squad. Like fan of the video game franchise or not, which I am as well, this was easily one of the worst movies ever made; hell even when compared to other video game movies it's pretty terrible and that's saying something!! People who didn't realize how trash this movie have to be stupid, like Suicide Squad had a *few* redeemable qualities but this could've been better if a 13 year old directed it instead. Hahaha
I'd rather watch a 20 part Netflix miniseries based on the 1993 Super Mario Brothers movie.
Just go watch the original SMB movie.
CoolFugginRanchKid there is going to be a sequel you can see it in the ending

to answer your question, rigor mortis can be early set on by exhausting your muscles before death(like fighting or strenuous work out.... see the standing death of benkei) meaning she's been fondling that necklace for hours.
in the games if you don't follow what the ancestors did you desynchronize and lose the game
Only during the missions, and even then its basically "do it your way" for a lot of it. The rest of the game is just running around the open world stabbing dudes.
during the missions aka memories you need to follow guidelines or you get desynchronized but outside of the memories you are able to do anything
How do they keep that rule when the game is free roam?
missions, like gta
I am going to assume they based it how typical memory works. Most of the time, when big events happen, humans have a predictable memory priority. In the game, the main quests can be seen as the main memory, all things that were the most impactful. Side quests, while still important are things that do not change the big picture in the end, if anything they just added more clarity to the main memories. For example, I just failed a big exam, a side quest/memory would give more backstory on why, such as gaming all night. Regardless if i actually remembered that side memory (remembering could be seen as completing the sidequest) the main memory isn't altered because it is already told and done. And of course, the last on priority list would most likely be free roam travel. The travel, unless some event happened on the way, is seen as clutter, and not worth remembering unless specified. I can take whatever path i need to get to my job, but if nothing eventful happened, by the end of the week i most likely won't remember which paths i took, since it was not important
Assassin's Creed Edited on a Mac - copyright Apple 2016
lol he completely missed the point of the animus.
watching this after that I just watched the movie. I got 2 say your video was so much more entertaining.
The movie was complete shit, but I'm mad that CinemaSins doesn't comment its huge historical flaws (for example they used a Spanish flag that wasn't invented until centuries after that or that the queen Isabel/Elizabeth looked nothing like the actual Queen).
Or that Andalucía is a region not a city...
From the DEV of Ubisoft: "The Animus will give a context to the user within his/her knowledge, also Abstergo is modifying stuff" Or just this is not a time travel thingy but a regression. They don't move from place or time, they experience it. And because of that the scenario can be modified. Also for pure movie reasons, there is no proper spanish flag at that moment, and the rest of the world would be confused with the white and red cross flag, which was only for ships. Cheers!
Ubisoft, stop trying to justify bad plot holes in shitty movies.
Well the queen thing is not that bad since Leonardo in AC2 looks nothing like real life Leonardo did
How do you know what the real Queen looks like? She ruled about 5 centuries ago and there were not any pictures of her. Paintings of her could be faked by the artists to make her look in a better way.
You know, in the sequel, they should focus LESS in present and MORE IN THE PAST
No way the Desmond parts are why I play through the boring “actual game” parts
Pretty much the problem with all the new games
Alex Kelley desmond died like 6 years ago. He hasnt been part of the games since
Ha, the games should take this cue, im playing origins and i have zero interest in the present.
You know I get the feeling you could probably make a multi-game series about that and it would probably sell really well!
3:10 these two sins are pretty obvious. First one, she's keeping guards away so that he's convinced that he isn't being forced or restrained for psychic methods of trust. Second, she DID say to multiple guards to leave him be, including the ones near the stairs. 9:10 yes, cuts can be annoying, but long takes don't always work. They're AWESOME when they do, but if you can't make it work for certain scenes, don't do it. They might've tried doing more long takes, and they didn't come out too well.
