Hey, Phil, just feel inspired to share a moment of my history…50 yrs ago❣️ I was all of 15. My beloved Mother took her own life. After two funerals and the sharing of shock and all, with our church jam packed, and then in Michigan, where she was laid to rest..I finally had a chance to go to me best friend’s home, and hang out with our bunch. I still sought solitude, not able to process nor understand what had actually happened. Everyone had their thoughts, but… anyway, I sat alone outdoors, while my friends played pool in the basement…in the Midwest. It was pouring rain, and I mean pouring, so heavy you’d want to pull over if driving! It matched my mood. And I still remember whispering to the Lord, “ I hurt so badly, I can’t cry. But You send the rain, and it’s like my unshed tears.” I had a Bible my parents gave me when I was confirmed. I’d never even opened it, really. That night, under my sheets, I asked God to show me the scripture in my heart,” Yea, though I walk through the valley of death…” which, we’d read in church during her first service. I had no inkling where it was, but He knew, and I soon found it, and found my tears and comfort in Psalm 23. I think about that, when I look out over the waters on the beach, in Lido Isle, Newport Beach. There, years later, when I was 21, my brother died in a motorcycle crash. And, there at the hospital he died in, I gave birth to my son, four years later. By then, I’d been born again, my kids were at MCA where you and your kids went to school, and I’d married a Pastor from CCCM❣️💜 God was so faithful…I never dreamed I could grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus, and my best friend…well, we are still best friends, I’m 66 now, and she’s 67. She invited Jesus in, many years ago, once, on a dirt road back in the woods, where we’d go just to enjoy the beauty of a lake in Wisconsin. 😊 I love your music, she does, too❣️ The Hometown versions are such a blessing, and I thank you,for all of it❣️ My Deaf ears enjoy snippets of your voice, with my high-powered headphones. Hoping you’ll be back to Sacto, soon❣️♥️♥️♥️

Thank You 🙏 for your beautiful Words and Prayers and Music 🎵 it really Helps me get buy in Life I’ve been disowned by my family and Adult children because of my medical opinions and political beliefs and choices and because I am a Christian Woman I am disabled and elderly and I’ve been all alone for the last five to six years total all alone and I’ve been verbally abused badly by my own Adult Children and other family members.Two of my Adult daughters I’ve been blocked on their cellphones 📲 and I don’t even know where they live I have no idea 💔I’ve not seen even one of my five grandchildren in five years.I spend most nights crying myself to sleep 😴….Thank you Philip
I am so sorry. Thank you for sharing this. I pour my life pains into the Book of Psalms, specifically chapters 20 and 91 which I pray out loud daily. If you need to confess any sins or wrongdoing, get on you knees and confess to the Lord who will forgive you and shower you with his Grace. God bless you enormously
