at 7:45 you realise how quiet that bullet is as you see a bird just casually fly by without a single care
Ngl when the bird turned I thought he hit the bird
I thought the bird got it too then I saw the bird do a 180 because it left the heat wave left in the air. 😅
14 lbs of hun too
I live in north central Idaho and am disabled.I have to specialize my kit for back country elk to my ability. The 8.6 was designed to run accurate at distance with short barrel.A 6 inch barrel folding bolt gun i can wear on my chest with without being unweildy is a game changer for me.....hope these do what i figure
What's the effective range ?
The twist rate means it's a bit harder at longer distances.
@@user-vk2cd9qw7i these guys are reaching at 500 all day long with no issues with a 6 inch barrel
@@andrewcarlson2178 500-600 is no problem making it well with in the standard I need
I'm really curious what disability and back-country elk hunting looks like. You should make a utube video. Most Americans are in too poor of health (self imposed disability) to backcountry ... anything. Being off trail is incredibly hard.
Micah’s “stop cussing” followed by Mike’s sheepish “sorry” is perhaps my favorite moment
nah 2 seconds later charles fingering the gel and telling micah to get a top down view haha
That “sorry” was the most relatable thing for me
Charles goes into time out due to the things he do but mostly say
Yeah, gotta wonder what that's about.
"Cow Tipping at a Feminist Rally"- Charles the Goat
And here I thought "Cow Tipping" was just the dating scene here in Ohio.

i couldn't laugh at it now, but goddamn i wanted to, i held that laugh harder than i held my shit at school as a kid, i'll start calling charles "The Oyster Man" because in every episode he's in he spits out a pearl like this one

I fucking lol'ed.
5:11 "Ohhhh you remember when that lady dropped her kid at the" -clip changes- I'M WHEEZING 🤣
Charlie at 15:20: "It feels like... You know when she has seen other people..." Awesome, I´m still crying 🤣🤣🤣
This quieter than the room after Charlie voices his intrusive thoughts…
Best comment.
🤣
quieter than when I walked into a feminist rally and asked why they were having a cow show

Oh man, I'm jealous. I still haven't finished my 12.5" Faxon 8.6 BO build. I've got some Gorilla 285gr Fracturing Subsonic ammo, and have been waiting to see how they perform. Thanks for the great video !

Pretty sure they don't do retakes that's just his intrusive thoughts raw and their actual responses unless you mean things getting pulled for spice levels.

Never seen Garand Thumb speechless that many times in a video. 😂😂Charlie was really on a roll in this one!!
Thanks guys. Really cool video.
I want to be able to like this more than once. Great video
Thanks for letting Charles and his wisdom back on the channel, pure gold. I am sure he is a PR nightmare but we love him.
When I owned my gun shop we were direct dealers for Fort Scott Ammunition. That stuff is pure beauty. And, it performs as well as it looks. Machined projectiles.... oooooof.
I run the 300blk TUI, it’s great
I love those rifles from Q. I want one myself. I love that Kevin increased the amount of rotation the barrel gives. Which is what you guys see in the gel with the twisting through it. Also I used the information to write a paper while i was in SDI for gunsmithing lol
First saw this gun in a game. Modded DayZ. The Fix 8.6 BLK which looks crazy light weight & super quiet. Sick weapon. Awesome video as always guys.
1:3 twist rate is basically a corkscrew for a projectile. Also, Charlie wearing his Sunday best says it all. Now that's a church shirt!

