How were you able to change the appearances of the sages?

By using cas.fulleditmode, on the "world map" look for the sims in the non-playable households, choose edit, edit, save and change it back to non-playable character. :)

@@skeletoninyourbody9896 Your brains have woken up, but the rest of your body not. That is one of the reasons being on why you can observe your surroundings. Even when you cannot move your body nor speak, you're not completely asleep whilst having sleep paralysis.
There's a poition that makes you younger, and takes your sims age meter back to the start of the life stage. However, there's a spell that allows you to copy ingredients, and yes even this poition. I have a sim who mastered all spells and potions, and she has random sims trapped in her house who she teaches magic. On their own they learn the copy spell for more potions for her. Most die, because they use too much magic trying to learn the spell, or.. No that's it most die.😂

@@danc893 That's kinda a weird reason to claim the Sims 4 is worse. And it doesn't add up. Sims 3 had 22 ways to die, and with Realm of Magic, Sims 4 ALSO has 22 ways to die. Literally the same amount of ways to die.

Random theory: Morgyn seems to be new to spell casting in the trailer, and he's a sage now. So, some time has passed since then. It's possible the sages were replaced because they died (or retired?) between when the trailer takes place and when the game joins the magic realm.

@@Falkraath Nnno, I know that. I think everyone knows EA is cheap and somewhat unscrupulous. I just think the publisher has nothing to do with this particular change. It's not like they used the worse looking characters in the ad and the nicer ones in the game, which might occur if EA was forcing a tighter deadline on the advertisement. This is definitely more of an in-house decision.

Wasn't there a story about the playable Realm Of Magic taking place a while ago after Morgyn turned into a sage resulting in them "passing down" their Sage position to an heir or something??? But the trailers had the same townies not aged so idk
The old sages, i.e. the sage of untamed magic shown in the first trailer and the sages of practical and mischief magic shown in the second trailer, can be found on Maxis' gallery account. ^^

Tbh one of the things that made me love the pack was the music. The soudtrack when you open the spellbook it just so mysterious and magical, just like the ones in build and buy mode. Just beautiful ♥
9:58 We love a good Medusa flopping her tail to a magical portal and question, will the magic hq have requirements on the lot that we don't have on the hidden objects catalog, or is it just like a generic lot (so no requirements). cuz that building is ugly
Not that I'm aware of. You can try editing them yourself by using the bb.enablefreebuild on the lot
Yeah, I wish we could properly interact with familiars too. I think it's adorable that they'll actually comment on your spellcaster progress, but I want to hug them too, darn it. And I see overcharge works like being eaten by the cowplant or suchlike -- one time won't get you, but twice DEFINITELY will. Also, that special bloodline trait has got me thinking -- can you get all three "inheritable" traits on a Sim at once? I think you can, via this method: befriend a Sulani Elemental and add them to your family -- they'll have the Sulani Mana trait, which can be passed to their offspring. Turn the former Elemental into a Spellcaster (I don't THINK they're ineligible), which will make their kid eligible for the Weak Bloodline trait. Finally, have them romance and have a baby with Father Winter, giving the child the Father Winter's Baby trait. Voila! Sim with all three inheritable traits. :P

I hope someone comes up with a mod to tone down the spellcasters, they seem overpowered, like at some point I could just make the fill all needs potions and survive off those
You can just not use it, like cheats you know? They are wizards and witches, they supposed to be all powerful.
You guys know the needs can be shut off just from completing a few aspirations right?

There is one on ModTheSims, called Spellcaster Tweaks by kutto. It nerfs them

You are making me to install realm of magic
A bit late for a reply, but recently playing with a hybrid mod for a Vampire/Spellcaster I found that the best way to remove thirst is from brewing the need fulfillment potion. A single apple can get you 12 potions that fully restore your stats, including your thirst that you’d otherwise have to eat several times to fill.
How did you get to change the sages to the ones that were in the trailer? Are they on the gallery?

I read (on TV tropes) that the trailer mages where the old mages...you saw Morgan being trained by the olde sages along side his counterparts in the trailer.

The best thing about cauldrons is that food does not get spoiled. Another thing is you can cook mac and cheese at spellcasters HQ (there are a few cauldrons) and no one would take a single portion. You can travel somewhere else, come back and your mac and cheese will still be waiting for you. 🙂

FUN FACT: the bloodline trait also applies for vampires if you have the Vampires DLC.
How do I replace the sages with a gallery one?
Testing cheats on Cas.fulleditmode Then shift click who you want to change.
@@kymberlyheldreth3455 That just lets you edit them. Not replace them.
@Some Normal Person On KZhead still doesn't replace them, that just makes a new Sim and doesn't replace them as the Sage.
