I played Bastion recently and was really touched by this song at the ending. So, I looped it.
-- What is a seamless loop? --
It's when the music is repeated but you can't hear the start or stop of the track. The song should seamlessly flow back to the beginning as though it had always been written that way.
This music is not mine. I simply extended it.
Extended with Audacity.
My gosh this song is never gonna get old
Never...
Ever...

Only thing I really miss is singing with other people... that and... ah, well...
I was listening to Hades soundtrack and this got queued in. I don't know anything about Bastion but this song made me cry like a little bitch. It's wonderful.
It hits even harder when you know the story! Also, the folks who made Hades also made Bastion. Definitely check it out. :D
The lore behind the song is... heartbreaking, you crying like a little bitch is no shame, I did to.
i never played bastion but this was recommended for me, im deffo gonna try out the game if the ost is this beautiful
This was SuperGiant's first game- you'll notice a TON of similarities between Bastion and Hades and all for good reasons.
This song gave me SEVERE goosebumps when I heard it in bastion, and it stuck with me after the final events of that game played out the way it did. I HIGHLY recommend it if you haven’t played it. And before you ask, I decided not to harbor a grudge and saved who needed saving.
this song was the first videogame ost that made me tear up. it still does after 10 years
I set my sail Fly, the wind it will take me Back to my home, sweet home Lie on my back Clouds are makin' way for me I'm comin' home, sweet home I see Your star You left it burnin' for me Mother, I'm here Eyes open wide Feel your heart and it's glowin' I'm welcome home, sweet home I take your hand Now you'll never be lonely Not when I'm home, sweet home I see Your star You left it burnin' for me Mother, I'm here
I wish I could hear this performed live.
I'm surprised Darren Korb and Ashley Barret haven't contemplated doing a live Supergiant concert. I'd pay a lot to go see that.
@@GhostHacker55 While I haven't been to any of them myself, they have actually performed some live shows which are uploaded: Live 10th Anniversary Orchestral Show: kzhead.info/sun/kqaxdbCDiaqYp3k/bejne.html Supergiant Games Orchestra - PAX EAST 2020: kzhead.info/sun/ZJyMepSpjYWhqp8/bejne.html London Acoustic Set (my personal favorite but they're all REALLY close!): kzhead.info/sun/mdSHpcd6r5uqdJs/bejne.html Enjoy and if you there ever is another live set I hope to see you guys there! :)
Well... Now You can since they performed live in TGA at least it's something

Ya did a pretty good job, just wish you included build that wall which gets used a bit in these songs so its important that it plays first, and then have it cycle through them all seamlessly. Also the beginning only plays once, which can be used as breaks, it isnt too hard to cycle it through I dont think.
Since I use Audacity and just cut and paste the waveforms directly, I don't have a lot of flexibility when I try to loop the songs. There are some I can't loop, or some which only have a very short segment that can be looped, and it doesn't actually sound very good. I aim to make my edits 100% seamless because that's how I want them and I make these for myself first and foremost. Because the second part of this song is so strong musically, it would be difficult to loop back to the beginning of the song. Besides that, I enjoy the second part of the song more anyways, so I didn't even bother trying to loop back to the start. :) But I did want to include it, because I felt like it was an important part of the mood of this entire piece. I would do the same thing if I looped Asgore's theme from Undertale, for example.

I left Zul and did Restoration just a moment ago... Beautiful song :) And well, since I binged the game, the time that ZulF* was with me was very VERY short, seemingly. In IRL time anyways. * (see, I don't even know his name properly, he was THAT unimportant to me) And, in that short amount of time he hijacked and boarded our home and lived like a parasite, then got a book that only he could read, didn't cooperate with it, then left and betrayed & then freaking INVADED us (which killed MY beautiful SQUIRT, how dares he?!), and then even stole our girl... Like... What?? Yeah, nah fam. Toodles bitch, you stay dead, and don't worry, since the beginning of the story, our quest was to restore the Bastion, and because Ruck knew what for - and since he MADE IT - yeah, the quest from the start was to turn back time and undo the calamity and the war. So I did that. You're good, and alive, and thank me in the next life. And while I do all that, you can lie there on the floor and rethink your awful actions. On the subject of Zia, though... Yeah, I kinda simped. Even got the game itself because I heard "her" song (waaAAy too many times... Like, that song needs a restraining order haha) on KZhead first :) Buuut, the simping is not the only thing required in that relationship. The gramps is the OG here, and it's basically his (Ruck's) story, we just help develop it. He's the narrator. Hell, he might've already heard or lived this story a few times by turning back time, or he might've even BEEN the kid ("reminds me of myself when I was a kid" + he knows everything in vivid detail, but how when we know from the dream sequences that the protagonist/the kid/we are not the talkative type). Anyhow, just theories here, from a great and fun story and game ^^ But, alas, yes. Simping ain't enough, and she left, for Zulf non-the-less, soooo... Gramps gets the Restoration ending.
Saving Zulf was one of the most powerful moments I've ever experienced in a game. Totally get why you'd be upset with him though--that's what you're supposed to feel. :)
And that's why saving him ANYWAY, instead of having thepowerful artifact, is just that good. Also, can you picture his face when you tell him, no, I'm restoring.
