After wrapping up their season in Azores Portugal, the team switches things up a bit and makes a quick 3 day pit stop in Nova Scotia before heading home. There they meet lead crewman OB Morton and legendary fisherman James Roberts to have their go at a new species, Giant Bluefin Tuna.
OB and James have spent nearly every season in Nova Scotia over the past 15 years catching some bluefin that tip the scales at over 1000 pounds. The two have been trying to take Anthony for years. With a down motor ending the season early in Portugal, it was the perfect excuse to spend a few days trying out something new.
Each day starts early and cold. With temperatures lower than 0 Celsius some mornings. The team keeps a sharp eye out driving in the dark to the marina every morning. They’re deep in moose country now. The next 3 days produce 6 giant bluefin with one estimated at 850 pounds.
Kevin and David get a crack at the fun and Anthony gets a feel for 70+ pounds of drag on a new kind of giant. This trip wraps up the 2023 season for the team. Next stop, Ascension Island. Stay tuned to see how our team gets to an island that hasn’t been visited in 8 years by outsider fisherman.

  • Why dont you take the hook out?

    @mickvoggenreiter2351@mickvoggenreiter23514 ай бұрын
    • It’s extremely difficult and dangerous to try and remove the hook from a pissed off 600lb+ animal. The hook will eventually rust out and it doesn’t impede the fish from feeding.

    • Yeah, I see a lot of kids these days with metal hanging off of their mouths, lips and noses, they still seem to be able to feed just fine at the local burger joint. 😂

  • Can someone please get a cost estimate for this company ? It’s got to very close to 50-60 million a year for all boats if not more for running costs and crew

    • When you're that guy, it doesn't really matter. I live in Orange County, and fish with some guys who work for him... I knew he was wealthy, but what really got me was when his company; Loan Depot, partnered or sponsored or whatever what is now called LOAN DEPOT FIELD in Miami, where the MARLINS play. Of all the MLB teams, he went for the MARLINS. Coincidence? I don't think. Anthony goes where Anthony wants to go...

    • Chip michalov catches white sharks, well over 1000lbs; off the Carolina coast. Stand up gear and a 50w at that… If you take a 130 with 1500 yards of 200lb hollowcore braid and a couple hundred yards of 200 or 250lb mono topshot And push the drag preset to the limits… I wanna see the fish that dumps that..

    • Stop. Catching a dink trout is not even in the same realm. Once you get a chance to catch larger species. There is no going back.