“So anyway I was at this beet farm” Honestly that’s the most sane comment from Charlie lol
I don't believe that I laughed harder at any other episode! Thank you gentlemen. My wife walked into the room just before the head shot. I laughed so hard at her reaction!
That cow tipping comment had Garand like, "Must...contain composure. Have to... keep...channel alive." 😆
Hey Mike, I’ve been watching your content for since 2019. You may not know it but your content has had a big impact on me and helped me find my calling an my country’s armed forces. Even though you don’t do as many of the army inside jokes, quips, and stand in front of a black background anymore, me and the boys still love the content every week. Keep it up man
Can we talk about how awesome Charlie’s shirt is!! Absolutely amazing.
It's very interesting how some of these cartidges resemble extremely old full rifle cartridges that had a very LONG projectile and rounded nose. I don't know enough to know what the twist rates were for those old guns but I cannot imagine they are as tight as 8.7BLK. Fun to see how some older concepts mixed with new tech and modern manufacturing are becoming cutting edge
do we get plastic poisoning from watching these?
That 1:3 twist is insane!
Yes. The best gun innovations happen when you play with physics
When NASA tested and confirmed success at changing an asteroid's orbit by ramming a satellite with it, someone said we really are THAT good at throwing things. And the BLK is just another proof of that. Missiles, lasers, electronic CCs, but at the end of the day our best weapons will always be guns.
it makes sense for subsonics to be round nose. Makes the bullet heavier for the length, doesn't really need long range capability as much and is generally better at imparting energy into a target.
I forgot to include this in your last video but my local gun shop started playing your videos on a screen in their store it's awesome
Charlie's one-liners are touching the tism in my brain and I love it.
Excellent content and science.
Very interesting video. And Charlie killed it with the dad advice.
...." and communists are not people " has to be the most based dad advice ever
I would add that pretend-not-to-be-communists aren't people either.

How do you explain Charlie to her? xd
@Tomemos1Jager honestly, some of the things he says have to be explained just from a comedic stand point, but, he doesn't really say anything much worse than her father.

Hello ,this is patrick!
I agree with Charles. Definitely the go to round for Chesters.
This video was amazing. But my favourite part was the dad advice 🤣🤣
I've always appreciated the power and precision of subsonic ammunition, and this video only solidifies that. Keep up the good work!
Never thought of subsonic rounds as powerful and precise.
"Top down view, Micah" This is peak Charlie. Edit: 12:22 is peak.
Garand's laugh is exactly like Tucker's, lol.
Had me.going on the term JARGON ( ... a nod to GARAND THUMB... ) " EPIC WOUND FARTS "... definitely one worth expanding upon! A video to refer back to for the expanding flatulence new jar head gon. Respectfully, Seth
We luv ya Charlie... we damn sure don't know what we would do without you. 8.6 isn't a cost effective round. Like the 5.7 cost per bullet is honestly outrageous and not worth buying the gun for the ammunition or buying the ammunition for the gun.. 5.56 (M855) 5.45, 9mm, 12Ga, .22 are still my Mass Ammo groups for when shit hits the fan
Im not even halfway through the video and I've decided to add an 8.6 to my collection.
It's fun and I have yet to have someone dislike shooting it. It just gets expensive to shoot if you don't reload it. It can be anywhere from $50-90 for a box of 20, depending on the shipping and what load you go with. It's as easy as doing a 300blk swap for an ar15 just need the barrel and gas block then it's a straight swap for a AR308/LR308, everything else is the same even my bolt is for a .308
Garand thumb= national icon Charles= national treasure
Those spiral twists in the ballistic gels are a work of art
If you could somehow make a mold of it.... that would be awesome.
Charlie was great this episode. By far my favorite comedic relief.
Finally. I've been hoping y'all would make this video for a long long time
Charles went hard today 😂 I loved it! And an awesome round. Hope it makes enough of an impact to become common in the market.
That is the greatest shirt I’ve ever seen Charles!

Please keep the videos coming, this one had some of the best one liners ever
I JUST watched the Demo Ranch video on this cartridge last night. Good timing!
I love Charlie. He never fails to drive the short bus to college.
Great round for the MDA rallies. Charlie's stock sucker shirt is beautiful.
Now this is a ballistic test I'm interested in
6:15 Second one literally tries to twist the whole gel block around. Epic
You are one of the best Mike. Charlie makes the team unstoppable.
I’ve been an off and on watcher of the channel over the last few years and never really noticed Charles’ comedy but he really took it to 11 in this one. Had me laughing the whole time and had to rewind multiple times for the actual info in the video.
This is gonna be fun😌(and basically 5k views in 10 mins? Congrats guys!)
The cork screw wound channel is very very cool.

Hands down the most entertaining videos on the internet! Thank you Garand Thumb.❤
I am working a lot. I could have had the first Semi(That worked), in this round. Thanks for the video! Mika, you are awesome!
By the way, just use old 6.5 creedmore brass. I shoot F-class, so I went from Starline LRP brass to Lapua SRP brass(Guess what the Starline brass became). Then get Accurate 1680. And some .338 bullets (It has to be bonded) and you can make your own for less than $1 a round.