Ian Mitchell have u seen aquaman, the fight against black manta in italy i think, dude, no cuts, brilliant
It's ironic that Cameron's 2009 Avatar is more Assassin's creed in feel than this very actual AC movie, even the machine that Jake used in Avatar is almost identical to the AC game's animus. In fact, Jake Sully was kind of "a Desmond" in a certain sense. Just replace the R.D.A in Avatar with Templars and you have a good equivalent.
its funny because even people who have played ALL the games still didn't what was going on
shinime kekemee lmfaoo
shinime kekemee I actually know exactly what's going on if u played the games it's interesting just poorly delivered by bad script and the fight scenes suck
Its was clear to me...
Also animus don't gather data like that but for movie's sake they added some shit.
shinime kekemee that's true, and it's bs that it all took place in Abstergo.
watching the assassins creed game cutscenes is more entertaining than this movie
A P definitely
Didn't even bother seeing the movie already knew it was going to be a disappointment
NothingFalse
True bro
AGREED
loving the animus 2.0 in the background of the new one too.... perhaps that's the way she likes to do things normally
I’m legit binge watching Cinema Sins for the past 2 hours
My 4 year old niece just called you "CinnamonSins" and now I'm dead..
your 4year old niece can correctly say cinnamon!? that's amazing!!
Ikr? I literally said cinnamon correctly for the first time my Junior year in high school and the lunch ladies all lost their crap.
same hahaha
Who doesn't know how to say Cinnamon correctly. Also, great, now your child will grow up to become like CinemaSins. You shall never watch a movie the same again.
Well I do now, jeeeeze.. But I still say "cat-ti-pid-er" at 22, soooo.. Also yes. My goal is to have my niece criticize the My Little Pony movie when we go see it in theaters B)
CINEMASINS. I BEG YOU TO DO SHARKBOY AND LAVAGIRL
There are no sins in this masterpiece
Char Rar oh yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes ohhhh yes
Char Rar "You dreamt ME? As a big, brown bad guy?"
Char Rar OH YES
Too many sins.
The reason the apple didn't break during the fight scene is because of the metal its made out off its like saying the sword of Eden should break after 1 hit
It would if this was a movie made from the game Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Watch the last few cutscenes in unity. It broke after one hit with a flimsy sword
the line...''presumably named Martha"... killed me!!! lmao
At 1:59 the father was speaking Arabic, NOT backwards spanish! He said: "لا شيء واقع مطلق", Which is pronounced: "la shay' waqie mutlaq ", and it means: "Nothing Is ِAbsolute..."
+1 for clearing that up Memo
Memo Rash kl shay' masmuh( everything is permitted)
BillBotelho it's what the text said...
Fingers McGeddon You're welcome.
Those who played the games would know that, but they never explained that in the movie.
You know, what I did like about this movie, is that the Spanish characters actually speak Spanish and not just English with an accent. I think just for that I can forgive some of the sins this film has. I'm a bit of a language and history nerd, so stuff like this actually make me happy
Even your ads are awesome ;)
Something tells me this guys didn’t play AC.
Something tells me that doesn't matter.
@@johns5638 feck off
@@DJDaisho if the movie cant properly convey the source material then its a bad movie
@@theunicornsrock and yet it did on desmonds point of view u prolly never played ac either but mostly everything here is on point maybe nesides the anubis its normally a vr headset but besides that everything good and conveys with the game
Yeah so what if he's never played AC. I've never read a Batman comic, but I know how Bruce Wayne's parents died and that it was a catalyst in his pursuit for justice in Gotham.
The thing I didn't like about this movie is how much of the games' lore they just ignored or assumed we all knew. They didn't once mention the Precursors, or Warren Vidic's creation of the Animus in the 80s, the Templar Satellite launch in 2012, Desmond Miles' time as Subject 17, what the Pieces of Eden could actually do, the fact that there's more than one Apple, EAGLE VISION, or really any of the moral and philosophical ideologies of the Assassins and Templars.
Is it just me or did this moving NOT HAVE AN ENDING?
Jordan Chandler it did not. at all.
