How you attach a lure to the rod is important. How strong is the connection and how fast you can change your lures.
This snap has been working great for me. It's a well known design but rather than buying them it's good fun making them myself. As in the shop they don't always have the size I want. By producing them myself I'm able to make them any size and not worry about snagging them.

Great video, thank you, they are useful for hanging things like outdoor decorations as well, many uses besides fishing.

What type of steel wire do you recommend to make these snaps? Does it need to be spring steel?

- Hello Glenn Chow. Thank you for your comment. If wire is to soft snap will be to weak and not work properly. Any kind of stiffer stainless steel wire will do. When I bought mine it was for making spinners and flying C lures. Hope that helps you out.
