Today I'm gonna be showcasing 10 new features that you might not know in the newest expansion pack of The Sims 4, Discover University.

Its a VERY small feature. But once your sim graduates they get a cute little graduation portrait!!! Its pretty much just a picture but wow, it made me love the pack even more.

Yeah, I just wish there were different poses cause my sims had 3 kids and their uni pictures are all the same.

As a college student I can confirm that death by catastrophic meltdown is absolutely possible with humans too
But it doesn't have some cool technological music. It's basically the same as embarrassment and the very sad sound making a remix.

Death by overexertion was recycled and lazy, they surely could have added a new ghost state to signify what they were doing prior to death, maybe this new Ghost type could go around "draining" skills from other sims, because let's face it, our sims are all Leonardo da Vinci themselves with their varied skillsets, having a Haunted sim go around stealing skills would have been awesome.

I mean they gave everybody the pack they were screaming for - give them a break, they're only human Go find a mod for it or make one yourself if you're so upset about it
@@zoee3296 ah yes they did such a charity cleaning our wallets of money, and we aren't even allowed to critic the game, we just have to swallow whatever they worked so painfully hard to *give* us! I'LL never understand these people that excuse maxis for absolutely anything.

The entire university DLC gave me anxiety tbh, I can't really play it until I graduate

I was way too excited to see Sombra lol. Props to you Also, I didn't know any of these, so thank you for this. I haven't played as much university as I'd like to because I've been just playing Overwatch in my spare time haha

Does playing Discover University feel extra weird/stressful because you yourself are working on your degree? Like, not only do you have to take care of your own coursework, you gotta take care of your Simself too! :p Seriously, though, thanks for the vid -- I've been looking for more info on the Secret Society! And it's nice to see the "new" death too -- I was wondering how contributing knowledge worked, and how it could possibly kill you. . .

There is a choking animation for young children in the game so this stuff does not surprise me at all. XD

I like how deep you always make your videos while it's also short and to the point at the same time
I love the use of SOMBRA to showcase the engineering stuff! And I always loooove the group dance at the end hahaha. Super fun!

I have enjoyed your perspective and presentation of 10 new features. Thank you for an entertaining indepth features on roomates (advertising) and the secret organization especially. A tip: when you make an offering for academic success, you can leave an excellent piece of cake or pie and not the whole cake itself. When the focused moodlet expires, go ahead and make another offering. So one baked excellent cake can provide several offerings.
There were some things that I didn't know about :) Thank you for showing everything to us in such a detailed video. Awesome job as always!

I love the motivator animations! I've never even tried one of those motivators, I thought they were just some kind of moodlet-aura decorations. Now I'm totally gonna use them for storytelling!

Nice choice in using Sombra to demonstrate the engineer branch. *Shudders at the thought of what Sombra would be like if she could hover and hack people.*
Since you didn't mention the robot arm, the robot arm increases the robotic skill faster when applied and lessens the chance that your sim will be electrocuted. It also is unlocked when you have the computer engineer job. Just commenting this so people will know since it was a bit hard for me personally to figure out its use.

Whoa, had no idea about the new "exertion" death. I just figured the livestream was talking about the robot's death. Btw, what stuff pack theme are you voting for? I voted for Happy Hauntings, with Arts and Crafts coming in a close second.

Solid fun video with a few things that were new to me! Only request is to check mic levels in the future (First vid but I'll check out a few others) as the audio for your voice over is both very loud and peaks often.

Amazing video! One thing I would like to know is about the person that comes to take your stuff after ignoring payments, do the people teleport on to your lot or spawn outside.... if they spawn outside, then if u built a wall around your house could they get in?
ok but hearing that if a servo dies, they will be gone PERMANENTLY is kinda sad. Like imagine if you had a special connection with a servo you made, then not being able to revive or interact with them again 😭 It would've been so nice if you can try to fix them. I can only imagine a storyline where one of the first generation heirs made a servo, but then years later they got broken down having them temporarily unplayable. AND THEN, generations after, someone found their robotic parts are found in an old house, then they got rebuilt again 🥲

Servo ghosts exist. I used the torments mod to kill a servo, and they came back as a ghost! (I used a magic sim to summon their ghost. Though I’m sure they will show up at some point.) At least I can have a servo who doesn’t go to university, at a university now.
Well yeah you can technically kill anyone such as servo with mods that will result them being a ghost, but we're talking about normal vanilla gameplay here.

Hardcore studied with my sim on university, roommates threw parties all the time. Great food source.

8:50 - I have a big problem with that. I sacrificed around 5 crystals and I've done it properly. I even made friends with some of the people in the sorority. But the never actually came to my house :-(
Gum Girl When I tried to join I made some baked goods of excellent quality and sacrifice them on the statue. They came. I got really tired of the cult quickly though, those sprites was a pain in the ass all the time. Couldn't get anything done, either my sim was embarrassed or stressed out from it. Could never do what I wanted, so I left rather quickly 🙈
the Exo Suit - stopped playing due to lots of bugs and glitches, just starting from scratch again, hopefully ill manage to get my suit by cheating cos it actually takes sssssssoooo long playing its really awkward, anyway nice video nicely explained didnt know about those other things well if u never get anywhere ( bugs and glitches) ...better luck this time round!

I wish I had seen this earlier. I was just playing and secret society member showed up at my sims house. I started talking to her and I didnt have option to ask her to join. now I know to wait for them to ask me

I once got a roommate who was addicted to cooking, GASTRONOMIC cooking. When he left, I was left with at least 20 plates of 8 servings of Thermidor lobster as well as several other dishes. Some days, he would cook 5 to 7 plates. Luckily, I had the best fridge, fully upgraded, so, it did not spoil for the nearly 1 year that it toke to eat it all...
