Florida State Football Revival Led by Mike Norvell (2017 to 2023)

The loss of starting quarterback, Deondre Francois in 2017 seemed to mark the begging of the demise. Jimbo Fisher left the program in shambles. New hire Willie Taggert did nothing to help. His tenure was plagued by blowout losses to all major rivals, loss of recruits, and overall despondency from fans. After a disastrous couple of years, Florida State's football program has finally seen a glimmer of promise under new head coach Mike Norvell.

    • True. To be frank, Coach Norvell is Willie 2.0. However, Coach Norvell has had enough sense to put the proper coaches around him to make things work. Which is what Willie didn't do.

  • This all started with Jimbo refusing to make changes on his staff. Tricket and charles Kelly needed to go but loyalty killed him. It took a decade to find a good oline coach and decent d coordinator. Finally getting quality lineman

  • Fun fact: The very first BCS national championship was FSU vs TN, we lost. The very last BCS National Championship was FSU Vs Auburn, we won. The very first College football Playoff was FSU Vs Oregon, we lost. This year, the very last College football playoff with the traditional 4 team scheme, we could win! 🤔 There might be pattern here. GO NOLES🍢

  • Florida State is a joke. They embarrassed themselves whining about the CFP, and had several players quit because they care more about their careers than the Seminole nation. 63-3. Bear Bryant certainly wouldn't approve.
