Sci-Fi Short Film "The Super Recogniser" | DUST | Starring Jacob Anderson | Throwback Thursday
They know your face and they are watching.
Starring Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones)
"The Super Recogniser" by Jennifer Sheridan
More About "The Super Recogniser":
Thanks to his exceptional facial recognition skills, Scott (Jacob Anderson) has been recruited to work in a secret government initiative. Under the watchful eye of his tough-talking supervisor Agent Williams (Ritu Arya), this Super Recogniser is over-worked and under pressure as he spends hours seeking terrorists and criminals captured on CCTV cameras.
Director's Statement:
I made this short after finding out a friend of mine had interviewed to become a 'Super Recogniser' for the Metropolitan Police. He didn't get the job unfortunately, but I started learning about what a Super Recogniser is and does and ideas began to form. Before I knew it I had a script and was raising the money to make it into this short. I'm really happy with how well it did on the festival circuit and now I'm developing it into a TV series. Really excited about where this idea could go.

Handsome man! What a great actor! 🌹
Well made and acted. Interesting story. Plus - Agent Williams - What a beautiful compelling face!
Nice to see Grey Worm getting some roles
The real Super Recognizer ☝🏻
I know!
You should watch Adulthood with him
You do know he is on Interview with the Vampire!
Typical IT support: "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
It seems to me that this is the simplest and most obvious thing that can come to mind 😅
This was great and the first time I have seen this and bonus Ritu Arya from The Umbrella Academy 🎉🎉🎉, thanks for posting
Great film. Very enjoyable. My only tiny tiny facts-based criticism, which has nothing to do with the quality of the film itself, is that the Super-Recogniser Unit in the Metropolitan Police was formally created in 2015 not 2005. I was the independent psychologist leading the project. However, I ran my first tests on the ability of a few police super-recognisers in April 2011, which was when we knew they were exceptionally good at tasks involving the recognition of faces.
This channel is awesome. This is better than paid TV and it is free.
This is my favorite KZhead channel. Awesome job guys.
Still as good as when I originally saw it.
Raleigh Ritchie 🎉🎉🎉
Nice piece of work. That was this guy's job in 2005. Now AI does it all in Surveillance State Amerika.
Bravo!😮😊💯👍!
Well done. Shades of "Get Out" (coincidental as both films were released in 2017). The writing was superb, as was the acting. The directing, however, is what makes the film. Balancing storytelling and tension within a techno-fantasy milieiu is a challenge for any director, but Jennifer Sheridan makes it look easy. The goon squads were a low point -- were they going to blow-dry the fugitives into submission? They looked like hairstylists-turned-welders gone mad. Anyway, overall, though, a really well done short, especially given the project's limited budget. 4.1/5
This gives me Minority Report vibes
VERY entertaining. Timely too...
For a second there, I thought "Anyone who knows what love is" was gonna play 😂
1 day i feel like i seen this
Remember 80% civilians....and they mysteriously cant remember the 20% criminals. Who thought of this. They not watching anything
Excellent
I actually watched a good short film. Everything is well filmed, well-acted by the actors, and the plot pleases with an unexpected ending. The message was very vague, the emphasis was either on doubt about the reality of the world around us, or on something else, but I won’t guess for a long time. I'm unlikely to guess anyway. But the short is quite good, here's my verdict 😊
✌
Reupload? I saw this so long ago
Reminded me of Source Code.
Nice song 😊 what a nightmare the metaverse thing. 👽
I’m hoping to make a full version of it one day and release the soundtrack on Spotify, will leave a comment here once it’s out!
If they used cameras instead the remembered percentage would be 100%. Do the math, remember the science part of science fiction.
The Multiverse
I don't mind throwbacks, but wasn't this just recently part of a theme group video? I would think Dust could attract some independent shorts that get few views on their own channel by offering a small percentage of their revenue from the video.
Computers have the whole purchasing planet identified. Those that come across our border are identified. They don't need implant a number.. that would be a waste of resources.
What's the song in Spanish in the beginning?
I wrote it for the film (it’s my wife singing). I’m planning on releasing a full version so will leave a comment here once it’s on Spotify
@@CatoHoebenGreat. Thank you. Muchos gracias.
Nice to see Louis doing something without Armand and Claudia.
Interesting concept, very big brother.
It's worm boy!
use caution ⚠ ⚠⚠
Podiam pensar nos velhinhos assistindo e aumentar o tamanho das letrinhas. Só pensando alto aqui...
Seen this before.
Yes, hence the “Throwback Thursday” in the title.
This was released long ago. We need some new material, please.
That's what Throwback Thursday means.
I'm ok with this because I wasn't watching "DUST" years back.
Old
Writing too small and blurry to read at the start! Thumbs down and outta here...
