  • 2006's Fereder was the best player I've ever seen.

    • Not in this match though His match against davidenko the previous round was probably the best he played in that year

    • Pretty much, Fed only lost to 2 players in 2006, both in the eventual big 4 (Nadal & Murray). Even though he faced (& saved) match points against Roddick in shanghai. (& before anybody potentially says "Weak era this, blah blah no Nole yet", have you ever faced & beaten peak Davydenko, Robredo, Gonzalez, Roddick, Safin, or even Baghdatis?... think before you reply)

    • @@Dman9fpthe fact Nadal was getting to Wimbledon finals in 2006 with such an underdeveloped grass court game, weak era

  • It’s crazy how poor the quality of this highlights is considering it’s coming from the official US open KZhead channel.

    • I'm agree. But i guess that it was the quality picture was transmited in that year. I think the HD footage of this match we can find on youtube it was remastered or something.

  • CBS was aired US Open in 1080i High Definition format since 1999. Why official USO page still uploading SD versions of old matches?

  • No offence but tennis has evolved. If u weren't blinded by nostalgia, you would clearly see that even 2015 Federer hit the ball with more depth and power than here.

    • No offense but equipment has evolved. If you weren't blinded by ignorance, you would clearly know that strings and rackets changed a lot in 10 years

    • Yeah. Most *top* players from 2006 would look out of place today.
