  • I wonder what happened to the series

    • Busy busy, it will be back. I'm waiting till I have time to commit to it regularly though. Right now I don't have time to actually play the game AND make videos. I have one or two more episodes worth of Mars play recorded (from almost a year ago at this point). Once I get that out all content will be fresh play. I've learned a lot about both the game and making videos in the past year so I'm thinking of starting "season two" when I leave Mars. It will just be a continuation of the playthrough, but I'll do a little recap to start the first episode, and explain what I'm doing. Season two will be much the same as season one, but better quality, more focused throughout each episode, and more sustainable from a production standpoint.

  • This has been amazing to watch. The small grid limitation turns an ordinary find like grids/reactor components into invaluable treasure. I find myself getting excited along with you as you crack open the loot containers to see whats inside. Hats off to Leem. Not only did they leave an unraided base for you to rip through, but they did so in a way that used almost no PCU on their account. By attaching the beacon, and then rotor parting the unknown signal drop to the base. 200 IQ move. Leaving you a little treasure hunt as well. You got real lucky befriending them. That base was just wow. Never would I have thought to hand drill and drop in collectors. Either genius or over complicated to the max. I guess on a server with potential drill limits, or PCU limits, that makes a bit of sense. Really cool design though regardless. Love seeing what people do with this game. I can't wait to see the next episodes as you release them. Found your channel via your builds/tutorials, but this is by far the coolest content you've made IMO. Making me want to hop on multiplayer and play a pirate trader. (Probably wont subject myself to the SGO limits... Yet.) Fly safe.

    • Thanks! Glad you've been enjoying the series. It started as a whim one day, but has become quite an adventure. Leem certainly has a unique playstyle, and I'm grateful for their contribution to the series. Hopefully I'll have more friendly encounters in the future.

  • The structure to the side of the base is a lightning rod setup, with a welder for self repair.

    • Yeah, I don't know why I didn't recognize it the first time I looked. I've built one almost exactly like it before. XD

  • I've been using collectors in this way for years. With a small initial set up, it actually saves on time. No more hauling ore back, or losing ships down the hole. Just let gravity do all the work. With a gravity generator set to the inverse, you can make a tractor beam and do the same thing on asteroids.

  • If you have the dlc that gives you the searchlight block you can place that, lower the light frequency to zero and turn off idle movement and then use it as a player controlled turret to look around with it so that you don’t have as many subgrids. P.S. I found your channel a while ago but one day, about a week ago I saw you were doing a small grid only challenge and that is what got me to binge this series till now. I love building large small grid ships and rovers so this series has been lots of fun for me to watch…it’s gonna be a pain to wait for the next one but it’ll be worth it

    • Glad you've been enjoying the series. Hopefully I'll be getting back into it soon. I usually use the searchlight, but the problem with this setup is that it would be mounted upside down, which would be disorienting. Otherwise it is the preferred option.

    • Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm having a good time playing and making videos, so I don't worry too much about their reception. That said, I'll probably update the thumbnail for this one. I'm not happy with it and KZhead doesn't seem to like it either.

    • It may be long between episodes, but I do intend to make it to every planet and moon before the series ends. Glad you've been sticking around for it. :)

    • Nice, that was a crazy base, I've never seen anything like it. Was fun to explore, but I had to liberate a few resources. XD