Jordan Chandler I was so confused and disappointed
Such a confusing movie. No character development. No explanation of anything. The old battle scenes were pretty good but the modern day stuff was all crap. Fassbender phoned it in. And also who serves a steak with no side dish like a potato?
Jordan Chandler I eat that, although I usually eat with rice.
Not just you
I guess the movie caters mostly to fans of the games, because they incorporated popular imagery from the games, for example the bird. I loved it. Also got a massive kick out of seeing places I visited as a tourist get the AC treatment. Could you do a Everything Right with The Reluctant Fundamentalist next? That is such a well done, underappreciated movie. Your channel rocks ❤
14:32 My reaction when I see Cinemasins is being sponsored by a food store.
Aguilar speaks in Spanish: "The Apple is Everything" CinemaSins: "Apple fans - annoyingly loyal since 1492" LMAO
The first game did a good job of keeping things vague when they needed to be. Also, the genetic code for free will is insane. In the game the apple was a device which could enslave or control people, it was also one of many. Movie is over complicating for whatever reason.
1:30 sin 14 - yes there is a reason, the eagle is symbolic in the game and is used when you discover different areas...which you would have known if you played the game
Not the point. The movie needs to stand alone. If something in a movie makes no sense unless you've read the book or played the game, the movie has failed.
@@blatherskite3009 u idiot do u know what the eagle stands for to an assassin in.the games the eagle symbolizes the freedom that the assassins have its also technaclly the assassins mascot u must have never played the games cause in.the games assassins use eagles as weapons aswell
@@seanfactors9285 how many AC games have you played because in most you dont have a bird and in origins you have a falcon not an eagle
His voice is in my head and i apply sins in life as i move along....not just with movies
I wished you would have stopped around 9:00 to sin "Kristen Stewart" for the fact that she is a trained assassin, but during several moments of the fighting clips she couldn't even hold her own. She was a damsel for most of the fighting from building to building. Am I the only one who noticed this? How is she even an assassin?
JejuneFox Problem with the games too. Despite being trained assassins, they are easily outrun by merchants and even children. Sometimes, they seem too powerful, and at other times, they are pathetic.
I can go from to slaughtering all the guards while taking no damage, to not being able to catch a courier Good thing i had sleep darts
I was also surprised at how well the soldiers kept up with people actually running up, over and through houses... like they had some kind of minimap telling them exactly where the assassins were AND superspeed! They wouldn’t have given up the chase quick but nor should they have been around every corner the assassins turned
Yeah, about those 15 minutes of credits. I watched this film in cinemas with a friend, and we decided to see if there was a cutscene. We waited through the fifteen minutes of credits (I bet half of those names are made up) and were rewarded with some annoying logo of a dead bunny foetus or some shit. Then the guy who worked at the cinema asked if we had been waiting for a cutscene, after he watched us watch the credits for 15 minutes while he played on his phone, then, and my friend said yes, and he replied to him that we could've checked the reel or some shit and seen if there was another scene. This guy just watched us watch the credits for a quarter of a hour and only at the very end told us that we could've skipped it. Thank you cinema cleanup guy. Thank you
Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss lmao I hate when that shit happens
Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss as a cinema employee, I can confirm that that employee was mad at you for sitting through the credits. not saying you shouldn't, just saying it sucks to have to rush cleaning bc some studio executives decided to take part of a movie and tack it to the end
If there is a post-credit cutscene than it's always at the first part of the credits where it's all fancy. It's never after the very long part.
aftercredits.com/ -- Save you some time in the future :P
just look it up on your phone next time. Nobody cares if you're checking your phone during credits; the lights are on by then anyway
I am absolutely thrilled that they used The Black Angles for the opening music, they are a great band and they should be as ubiquitous in modern war movies as CCR is to Vietnam War movies but instead... here we are
2:26 - that's not a shelf, it's a seat. It's pinned to the wall/floor to stop prisoners using it as a weapon. +1 sin to CinemaSins!
Why couldn't they do the story of Desmond miles and Altaïr Ibn La Ahad
Splitzerx Gaming because it continues the story and not re does it
or any fucking assassin or character from a game
@@BlackxExorcistitsyaboi it will much better if it gone copy paste the first game!! Just add the back story of the character and some more shits and voila!! You have a good game/movie

@@awe7266 yes thank you , I have done a typo, also I'm not native englishman.
This movie is so beneath Michael Fassbender I can't believe it. You're getting one of the best actors I can think of and have him play a block of wood. Wtf
Agree with you the council does
marcus24000 what was good about it in your opinion?
I mean, if you already know all the shit they never think to explain then sure If you are one of the many people that hasn't played the games this movie is just a big middle finger filled with mediocre editing
Sam Forbes-Fairfax I've played two of the games. Still thought the movie was a waste of time and money.
Not gonna lie Fassbender isn't even the best actor in the film. Brendan Gleeson is a much better actor let alone Jeremy Irons
I can't yell you how much I laugh every time I watch CinemaSins.
Hey, Cinemasins! Allow me to add several sins: 1. Andalucía is not a Citiy or town. Is a County, like Yorkshire & Humber. Several important cities are in Andalucía like Seville, Cordoba or Granada. 2. Aguilar's accent when speaks in Spannish is so strong that Spanish speakers have to read the English subtitles to understand him. 3. Queen Isabella is portrayed in such a terrible way in the "Auto de Fe" that for sure Ubisoft deserves a legal complaint.
SMH, i hate to admit it but all these sins are warranted.. i really wish they can get one game to movie adaptation correct for once!! please!!
I'm gonne make a movie adoptation of runescape. The main character will just be grinding the whole movie and at the ends get's a skillcape. I think that would be a pretty good adoptation.
silent hill was nice.
GoodWithHands27 this is the movie this video game franchise deserves.
jash loominater like the actor in that one but haven't seen it
GoodWithHands27 Kancolle counts?
Andalucía is not a city, but a region of Spain. *CinemaSins Sin Counter: 1*
So the movie only gave a region of Spain and no city to place its movie? That's about the vagueness I expected from this movie where literally nothing is explained.
It's also pronounced awn-duh-loo-see-yuh
Munjee Syed So.... infinity!
thanks for saving me the agony of watching this, well, movie..
I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen you sin credits
1492 wasn't "badly coincidental"- it was the year of the Conquest of Granada, which is the whole deal with the last Sultan(or whatever) giving over the apple and the deal with the Inquisition. It WAS Colombus' year, but that's a good coincidence, not a bad one
Neonexus its not a coincidence at all. If you look at history, the only reason Columbus discovered the new world was due to the new monarchy of spain funding him
Daniel Kong new world? There were already ppl there
Long John this better be sarcasm
Ivan Rodriquez People *were* already there. Just because they weren't Europeans, doesn't mean that the land wasn't settled. It was just settled differently.
rediscovered would be a better word
*fails jump* "dumbass" XD
Panic! at the twenty øne carousels im very proud to be the 69th comment
The entire bird flying scene is a reference to the original Clash of the Titans. With Harry Hamilton starring as Perseus. The representation of the seagull was supposed to be Poseidon. As he flew that greek temple, I forgot the name of it but it's where all the gods hang out. Epic Movie, you should do CinemaSins for the original Clash of the Titans. Anytime actor Harry Hamilton is on the screen it is impossible to look away. The more I think about it the more I love water a great great beverage. Pepsi-Cola is a great Cola but so is Coca-Cola.
"Assassin's Creed may have satisfied some fans of the video game," from the description. No. No it did not. Honestly I imagine that there were probably more people who weren't fans of the games that liked it than there were fans of the games who did, by quite a massive margin. Basically this movie took a few of the concepts from the games, tossed them into a Hollywood movie algorithm machine, and turned out a massive mess that left everyone dissatisfied.......
